00:00a lot of the smaller brewers around the country
00:29you probably saw as well some of them get in there and like it that you have to have stamina to make
00:35beer you have to have stamina you have to have a sense of because you're going up and down those
00:38ladders you're doing that you're feeding you know even if you have an assistant brewer so it's
00:43that's i also make that sports uh comparative but it's also competitive like filmmaking you know and
00:49you know be very honest you can go in and pitch to so many places you can go through your agents but
00:53the thing is going to something like a film festival bring something like this to something
00:57like dances with films is important because you can see that instant reaction versus people
01:03watching in their home can you talk about the importance of showing something like this at
01:08different film festivals dances with films is obviously what we're talking about but can you
01:11talk about that interrelation and that importance for you guys yeah yeah i think it's from go ahead
01:19sorry sergio well i was just going to compliment sergio i was going to say uh sergio is an incredibly
01:27talented director and when you're able to see that on the big screen especially in a place like the
01:33chinese theater you're able to see the incredible cinematography that uh our cinematographer joel
01:39frume put together and the incredible score uh from greg johnson you're able to see that
01:46all kind of immersive experience in the theater um you know we hope that that's you're able to really
01:53uh feel you know what this show is all about um and the quality that that we're able to make it with
02:03uh so it's really important and this is the start of a journey uh this is a pilot episode so getting to
02:10show it in front of people in these theaters uh in the search of finding a home so that we can
02:15continue to build out this series like sergio was saying you know out to san diego portland
02:21montana ashville north carolina boston all of these cities that we have earmarked uh this is part of
02:28that process so uh it's exciting it's important and we're we're really excited to show it at the chinese theater
02:34i had like a one-year-old son and no job couldn't get unemployment didn't know what the hell to do
02:40my brother-in-law started to get really into beer then he was home brewing i was like i want to be a
02:45brewer from a very early age we are instilled with this idea of the american dream we hear all of
02:54these stories of we're going to rise above whatever our circumstances are and try to achieve greatness
03:01craft beer has done that the modern craft movement is absolute chaos to me you know cinema belongs in
03:10the cinema and you know that experience is always different look and it's nice to have home theater
03:14and those kinds of things and you know if you're watching on your airpods but there's nothing like
03:18sitting back with a box of popcorn and you know and but also the the thing that also goes unspoken
03:24about to me was the sound design by jason mcdaniel and in in a surround sound theater that's where
03:29you're feeling it and you take it you know he did his job when nobody's talking about it because you
03:33take it for granted and it's all there and all those little things make the whole experience and
03:38even i think the reaction because after the screenings you know in in the big theaters in
03:42small where we've screened they come right up to you and they say oh my god and i think that was what
03:47was took me aback and i said i think you know i think we're you know um it's it because there's so
03:52many ways look we can we can watch things on our phones and again we're everywhere but i think this
03:55the theater was an important experience for us as filmmakers to to find that response and feel
04:00we're on the right track because there are so many different ways to experience our shows
04:04and our movies um but again i think it was but again it's that's to me the theater is where
04:09where it's gonna people came up to me one of them said you know i was in tears you know that and i was
04:15like i was like oh my god there is a bunch of pioneers who got together to say we can be better
04:21than the generation before us and the generation before that you see all of their passions on
04:27display you see their frustrations too it is 10 000 breweries all vying for the same small piece
04:35of the craft beer market
04:36beer is magic elixir that is responsible for human civilization
04:46there's a certain push that i have to do the things that people tell me not to do
04:53we try to bring craft beer and music and art together do you have to come at something like
05:02this with a different mind do you have to think about it differently um i i think it helps that we
05:08have a wealth of of experience and various backgrounds to kind of you know because well i think if we were
05:15only coming from one space that's the only thing we see but even when we talk about not just the
05:20story and the episodic self or the series we're looking at the marketing because that's where we
05:24come from so to me and i think the you know i think when any just you know if we're talking about
05:28distributors or sponsors for that matter that full experience is is part of the entire narrative what
05:33can we do how can we drive it home to an audience even beyond the episodics because now everything lives
05:38the social media is well in addition nobody wants to be advertised to they want to be told smaller
05:42stories and i think for us that comes full circle and i think we got that from sports and then and
05:48then and also just network television and advertising so i i think it i don't think it hurt us
05:53um i think no no i just want to ask that question because it's it's wonderfully said what you just said
05:58that's what i was actually looking for i think in today's age like we're in a current time where
06:03the distribution model is evolving and changing rapidly um and it is incorporating you know all
06:13these different uh aspects of the industry brands marketing it's all it's all part of uh bringing a
06:21show to life um so you know with us having uh you know different levels of experiences or different uh
06:31we come from different angles of experiences uh we're able to apply that from the the development
06:37from the ground floor all the way up through the to the distribution so uh yeah yeah it's it's it
06:44certainly has helped us throughout this process success really demands everything
06:49every time i have one of jesse's beers i'm happy
06:54owning inner brew the highs and lows are unbelievable
07:00i just always wanted to put a stake in ground for new york
07:03beer has woven this tapestry of what's happening in san diego is happening in milwaukee is happening
07:09in miami is happening in nashville it's exciting
07:13craft beer is a story of america
