00:09Kesha, who checked into a Chicago area rehab center on January 3rd to seek treatment for an eating disorder,

00:15doesn't have access to social media in the facility.

00:18But that didn't stop her from releasing a long and uplifting message to her fans on January 21st.

00:24So this is what she had to say.

00:26She actually had a friend of hers tweet on her behalf.

00:29This is the first tweet.

00:30Quote, this is Kesha's friend.

00:32She asked me to tweet an update for her because she doesn't have access to Twitter right now.

00:36She says, thank you so much in capital letters.

00:39I'm overwhelmed to tears by all the love, letters, and support.

00:43I'll be back soon and better than ever.

00:45And her friend also tweeted this.

00:47Oh, and she can't believe Timber is still number one.

00:50F yeah animals, party on.

00:52Now the first step to recovery is usually the hardest, admitting that you have a problem.

00:56Thankfully, Kesha had a lot of support in taking that first step.

01:00Now Kesha's friends were there for her throughout the whole process.

01:03And an insider told HollywoodLife.com that even though the warning signs weren't immediately obvious,

01:12They thought that she was just getting in shape.

01:14But she would hide all the bad stuff from those that were close to her.

01:18But eventually, those close friends began to see that the singer needed a lot of help.
