00:00What is the most important fix for the New England Patriots?
00:03Think about that for a second.
00:05If there is one issue with the team, what is it?
00:12To me, the easy answer is the defense.
00:15That's the easy answer.
00:17Their run defense has given up 100 yards in five of the last six games.
00:22Right?
00:22So giving up, that's something that since Milton Williams has been out is an issue.
00:27And just getting run all over last week by Cook and by Josh Allen.
00:34And Allen actually beat them through the air through tight ends.
00:37But if there was a different area, right, maybe red zone offense and defense just in the red zone itself,
00:46that's an area that they need to improve on.
00:50But last week, they were better in the red zone offensively.
00:54They actually pulled the lever and they released the hounds when it came to Drake May in the red zone.
01:01But defensively, woof, woof.
01:05I'm almost wondering if that's the biggest issue for the Patriots right now.
01:09If there was one important fix going forward.
01:12To me, it's not the offense.
01:14It's not.
01:17It's just not.
01:19That defense, I think Mike Vrabel might need to get his hands in on this thing.
01:24We know about, you know, Terrell not being a part of the team this year.
01:30You know, they've had some really good games where they get out to big leads.
01:33They beat teams in the third quarter and then they cruise the rest of the way.
01:37But now, now the defense has to play four full quarters.
01:43If you think about it, how many games have they truly had to play a full 60 minutes defensively?
01:49Or just as a team, a full 60 minutes?
01:54The Saints game?
01:56Miami?
01:57Like, it's mostly been get out to a lead and then just have adjustments third quarter and boom.
02:06Not the case last week versus Buffalo and it certainly will not be the case against Baltimore.
02:12But some positives regarding the Patriots this week against Baltimore.
02:18If the Patriots get ahead 21-0 on Baltimore, like they did against the Bills, I think it would be a hell of a lot harder for Baltimore to come back in that spot.
02:32Like, Lamar Jackson coming back from double digits?
02:36Probably not as likely as a Josh Allen.
02:41But I would keep the same thing on offense going.
02:45Keep the same pace going.
02:48In the red zone, use Drake May as an option.
02:50You get ahead of Baltimore, you win that game.
02:54They want the upper one, you win that game.
02:57Well, here we go.
02:57You win that game.
02:58You win that game.
02:59Let's go.
