00:00Seven days ago, 50 strangers arrived in Canada during the first leg of Fantasy RV Tour's Maritime Tour.
00:10And now, a quarter of the way into their month-long pilgrimage across four Atlantic provinces,
00:17these RVers have gone from timid travelers just towing the line,
00:21to a roving tribe of compatible adventurers and fellow food lovers
00:26riding the Atlantic breeze together toward their next East Coast encounter.
00:42First-time visitors, Aaron and Chris, have now been properly seasoned by the region's signature salty mist,
00:48nearly swallowed up by its living tides,
00:51and have come to accept that lobster can easily be had here for just about every meal.
00:58They've witnessed loads of surprises so far,
01:01and rather than risk missing out on any of these highlights,
01:04the couple made sure to make the most out of every marine-themed mile
01:09by embracing Fantasy's expertise along these coastal shores.
01:21bass solo
01:49We'll have up to 50 different guests, and all 50 of those people are all going to have
02:02a different experience on the tour.
02:05So that's part of what we do is making sure that everybody is included, everybody's having
02:12a good time.
02:13For some, it's super easy because they're going to jump in and they want to be the star
02:16and have everybody flock to them.
02:19Others, they're a little bit more timid, a little bit more shy, and it takes more to open
02:23them up.
02:25But they do, and by the end, everybody is at their comfort level with everybody else.
02:30A lot of people, you can really watch guests really blossom along the tour.
02:36Yeah, that's what I really love to see is how everybody is a stranger, and by the end,
02:43they've all come together and they're exchanging phone numbers and emails and addresses, and
02:50that so that they can get together again in the future.
02:55Beginning with the forgotten corners of New Brunswick, the tour started off soft-spoken and
03:00soaked in history.
03:03The roads were quiet, the forests deep, and the occasional ghost story added to its mysterious
03:09setting.
03:10Now, as RVs roll across an invisible border into Nova Scotia, leaving fog-draped mornings
03:16in the rear view, the mist burns off to reveal a province that simply can't hide in the shadows.
03:22With over 8,000 miles of coastline, this sea-bound peninsula doesn't just whisper its secrets.
03:39It sings them aloud, turning the energy way up as it leans a little further into the sea.
03:47Immediately, the journey shifts from introspective to electric, with towns that display their
03:53history like vibrant tattoos full of pigment and pride, a waterfront that dances with
03:59tall ships, and the scenic road that suddenly hums to a different kind of tune.
04:04It's clear, we came here to celebrate!
04:10The RVers is made possible by Jackery Solar Generator, your green power solution.
04:31Your dream RV trip awaits!
04:33Call Fantasy RV Tours today!
04:35The RVers is made possible by…
04:37Now you see it!
04:39Now you don't!
04:41Segway!
04:53With fantasy-branded rigs all situated at their latest oceanfront campground, the festivities
04:59begin just steps away from the sparkling Bay of Fundy, whose tides now feed a different kind
05:06shoreline.
05:07Here, the coast is a shaky scribble of tightly notched harbors and bays, in which every sunset
05:14is a private screening.
05:16It's no wonder this haven is home to what's said to be the most fought-over piece of land
05:21in all of North America.
05:24From indigenous roots to French settlers and English invaders, the tour arranges an opportunity
05:31to travel back four centuries at several historic sites, including the Citadel, where kilted
05:37Highlanders patrol the grounds like it's still the 1860s.
05:46Fort Royal, a full-scale reconstruction of a 17th-century colony, and Fort Anne, a sturdy
05:53stronghold maintained to showcase military architecture and recount the cultural significance of ancient
06:00battles that took place over this prime land.
06:06Time unravels, passing through timbered rooms and storehouses where the smell of gunpowder
06:11still lingers to ignite the imagination.
06:15Rolling green earthworks display cannons like old soldiers still guarding the now peaceful
06:21waterfront.
06:22And the sea air pairs well with freshly baked strudel and crusty sourdough from a nearby local
06:29bakery.
06:33Following this stroll through history, it's a short drive from calm colonial ruins to a buzzing
06:39bohemian harbor as the tour sails south, bringing guests face-to-face with the soul of this province.
06:46A time capsule of candy-colored heritage homes collide with a modern-day fishing community that has shipbuilding
06:54excellence ingrained into every wooden vessel.
06:57In particular, the iconic Blue Nose, a timeless legend detailed at the Fisheries Museum located
07:04just a bit further along the wharf.
07:08So on a fantasy tour, we build in free time at every location.
07:16And I think that's important because at the end of the day, this is your vacation.
07:23And we want you to do what you want to do on your vacation.
07:26Of course, we're going to have planned events and activities.
07:29Everybody needs some time to rest.
07:31Go out and maybe spend a few more hours at a location we were at.
07:37Once we have gotten you an admission somewhere, typically that admission is good for the rest
07:41of the day and often the very next day, too.
07:44So when you have free time, you can go back and enjoy yourselves even more.
07:50Craig and Lucinda are the perfect example of independent travelers who take full advantage
07:57of fantasy's flexible approach, welcoming structure when it's wanted and spontaneity when the spirit
08:03of adventure strikes.
08:05The independence is probably one of the most important aspects to me.
08:11So being able to go off and find the landscapes or landmarks or other people on my own or on
08:19our own, we find that to be probably one of the most enjoyable aspects because they give
08:26you days where you can spend the whole day doing it.
08:29Or if you just need to recharge, that day can be used for the two of you doing whatever
08:36you want, whether it be laundry or going out and eating at restaurants you want.
08:41They don't tell you where to go eat or what to do.
08:43They give you a list of some of the locals or you can experience them on your own.
08:47Just stop in.
08:49And I would say that we've always seen the best parts of these communities by doing it
08:54this way versus flying over them and getting with another large group of people that you
09:02never really get to know.
09:04While the fantasy itinerary fills its days full to the brim with local flavors and behind
09:09the scene gems, the finest beauty can be found in the freedom.
09:14These suggestions are optional and give RVers the choice to chase their curiosity by circling
09:20back to a special lobster shack, browsing a nearby farmer's market, or returning to that
09:26one lighthouse that's on every maritime traveler's map of must-sees.
09:31What I remember was going back to Peggy's Cove.
09:35The weather was terrible.
09:36It was fogged in when we went with a tour group.
09:39But we went back on our own to Peggy's Cove.
09:42And at sunset or near sunset, and the crowd was basically gone.
09:49It was all beautiful pictures and just memories that you burned into your brain because you
09:56did it on your own and didn't give up on it.
10:03The RVers is made possible by RV and Go.
10:06Where will you go?
10:11Escapee's RV Club, a support network for all RVers.
10:15The RVers is made possible by and Master Applied Coatings.
10:31After a series of weathered waterfront harbors, the city of Halifax makes a big impact.
10:37And while it's actually Nova Scotia's smallest region, the capital is a vibrant mix of culture,
10:44landmarks, and numerous attractions where one minute you might be exploring interactive
10:48exhibits and the next, your elbows deep in fried headache.
10:57So rather than winging it along these busy narrow streets, the fantasy crew swaps their
11:02RV keys for a bus tour to fully navigate the city's complicated charm.
11:11The tour bus that we're on is really fun.
11:14It's something we've never done before.
11:17And it's cool to just be on a massive bus with these great big windows.
11:22You can see everything outside from the comfortability of inside.
11:27And best yet is I don't have to drive.
11:30So that's great.
11:31Our tour guide is sharing things that we would never ever know or look up just regarding
11:37the history of the city, fun facts about the city, people coming to visit, some things about
11:43the architecture of the homes.
11:45There's some really impressive hotels that we've seen.
11:48And it's something that, like I said, we've never done, but so far I'm really enjoying it.
11:55From a hilltop fortress to quiet rows of gravestones, along with museums where stories
12:01of heroism are bottled in glass cases and suspended holes.
12:06Guests absorb the sights while taking the opportunity to make mental notes of stops to revisit.
12:13As each outing complements the next, an effortless flow between experiences may seem natural.
12:20But it's deliberately designed by the team's skillful balance of information with entertainment.
12:26All bundled into an immersive, one-of-a-kind backstage pass.
12:31So we've done a few excursions that we've had that are exclusive to fantasy RV tours.
12:41We get behind-the-scenes tours in a lot of the museums.
12:46I was going to mention the Atlantic Fisheries Museum there and the Maritime Museum.
12:52Those are both behind-the-seed and guided tours that you're not going to get if you go there on your own.
12:57It's all in the package.
12:59While this area is made for wandering boardwalks and beaches, maritime weather is something
13:13of a wild card, flip-flopping between soaking up sunshine and sprinting for cover.
13:18Luckily, when a rogue rainstorm sabotages any sightseeing for the day, fantasy flips the script
13:26by cranking up the competition with a spirited tournament of card games and root beer floats
13:31to fuel the fun.
13:33A couple here.
13:34Thank you so much.
13:35Root beer.
13:36Root beer.
13:37Root beer.
13:38The number four of spades.
13:41Four of spades.
13:43Two.
13:44One, two, or three.
13:53Number three.
13:54Wow.
13:55How about that?
13:56Twice in a row.
13:57What can I say?
13:58Wow.
13:59Awesome.
14:00That's some love there.
14:02You're welcome.
14:03The wagon masters have been excellent on this trip, no doubt about it, and the tail gunners
14:07as well.
14:08They're very personable and friendly.
14:11I believe it's an anniversary today.
14:14Tomorrow!
14:15This is tomorrow when we're all together today.
14:17So one, two, three.
14:26Happy anniversary to you.
14:27Happy anniversary to you.
14:36The excitement that they show is unbelievable because they've done this many, many times,
14:46and you would think it would be boring, but it's not to them.
14:49Just your friendly neighborhood bartender.
14:58The RVers is made possible by...
15:00RV and Go. Where will you go?
15:02Your dream RV trip awaits. Call Fantasy RV Tours today.
15:10The RVers is made possible by...
15:13Now you see it.
15:16Now you don't.
15:18The Aviators, the world's biggest aviation series.
15:26So as a wagon master, you're responsible for the overall tour,
15:30but you're really, really a wagon master's job is to coordinate with all of their guests
15:38and make sure all the guests have a great time.
15:40You know, of course, there's planning and coordinating that's going on behind the scenes,
15:44but you were there just as a leader to bring everybody together.
15:49What's really amazing is when we do tours and we have repeat guests that have been on a tour with us before,
15:57and, yeah, we just love it.
16:10Certainly there's freedom in the open road,
16:12but there's also comfort in knowing that you have all of the support when it's needed
16:17and none of the stress about getting lost or booking a suspicious place to spend the night.
16:23Leave it to a trustworthy team to reserve the sweetest spots
16:27and scout out all of the routes to determine which RV parks are magic
16:31and which detours are dead ends.
16:33As these phenomenal forces at work spend significant time getting to know each location
16:40in order to make a place we've never been before feel both familiar and brand new at the same time.
16:53I've had a lot of guests tell me that they really appreciate the fact
16:59that they're traveling in a group, RVers always tend to be friendly,
17:04but when you're on a fantasy tour and we're helping to facilitate that bonding,
17:10one of the things that people have said is it's nice.
17:13So if somebody needs an extra extension of hose to dump
17:19or a cord to plug into electricity or whatever,
17:24then they know that somebody in the group is willing to help with that.
17:29They like being able to travel together.
17:33So we are in the lead.
17:35So if there's a new road hazard that we haven't already briefed,
17:39then we can relay that back to the group so they're expecting it and can avoid it.
17:44And then the tail gunner is leaving last
17:48and ensuring that everybody makes it safely to the next campground.
17:54If something happens on our journey from campground to campground,
18:00because life happens and sometimes things break,
18:04they're going to come up behind you and they're going to help you
18:07find the solution to get you back on the road again.
18:11And it's in a critical role on a fantasy tour.
18:16That's mainly the reason I think we decided to do that.
18:20And I'm glad we did it because we traveled a lot on our own.
18:24But going out of the country, so to speak, you know, through Canada and all,
18:29we felt like we'd be better to go in a group.
18:31We felt safer about it, you know.
18:33And you feel very safe in these campgrounds that fantasy chooses.
18:40And they try to make them the best that there are in the area.
18:44Very well organized and an easy, convenient way to have a wonderful trip without having to worry about
18:53very much.
18:53I mean, you could have a situation where something might go wrong, but you're with a bunch of people
18:59that usually you can find a way to bush fix it and get going, you know.
19:04And that's the nice thing about being in a team environment.
19:07You've got all types of talents of different people.
19:12By now, the talents on this trip have established a solid rhythm as a group
19:17that keeps the good times on tap and encourages everyone to share in each other's enthusiasm.
19:24Having spent a week exploring what felt like the edge of the world,
19:28these companions have found themselves captivated by colors and cobblestone charm
19:33strolling through this living museum.
19:36Nevertheless, the road continues to call from across the waves.
19:41Next, maritime RVers board a ferry that pulls them along the Atlantic,
19:46leaving behind the vivid dream of painted towns melting into the horizon.
19:51And for good reason, Newfoundland is wide awake and waiting.
19:58for great reason, Newfoundland is a large-scale
20:02boat traveling by the railroad.
20:03The first trip, the island of came from the watershed
20:05that goes to the lake and the Ihara.
20:07And at that time, that was very large-scale boat in the desert,
20:09where they came from from across the lake and the lake.
20:10In the alimble, the boat is always a huge boat.
20:12So he's got rid of their boat.
20:15And there's a large boat, who's got rid of their boat.
20:16And by that time, the boat is always a horizontal boat with the boat.
20:19And they're all in one of my arms!
20:20That's all in the boat.
20:21So he's got rid of them!
20:22Well, you know this is the boat's Mariana.
20:24There's a small boat.
