00:00And just a real quick thing on college, because it's starting to really tick me off.
00:04Hearing guys like Nick Saban and other commentators who are now taking shots for some reason
00:09at the Dukies of James Madison and the Green Wave of Tulane, as if they don't belong in
00:15the tournament.
00:15I think Nick Saban said it's like having a AAA baseball team playing in the World Series.
00:20Well, shame on you, Nick Saban, and shame on everybody else that's coming out of the
00:23woodwork now, hating on two programs that have earned their way into the final 12 in
00:29the tournament.
00:30You know, if you just want to make this a popularity contest and pick the 12 teams
00:34with the biggest fan bases and, you know, the best TV ratings, then just go ahead and
00:37do that.
00:38But that's not what competition is all about.
00:41You know, the thing that we love about March Madness and why March Madness has the level
00:46of popularity it has is not because we have a Final Four every year of Duke, Kentucky, North
00:54Carolina, and Louisville.
00:56Right.
00:56You know, you'll pick your whatever team you want.
00:58The reason March Madness is so popular is because the Villanova Wildcats beat Georgetown,
01:06because NC State beat Houston, because, you know, pick your favorite underdog that's made
01:12a run to the Sweet 16, the Elite Eight, the Final Four, et cetera, et cetera.
01:16Butler versus Duke in the final game.
01:18And a three-pointer that almost went in to beat Duke.
01:21That's why we love March Madness, and that's why, next to the Super Bowl, it's the greatest
01:26sporting event our country has to offer.
01:29And when I hear people like Nick Saban, who's a nothing but a deranged blue-blooder now because
01:36of his time, of course, and his success at Alabama, when I hear a guy like Joel Klatt,
01:40he's a very well-respected college football voice on Fox, you know, come out and take
01:45shots at things.
01:47He took shots at March Madness.
01:48Yeah.
01:48It was a joke.
01:49Yeah.
01:49And I'm saying to myself, what's wrong with you people?
01:52Like, I have no rooting interest.
01:54Syracuse is not in it.
01:56Right.
01:56All right?
01:56My kids went to Miami.
01:58It'd be great for them if Miami made a little run.
02:00And I do think they're capable of it.
02:02So, my rooting interest, I guess, is with Miami.
02:04All right?
02:05But, man, I want to see James Madison win as a three-touchdown underdog.
02:10I want Tulane to win as a 17-and-a-half-point underdog.
02:15That's the beauty of this.
02:16That's the beauty of sports.
02:18So, yeah, would Notre Dame have maybe had a better chance to win?
02:23Yeah.

02:24Of course.
02:24100%.
02:25Of course.
02:26But that's not what this is about.
02:27And the kids that play football at James Madison, the kids that play football at Tulane, and
02:33their coaching staffs, and their fan bases, shouldn't have to feel bad that the pretty
02:40girl with the blonde hair and the big boobs didn't get invited to be the prom queen.
02:47She's got VD.
02:49Nobody wanted her this year.
02:51So, yes, is a more popular team being left out?
02:55100% it is.
02:55Not going to debate that.
02:57But that's not what sports is all about.
