00:00Hello and welcome. Good evening. You're watching Super 6 here on India Today.
00:05I'm Akshita Ananda Gopal and I'll be getting you all the top stories that we're tracking this Tuesday evening.
00:10As always, we'll focus on the big headlines coming in from the southern states.
00:15So here's what you can look forward to on the show.
00:17We'll be talking about the big internal survey conducted by the Tamirga Vetri Kargam, Vijay's party.
00:24Now we've accessed the data that's emerged from this internal survey that the parties conducted
00:28and they're predicting a huge mandate in favour of Vijay.
00:32So we'll ask the question, is this prediction delusional or is it actually possible?
00:37That's coming up on the show.
00:39But also, we're not keeping our focus away from the Kerala lynching case.
00:46The Pinaray Vijayan government has promised action.
00:48Remember, several people have already been taken into custody, but here's where it's turned political.
00:52The left government has claimed an RS's role, even some alleging that some of the accused here are linked to the BJP.
01:01We're going to be talking about that and the big political showdown over Kerala.
01:05I'm Akshita Ananda Gopal, here are the top 10 headlines.
01:07Leader of opposition Rahul Gandhi has kicked off a political storm in Berlin, alleging that elections in India are not fair.
01:16He also claims that agencies are being weaponised in the country.
01:19The BJP is hit back, calling him a leader of propaganda.
01:22Another day, it's another endorsement for Priyanka Gandhi Vajra.
01:31Congress MP Imran Masood now has endorsed Priyanka Gandhi for PM post over Rahul Gandhi and drawing an Indira parallel on Bangladesh.
01:39The BJP has hit out, saying that clearly there's no confidence in Rahul Gandhi.
01:43In Maharashtra, the Thakere brothers are all set to unite ahead of the BMC elections.
01:50The much-discussed alliance between the Thakere brothers and Maharashtra is likely to be announced at 12 noon tomorrow.
01:58Chorus for justice for Deepu Chandra Das grows.
02:01Hundreds of people gathered outside the Bangladesh High Commission in Delhi today to protest the lynching of the Hindu man in Bangladesh.
02:09Protesters raised slogans and held banners against the Bangladesh government.
02:13A Pakistan leader resorted to an open threat against India.
02:19This is a youth wing leader from Shehbar Sharif's party who's issued a threat to India,
02:23saying that in the event of any attack on Bangladesh, Pakistan's army and missiles would respond.
02:32Big legal relief for Kuldeep Singh Sangar.
02:34The Delhi High Court has suspended the jail term of the expelled BJP leader who's serving a life imprisonment, remember, in the Unao rape case.
02:43The High Court is also granted in bail.
02:47Even as the national capital grapples with severe air quality index, the pollution politics peaks.
02:53Delhi Lieutenant Governor V.K. Saxena has shot off a letter to Arvind Kejrawal, the former Delhi Chief Minister,
02:59alleging criminal inaction on his government's part and blaming ARP for the current air emergency in Delhi.
03:06BJP's Tamirnadu election in charge.
03:11Piyush Goyal met with AIADMK Chief EPS in Chennai ahead of the Tamirnadu battle next year.
03:16The union government has initiated seat-sharing talks, also says that a better future for Tamirnadu is NDA's commitment.
03:23Telugu actor Shivaji is facing backlash for his remarks on women's clothing at a film event in Hyderabad,
03:31where the actor had claimed that women who wear revealing clothes invite judgment and consequences.
03:39And pictures on your screens of Prime Minister Modi hosting Olympic champ Neeraj Chopra and his wife at his official residence in the national capital.
03:47Prime Minister Modi took to a social media handle to express his delight over the interaction with a double Olympic medalist and his wife.
04:01And let's begin with breaking news that's coming in of Piyush Goyal,
04:05who is currently the Tamirnadu election in charge for the BJP,
04:09making his first visit to Chennai after being given their important position.
04:13Now, Piyush Goyal has met with the Eda Party Paraniswamy.
04:16Those are the pictures on your screens from the meeting earlier today.
04:19Soon after which, there was also a brief media interaction in which the union minister expressed confidence
04:24that the NDA will come together to remove Stalin from power in 2026.
04:29Now, Piyush Goyal has also confirmed that there were seat-sharing talks that took place.
04:34And very clearly, the message that it is going to be the face of this election will be Modi and EPS for the NDA.
04:42I am indeed delighted to be in Chennai and meet my dear friend and brother at the party,
04:56we had very good meetings, we had very good discussions about strengthening our political work together,
05:10about fighting the 2026 assembly elections.
05:16In West Goyal,
05:45We bring in Anaga Keshav, who is joining us live from Chennai with more details on this.
05:57Anaga, obviously the fine print of the NDA alliance between the BJP and AIATMK, I'm sure was discussed in that meeting.
06:04But this is importantly the first visit by Piyush Gowal after he was declared as the election in charge for Tamil Nadu by the BJP.
06:11Take us through what your sources are telling you on the big takeaways of this meeting.
06:15Well, in fact, today a key meeting was held between Piyush Gowal and Edapadi Paraniswamy.
06:23We could see those visuals over there where a day-long talks were held between the two leaders, Piyush Gowal and Edapadi Paraniswamy.
06:31We were also being told that the two parties discussed at length about the kind of constituencies that they would want to travel.
06:37And one more important discussion that was on the table was Vijay.
06:41So certainly a strategy has been chalked out as to how to really take on Vijay.
06:45But on one hand, we have NDA leaders openly talking about giving an invitation to Vijay to join NDA.
06:52They are saying that Vijay can't do it alone in 2026 elections.
06:57But Vijay is very clear about not really joining NDA.
07:01So all these discussions were held in today's meeting as to how to really tackle Vijay, how to take down and dethrone DMK.
07:07So this was the main point of discussion in Piyush Gowal's meeting with Edapadi Paraniswamy.
07:13All right, Anaka, thanks very much for joining us with those updates.
07:16And speaking of Vijay, the TVK, the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections has claimed that according to its internal assessment,
07:25the party will get this, cross 30% in vote share in the upcoming 2026 Tamil Nadu Assembly elections.
07:33Now, the TVK speaking to India today has confirmed that in their survey, which has in fact about 40,000 people as the number of people who have been surveyed essentially,
07:45they claim that amid that it is very clear the TVK has a maximum support from the people of Tamil Nadu.
07:49But here's also what's interesting.
07:51In that particular survey, they've said that the DMK's vote percentage is also going to show that it's a direct fight between the DMK and TVK.
08:01This is what Vijay's party maintains will be ultimately the result in this election.
08:21So there is a survey report and the TVK is, that the DMK is a very strong guy, and the TVK is a very strong guy.
08:42so here's what the internal survey of the tvk looks like it had a sample size of over 41 000
09:06this survey plays the dmk as the favorite party so
09:10the tvk descents right now confessing that yes they're at number two according to them dmk is
09:15still number one with a 32.9 percent vote share followed by the tvk at 31.7 that's nearly 32
09:24so they're saying that they will easily cross the 30 mark then the aia dmk 27.3 the remaining
09:318.1 percent of respondents opted for other parties again i'll highlight that this is the tv case
09:37internal survey so what does that look like according to the tvk in seats their seat
09:43projection summary from the internal survey shows again the dmk on top but barely 104 seats the tvk
09:50at 74 seats and then the aia dmk with 56 seats there are several uh districts that have been identified
09:58by vijay's party as their strongholds according to them chennai which is usually a dmk stronghold will
10:03go their way they also are saying places like chengalpat dharmapuri madurai pudakota irani pet
10:09and then you have some other south districts as well uh tutukudi tenkasi they believe will all go
10:15in their way tirupur as well so those are some of the list of districts that we've put out for you
10:21let me open this up is this actually possible or is this delusional on the part of the tvk to talk about
10:27of 30 percent plus vote share joining us on this broadcast we've got my colleague prabhod madhu who
10:32accessed that internal survey we've also got with us dr sumansi ramon and dr sandeep shastri political
10:38analysts with us on this broadcast promote to you first what do you think of this survey
10:47well actually the one thing i can clearly say is that like this also is considered as a mood of the
10:51nation where we have they have conducted the survey based on age religion and gender and 41 000 plus
10:57voters have been brought over here and this particular survey just like you mentioned and
11:01just like nirmal kumar the leader of the party claims that 30 more than 30 percent of vote percentage
11:06tvk has however their own internal survey actually also says the dmk standards of voting percentage of
11:1132.9 percent which is almost two percent more than what tvk is currently and this seems to be the strength
11:17for tamarikavitchi karakam and this is what vijay is reiterating claiming that the actual contest is
11:22only between dmk and tvk so he's actually clearly setting up a narrative i will still say aiadmk is a
11:30sleeping giant unless aiadmk has the twin leaf symbol unless the symbol is alive that means mgr's image
11:38is still alive in the people's heart and that okay so underestimating iadmk but promote 30 plus
11:44vote share currently you know this internal survey is right now there's a lot of talk about what will
11:48happen in the upcoming months but right now as things stand you're on ground 30 percent plus
11:53vote share for vijay's party is that even possible well to to be honest he is able to bring the crowd
12:03but that crowd is just to see vijay cheer vijay but when it comes to voting there are a lot of factors
12:08when it comes to tamir nadu i will have to say caste plays a very important role demography plays a very
12:12important role that area plays a very intro role certainly vijay is very famous when it comes to
12:17urban areas what about the rural areas that is something you need to see so all these factors
12:22will have to play a very important role and only then this survey will reflect on the ground actually
12:26okay i'll bring in also sumansi raman and dr sandeep shastri on this broadcast dr sumansi raman what do you
12:32make of these numbers of the internal survey by the tvk i'm not surprised of course that they're showing
12:37themselves uh doing far better than many would say at this stage because this is at the end of the
12:42day look their internal survey but dmk number one tvk number two ai dmk number three do you think
12:47that this makes sense no i don't think it is uh very realistic for the simple reason that i don't
12:55think the tvk has the momentum to win they will certainly get a sizable vote share akshita make no
13:03mistake about that they are going to get 20 percent or even 23 24 percent of vote share it is possible
13:10does that mean that they will win the uh number of seats i don't think so second you're doing an
13:16internal survey when even the alliances have not been uh you know have not call it correct so who is
13:24aidmk here is it just aidmk plus bjp what if pmk joins them then that takes them to 32 percent pmk is
13:31around four and a half percent watch it so if you are doing a survey the idea is to find your own
13:40strength is fine and i don't know how on earth they've even extrapolated this into seats which is
13:46the most ridiculous thing with 30 percent it's extremely difficult to win a significant number of
13:52seats in uh in tamil nadu even assuming that the one more thing akshita people generally have a
14:00pattern of voting there is something called the bandwagon effect if there is a feeling that let's
14:07say the aia dmk bjp combined is better positioned to defeat the dmk some of the undecided voters who
14:15may have gone for vijay may go for them and vice versa if vijay is seen as the winning horse more
14:21voters may dump the aidmk bjp combined and come over to vijay so this whole argument that three
14:28groups will get 30 30 30 percent i mean it it doesn't make any sense at all it's never happened
14:34before in uh in tamil nadu yeah you see three groups each getting equivalent uh uh percentage of
14:40votes not as far as i can remember the point again is that these are surveys meant to boost
14:47the morale of the cadre no i agree which is why we're constantly adding that caveat that this is
14:52an internal survey but promote since you've gone through the fine print of that survey
14:56how does the tvk arrive at that number of 74 seats it's a big number and the biggest concern which i
15:02remember you raised when you were here in delhi too is about how they would be able to translate
15:07their vote share into seat share because that would mean that they have strong goals which they
15:10don't have right now though they've identified some well that is one particular reason why vijay is
15:19like very much uh carefully doing his campaigns and he's not taking any time of break when it comes
15:24to doing his campaigns week after week because he knows that as long as he steps in the ground and keeps
15:28showing his face there are high chances that he can actually convert his fan base into votes and this
15:33is where like after every kind of campaign does it looks like they are consecutively doing this survey
15:38just to fine analyze what is exactly happened over there we still have a big question mark as to how
15:42it's going to translate because we do agree with sumansi raman because on one side alliance plays a very
15:47important role on the ground how vjp admk is going to do so or such but what's happening currently is
15:52that on one side vijay indirectly at least is projecting himself as mgr and now vijay has started
15:58also claiming that he is not bothered about those who are not on the field he did not mention
16:03whether if it is ai admk or bjp but he definitely is negating a very big player that by only
16:09projecting that's going to be dmk and tvk that seems to be his only narrative and that is what he
16:15wants to feed his fans or cadres and push them further akshita no but also promote you know you
16:20look at the breakdown right now the tvk seems to be conceding that yes we have some ground to cover
16:24because the dmk is still number one whether it's vote share or seat share they seem to be expressing
16:29confidence that we've already gone past the ai admk you know this is easier said than done
16:35to some extent there will be questions about whether they are also underestimating the ai admk
16:41here you look at those numbers that they've given about 27.3 percent uh to the ai admk and again that
16:46question that sumansi raman asked have they also accounted for alliances
16:50akshita one thing we need to see very carefully for almost almost two months or so vijay is actually
16:59using mgr vijay is talking about mgr in a way vijay is actually using everything about mgr his legacy
17:05but so far ai admk has not majorly objected it so there seems to be an undercurrent in that particular
17:11issue and here what's happening is that he is only trying to actually tell the skaters that they are
17:15becoming number two and then soon they will become number one this itself they call it as a very big
17:20advancement because his party is not even two years old i mean years old and there are so many issues
17:25within they have don't have proper district secretaries they don't have proper booth committees
17:28and such before that itself they are getting this much amount of number and clearly on the ground when
17:33it comes to the youth he seems to be having a large following even imagine recently even dmk conducted
17:38his own youth wing meet and those kind of like repercussions are still happening so that seems to be
17:43the strength vijay is concentrating on it very clearly sees that way okay final response from
17:48dr sumansi raman right now if you look at the situation in tamir nadu i would concede that most
17:52people you speak to talk of tvk being definitely a factor vijay definitely being a factor and vote
17:57share being at about 15 so you look at it in the next few months if their campaign strategy goes the
18:02right way vijay continues these mega rallies speaks of the right issues this is a probability that maybe the
18:08vote share can reach you in a 30 but the seats really is the big question mark and how can tvk
18:14actually ensure to you dr sumansi raman that conversion of vote share into seed share that's
18:19the big question mark right now i i think one of the things that they will focus on is concentrate on
18:26a few key areas so i think that you had also put up a caption where it showed them particularly strong
18:32in areas like chengal pet or chennai and so on uh the this is bad news for the dmk because if you look
18:39at the areas i don't know if the caption can come up again where you had mentioned the areas where the
18:44party is particularly strong uh you know the madurai kudukotai rani pet um chennai for instance is a dmk
18:54stronghold um and you know some of these areas for instance is again a stronghold of the dmk combined
19:03kadalur is again a dmk area so tirpatur so the prop tirwaru is in the heart of the kaveri delta
19:11base which is a dmk stronghold so if they've identified these areas as where they are getting
19:17sizable vote then it's going to be a real problem for the dmk to counter that but one important thing
19:24if they spread themselves too thin look akshita it's not just about booth workers it's about money
19:31you need elections need a lot of money nobody today has more money than the bjp and the dmk
19:39nobody in india they're probably the two richest parties in the country so it's not so simple to
19:45say that you know we did a survey of 40 000 people and uh we got 31 percent vote converting 31
19:53um i'm not saying 31 i'm saying converting even 3.7 percent vote will be a huge challenge getting
20:01the people out to the booth ensuring that the booth agents are in are available to motivate the
20:06cadre uh you know a whole lot of things remain to be done and i think vijay is being a little
20:13optimistic yes he does have momentum he has made a impact there is no doubt about it yeah but my gut
20:19field is probably closer to 20 20 percent or thereabouts all right let's see how it plays out
20:25this is uh an extremely confident tvk or maybe an attempt to boost the morale of their cadre saying
20:32that we will get a 30 percent plus motion over 70 seats very very ambitious target that they're
20:37setting for themselves dr sumansi raman thank you very much for joining us from both as always thanks
20:41now things are getting quite heated in tamirnado the dmk aia dmk engaged in a video war and they're
20:50resorting to using ai we've seen this becoming the trend now with political parties two videos the dmk
20:56releasing an ai video mocking eps showing him as a slave of prime minister modi of sashikala the
21:03aia dmk then responded releasing its own ai version featuring chief minister stalin udaini
21:09kamal hassan and other tn ministers calling them slaves of the gandhi's take a look at these two videos
21:15judge for yourself which is better

22:59Kerala. Again, a state that's going into elections in April.
23:03Horrifying incident that came to light that we reported here on India Today in the last 24 hours
23:08of a migrant labourer from Chhattisgarh being lynched in Kerala's Palakad
23:13because locals, the people who killed him, mistook him to be a Bangladeshi.
23:18But it's triggered a fierce political blame game. Why?
23:21Because the Pinarai Vijayan government is claiming that the RSS, the right wing, is responsible for this lynching.
23:29A migrant labourer from Chhattisgarh brutally beaten to death in Kerala's Palakad.
23:39In chilling visuals, a mob questioned his identity and moments later, the labourer, identified as Ram Narayan, was lynched.
23:46As the disturbing visual spread, outrage followed and so did politics.
23:53The left government alleges ideological hatred behind the crime, claiming RSS-linked individuals were involved.
23:59The CPIM claims that out of the five arrested people, four are Sankh activists.
24:04The BJP hid back, accusing the CPIM of shifting blame, saying law and order lies squarely with the state government.
24:33This incident has a CPM party worker, many CPM workers as involved in that.
24:42The FIR will bring the details of that.
24:47The video details will bring out the facts about that.
24:52As well as the former Gram Panchayat member who belongs to the Congress.
24:59She was also involved in this incident.
25:01The BJP has also demanded strict action against the lynch mob.
25:05It is a lot of women.
25:06The Moon is the first time they have given up and asked us,
25:07The first time they have been arrested.
25:08The other people have been arrested for being arrested and arrested.
25:13The BJP has been arrested.
25:14The regained to the criminal estate.
25:15All members of the BJP killed in the CPIM.
25:16The legal court is a criminal justice, all the women who have given up and do this.
25:18The Congress also joined the attack, accusing the Pinarayavijan government of failing to rein in hate politics
25:44and warning that mob rule is taking root in Kerala.
25:49Meanwhile, after talks with authorities on Monday, Ram Narayan's family received his mortal remains with most of the demands accepted.
25:56A migrant worker came to Kerala to earn a living and never returned home.
26:01As politics escalates, justice for the victim remains the real test.
26:07With Shibhimol KG in Thiruvananthpuram, Bureau Report, India Today.
26:18And finally, we're seeing a crackdown against the accused involved in the Kerala lynching.
26:24Remember, five people have been taken into custody.
26:27But the Kerala police has now made it clear that the stringent SCST law will be slapped against the accused.
26:34This is one of the demands that was put forth by the lynched victim's family.
26:39Seeking justice, they refused to accept the mortal remains for hours, saying, go ahead and slap the SCST law.
26:45The Kerala top cop, the DGP, has now confirmed that, yes, the SCST law has been used against the accused
26:52and has also confirmed that all of the others involved in this crime.
26:56Because, mind you, while five people have been arrested, what's very clear is that in this mob lynching, many more were involved.
27:02The Kerala DGP has confirmed that they've all been traced, will be arrested very soon.
27:08We've identified the accused of persons, we are taking action there, we have arrested a person there
27:13and others are also, those others who have been identified, will be arrested soon.
27:17The SIT is invested in the case very efficiently and under the direct supervision of the Hannibal Iquit of Kerala.
27:23Okay, I'll bring in Shibhimol for more details.
27:25So, on the story, Shibhi, finally, we're seeing the much-needed crackdown by the authorities against the accused.
27:32Take us through the latest updates in the investigation and also the politics that's playing out, Shibhi.
27:36I think one of the questions that's constantly being asked is, of the accused who've been arrested so far,
27:41do any of them have links to the BGP or the RSS?
27:48Well, Akshida, the mortal remains of Ram Naren was received by the family members today early morning
27:54and that was also because most of the demands were met by the government.
27:57The government held meeting with the family and all those demands have been accepted as what we're understanding
28:02and that's why the SCST Act has now been charged as what the Kerala DGP has confirmed
28:06and all of them will be charged under these very stringent sections.
28:10And based on the investigation in the coming days, most sections will also be initiated as invoked as what the DGP has confirmed.
28:17And also, in terms of the investigation, five arrests have been recorded.
28:22That was the first arrest record right after he passed away.
28:26And what the DGP is saying is that there are many people who have been identified
28:30and based on the investigation, more arrests will be recorded.
28:34Now, tomorrow, there's a cabinet meeting and in that cabinet meeting,
28:37the compensation amount is also likely to be discussed by the cabinet
28:41and a decision will also be taken and that is what we're understanding.
28:44In terms of politics, it's a war of words that's been exchanged between the CPM and the BJP
28:48with the CPM alleging that these workers, the accused in the case, belong to RSS and the BJP.
28:54The popular RSS workers locally is what the CPM has alleged.
28:57The BJP has dismissed it saying that it's a mob attack and it should be treated in that way.
29:02What the BJP is saying is that it should not be treated as a political attack.
29:07If there are BJP workers involved, if there are RSS workers involved, then they should be punished.
29:11We're not going to safeguard anybody because if somebody can commit this,
29:15they're purely criminals is what the BJP, a strong worded statement coming in from the BJP.
29:19They're saying that if there are BJP workers involved, then we're not going to protect.
29:23They are criminals and that they should be punished.
29:25The police, however, has not said anything regarding the political background,
29:28saying that it's a mob attack and it will be treated like that,
29:31is what the DGP as well as the investigative team has said.
29:34Alright, Shibi, thanks for rounding up those updates for us.
29:39Let's get you the other big stories coming in from the southern states.
29:42Drama played out today outside the TVK office in the outskirts of Chennai
29:49as discontent TVK carder from Tutukudi attempted to stop TVK chief Vijay's card.
29:54A party functionary, a woman and her supporters attempted to stop the card
29:59over an internal tussle leading to chaos outside the party office.
30:03BJP's Tamirisai Sandir Rajan has said Vijay joining the NDA would only be an add-on.
30:15The former Telangana governor, current BJP leader in Tamil Nadu also said that
30:18if Vijay's main aim is to root out DMK, he should form an alliance to avoid a divide in votes.
30:23In Kerala, after the massive victory in the local body polls,
30:29the Congress-led UDF has kick-started preps for the Assembly polls.
30:32The UDF has decided to hold a statewide yatra from Kasar Gord to Tiruvannantapuram.
30:40The BJP has written a memorandum to the Bengaluru District Commissioner
30:44against the Karnataka Hate Speech and Hate Crimes Prevention Bill.
30:47The memorandum urges that the bill should not be enacted,
30:50saying it's a violation of freedom of speech and expression.
30:53Telugu actor Shivaji is facing flack over his comment,
30:59asking women to dress modestly.
31:01In his sexist remark, the actor said that heroines shouldn't wear revealing outfits
31:05and instead wear sarees or dresses that cover the body.
31:15Let's get you a ground report from Telangana's Nalgonda District,
31:18where parents are now forced to switch from government schools
31:22to private schools for their children.
31:24Government schools, therefore, are left empty.
31:26Some of them shut for years.
31:28And again, it reflects what in several parts of the India
31:31is constantly talked about.
31:33A lack of trust in public education,
31:35simply because there's no money, investment,
31:38no attempt to pool in resources in these government schools.
31:50Silent classrooms.
31:54Locked doors.
31:59Dust on benches.
32:00In Telangana's Nalgonda Mandel, government schools exist.
32:06But students don't.
32:09Five out of 99 government schools in this mandel have recorded zero enrollment.
32:14Textbooks, uniforms, and other incentives.
32:20So many intensives are provided from government, sir.
32:24Zero enrollment school reasons, sir.
32:27Some people migrated and some habitations having only old people is there in Nalgonda.
32:35And other, some people feel social status
32:40and they have sent to their children to private schools, sir.
32:45The government school in the Bomapalli village
32:48has remained closed for the past two years
32:50due to zero student enrollment,
32:54despite the presence of teaching staff.
32:56Another parent explained that work schedules
33:25play a major role in the decision.
33:29With three private school buses operating in the village,
33:33access is no longer seen as a barrier.
33:36Convenience over cost, perception over promise.
33:59You have a government school in your village?
34:03Yes.
34:04Why don't you go to government school?
34:06I thought my educational problem,
34:10my parents thought it not,
34:12the education is not perfect in...
34:14In government school?
34:16Yes.
34:16In government school, the studies are not perfect
34:19and teachers are also not teaching well.
34:23Education officials insist facilities have improved
34:28and many schools are doing well.
34:31But Bomapalli exposes a painful contradiction.
34:36Teachers without students,
34:38schools without children,
34:40and public education losing trust.
34:43This is the troubling reality unfolding
34:47in parts of Telangana's Nalgonda.
34:50From closed government classroom doors
34:53to falling enrollment numbers,
34:55this is not just the statistics on paper,
34:57but is a harsh reality on ground.
35:00What are the factors that are affecting?
35:02Is it migration?
35:03Is it quality of education?
35:05Or is it that infrastructure is impacting students' minds?
35:10Now, the government has to take these corrective measures
35:14to control this particular falling of education,
35:18of public education numbers in Telangana state.
35:22With camera person Junaid, Abdul Bashir, Nalgonda.
35:31The Vijay Hazare match,
35:33which was to feature Virat Kohli in Bengaluru,
35:36has been called off at the Chinnaswami Stadium.
35:38This is in the aftermath of the stampede
35:40that had taken place earlier this year, remember,
35:42outside that very stadium,
35:43after which a compliance report
35:45sought for certain crowd control measures
35:48to be put in place that wasn't completed,
35:51which is why no permission has been granted
35:52for this match to take place
35:53at the Chinnaswami Stadium.
35:56The crowd control measures are yet to be fulfilled.
35:58The match now will be shifted out,
36:00will be held at the BCCI Centre of Excellence.
36:03Now, the Karnataka Chief Minister
36:04has also spoken out on this,
36:06the fact that the Chinnaswami Stadium
36:07and crowds will miss out on bigger part of this match
36:10and witnessing Kohli in action.
36:13Chief Minister Sidra Maya has confirmed
36:15that a committee will look into this particular issue
36:18and look into what needs to be done
36:19to ensure that Chinnaswami Stadium
36:21is ready for massive crowds
36:23after what had happened post the RCB stampede.
36:26There is a committee is constituted
36:30There is a committee constituted by the O Minister
36:34There is a committee constituted by the O Minister
36:35There is a commission
36:53for the TV.
37:23He's met the BCCI and the Karnataka government also to get permission to have Vijaya Azhar at Trophy
37:28and as well as in March the IPL.
37:30So the government also constituted a committee to see if the stadium has complied with all the
37:35recommendations given by Justice Kuna committee after the RCB stamp issued.
37:39The committee felt that the stadium is still not ready to host matches because the complaint recommendation
37:44has not been complied with and hence the committee has recommended to the government not to give
37:49permission to any such matches as of now in Chinaswami Stadium. That's when the CM spoke to the media
37:54saying that the moment when the recommendations are done or put in place that is the time when
37:59we will have matches in Chinaswami and the Home Ministry is looking into the issue in detail is
38:04what the CM said. Thanks Naga for those details. Let's cut across to more breaking news coming in.
38:09And the Kerala draft voter list is out after the SIR exercise. Over 24 lakh voters have been removed
38:25from the Kerala voter rolls. Remember this is the draft voter roll that's out after the SIR has been
38:32released by the Election Commission. The objection window is still very much open so voters can go ahead
38:37and appeal till January 22nd but in all what we can confirm for you is that 24 lakh voters have been
38:44removed from the voter rolls in Kerala. Now they've been removed because some of the names are of those
38:50who are deceased. In some cases it's of people who've shifted out of their constituency. So many of
38:56those people can also appeal based on what details additionally they can give proof of address etc to the
39:02Election Commission. Shibhimul is joining us with more details on this. Shibhimul, run us through the data.
39:07What did the voter roll the numbers look like before SIR and now?
39:17Shibhimul, can you hear me?
39:20Well Akshida, the draft list has been published by the Election Commission. Now 24 lakh voters have been
39:27excluded from the draft SIR and it's open from today onwards till Jan 22nd for the objections and claims to be
39:36filed is what the Election Commission is saying. Out of these 24 lakh, around 1 lakh people are absent.
39:42Absent means they have been untraceable. Around more than 2 lakh people have shifted is what the
39:49Election Commission has said. And around 8 lakh people have died. This is the data that the Election
39:55Commission has now published officially. In fact, around 1000 officials will be deployed for claims and
40:02objections for the next 1-1 period. That is till 22nd. If any eligible voter is missing from the list,
40:08they can apply through Form 6 and overseas voters can apply through Form 6. So this is the method for
40:15anybody whose name is eligible voter whose name is not there in the list, they apply in the next 1-1 to
40:20the Election Commission. Around 24 lakh voters have been excluded. Kerala government has requested to extend
40:25this process one more time. But the Election Commission has made it clear that, you know,
40:30twice it was extended in Kerala. So no more extensions will be done, will be given to Kerala. But as of
40:37now, 24 lakh voters, more than 24 lakh voters have been excluded from the list. If anybody is eligible,
40:43they can apply in the next 1-1 to the Election Commission. All right. Thanks very much,
40:46Shabir, for joining us with those details. Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi has reiterated his
40:50vote-show-ray attack, but this time on foreign soil. Rahul Gandhi, while speaking at an event in
40:55Germany's Berlin, alleged that polls in India are not fair. This has triggered a fierce attack by the
41:02BJP, particularly questioning why Rahul Gandhi has chosen to speak out abroad on foreign soil. Rahul Gandhi
41:10said essentially that Congress had won elections in Telangana, Himachar Pradesh and Haryana, and that the
41:15Maharashtra elections were unfair, and that overall elections in India remain unfair. The BJP now,
41:23led by J.P. Nanda, accused Rahul of going on a foreign tour first during a key parliament session,
41:28questioning therefore his priorities, and then also said that from Leader of Opposition, he must be
41:33called Leader of Propaganda. Here are those reactions. First, listen to what Rahul Gandhi said.
41:39We've won election in Telangana. We've won election in Himachar Pradesh. We've been
41:46raising issues as far as the fairness of elections in India is concerned. I've done
41:53press conferences where we have clearly shown, without shadow of a doubt, that we won the Haryana
41:59election, that we actually don't feel that the Maharashtra election was fair. There is a full-scale
42:08assault taking place on the institutional framework of our country. We asked direct questions to the
42:15election commission. I mean, I don't know if you've seen that press conference. Brazilian woman is
42:20voting in Haryana. I mean, is on the voting list 22 times in Haryana. One woman is voting 200 times in
42:28one polling booth. And when we are asking these questions to the election commission, we're not
42:33getting a response. So that's one aspect of it, that we fundamentally believe that there is a problem
42:40with the electoral machinery in India. We cannot, there is a number of people in India who support Mr.
42:51Modi. And we cannot, we cannot get away from that fact. But we do not, a lot of us do not agree with
42:59his ideology. We do not agree with the vision of India that he has. We think that the vision will
43:07fail. We think that the vision has tremendous problems, will create massive tension in India,
43:14will make Indian people fight with each other. So we will fight it, right? And, and it's a clash
43:22between two visions of India.

44:25tries to tarnish the image of india abroad but rahul gandhi will not succeed in the past 11 years

44:40in the global world order why are all anti-india india haters seem to be allies with rahul gandhi
44:47the congress party has always dodged and ducked their association with george soros people want
44:54an answer from the congress party now for a decade now rahul gandhi has been pitched as their prime

45:19priyanka gandhi vajra's hat in the ring when asked a question regarding priyanka's comments on atrocities
