00:00My only option is I need to go on the front porch and scream bloody murder and hope someone hears
00:04me or I'm going to. The reasoning for the attack to this day is completely unknown. The best answer
00:11that the sheriff would have given us was that the dogs attacked me because they could smell I was
00:15pregnant. It was our black Doberman, Stormy. Our red Doberman, Sugar. It was our German Shepherd,
00:22Nitro. And it was our mini Aussie, Chanel. With months of painful recovery and her unborn child
00:27to consider, they had to make a call that would save their family. When I got home, the plan was
00:32to let the dogs out for about five minutes and then go take a nap. So I'm just sitting in the
00:36backyard, scrolling on my phone. I had got down on my knees to tell Stormy to stop being so rowdy
00:41with Chanel. I looked to my right and here comes Nitro. He's just snarling at me. I verbally said
00:47out loud, are you about to bite me? And sure enough, he latched on this arm and he would not let go.
00:53With the following attack being so violent and her baby at risk, they knew their decision
00:57was for the best. Nitro had latched onto my head and he was slaving my head up against the house
01:02and Sugar and Stormy started mauling my legs. So I was screaming out bloody murder. Someone please
01:06help me. I am going to die right now. So I started walking and at this point, Nitro latched back onto
01:12my arm and I'm carrying him across the backyard. When I got to the steps, I was protecting my belly
01:17because I knew I was pregnant. As I'm crawling up the steps, Nitro grabbed me by my left ankle
01:22and pulled me down the steps. He pulled my Achilles tendon right off the bone. By sheer luck,
01:27or the grace of God, something happened that day that saved her and her baby's lives.
01:32It's only by the grace of God that I got out of that. I felt like I was lifted up off those steps
01:38and into the house. I had three torn up limbs, both my legs and my right arm. Somehow got myself
01:44inside. I had laid myself down on the floor and I knew I needed to get up or I was going to
01:48that one. I shimmed myself up and slammed myself into the walls, going to the kitchen to get my phone
01:54when I realized they had ripped my shorts open and my phone was laying in the backyard still.
01:59At this point, my only option is I need to go on the front porch and scream murder and hope someone
02:04hears me or I'm going to. After such a traumatic situation and with no reasonable explanation for
02:10why the dogs attacked, they were forced to put their beloved dogs down shortly after this happened.
02:15This is how good our God is. Our neighbor was out there with a walking stick and he was on his way
02:20to come and beat the dogs off me. When he met me up on the porch, he held towels on my wounds until
02:26the ambulance and animal control got there. And he let me use his phone to let Isaiah know,
02:30hey, you need to get to the hospital right now. What's crazy about this is he told me he just felt
02:34like he needed to go outside and he saved my life that day. From there, I was put immediately
02:38into trauma surgery. Everything that came afterwards is a story for another time. And yeah,
02:43that's the story of how my dogs almost came. Over a year after the attack, her baby girl was born
02:49happy and healthy. She was named Grace due to it being God's grace that saved them both that day.
02:55Now she's finally been able to get dogs back into her life and still lives with Chanel,
03:00who was the only dog to try to save her in the attack.
