00:00Amanda Bynes steps out for the first time since leaving treatment for mental illness.
00:04An update on the actress coming up.
00:08Hi everyone, I'm Brian Corsetti for ENTV and TheHollywoodLife.com has all the details.
00:13As we all know by now, Amanda Bynes was forced into mental health treatment after reportedly starting a fire in a stranger's driveway back in July.
00:22It was an incident that topped off a year of strange behavior that included trashing celebs like Drake and Miley Cyrus.
00:28And posting raunchy pics of herself on Twitter.
00:32Now four months later, the troubled former Disney star has been released from the treatment facility and into the care of her parents.
00:39And on Thursday, Amanda was seen out and about looking, well, pretty unrecognizable in jeans, a plain t-shirt and cap with her hair pulled back.
00:48But you can't blame us for the double take because it's been a huge difference from the eccentric looks she was stepping out in the past year with.
00:56Her mom's attorney released a statement saying that Amanda is, quote, feeling better every day.
01:01The statement also revealed that the starlet is making plans to attend college and major in fashion design.
01:07Back before her rehab stent, Amanda famously announced that her future plans involved, quote,
01:12getting in shape, getting a nose job and starting a long and wonderful career as a singer slash rapper.
01:19Obviously, a lot has changed since then.
01:22According to the lawyer, Amanda is no longer in a facility, but her outpatient treatment is continuing.
01:28It also helps that her mom will remain in charge of her well-being and finances while she continues to get help.
01:33I'm Brian Corsetti.
