00:08pleaded not guilty at the Kuala Lumpur Magistrates' Court on Friday
00:12to a charge of failing to notify authorities of a change in business details.
00:16The charge relates to his business, Invoice Solutions,
00:20being used to receive public donations to pay a defamation fine
00:24connected to a case involving Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
00:29He is accused, in his capacity as the responsible individual
00:33for the service and event management company, of failing to declare a change
00:37in its registered particulars when it was used to collect donations
00:41for settling the fine.
00:43The 42-year-old allegedly committed the offence between October 24, 2017
00:49and November 30, 2017, and was charged under the Business Registration Rules
00:551957, which carries a maximum fine of 10,000 ringgit, imprisonment of up to one year, if found guilty.
01:03Earlier, Deputy Public Prosecutor Muhammad Anas Mahadzir requested that bail be set at 5,000 ringgit.
