This just might be the rootinest-tootinest breakfast recipe that Natalie’s ever made. In this video, she shows you how to make a cowboy breakfast skillet with cooked breakfast sausage, plenty of cheese, and smoky bacon bits! Layered into one skillet with diced veggies and fire roasted tomatoes, this casserole is baked in the oven until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

00:00Saddle up because we're taking your taste buds on a little ride. I love that. Starting with some
00:03breakfast sausage. Add in some onion, bell pepper, and some jalapeno. Just cook that for about four
00:07minutes until everything's nice and soft and just add a little bit of salt. I can promise you no
00:11one's going to be sleeping in if you make this for breakfast. Now it's time to layer it up. I'm
00:14going to sprinkle a little bit of fire roasted diced tomatoes. I mean we are cooking for cowboys.
00:17Now we're adding our cheese mixture right on top. Take a spoon and smear it around. We're going in
00:21with two cups of bisquick, then add milk and give it a whisk. And I almost forgot one tablespoon of
00:24oil. And then we're going to fold in some crumbled bacon. Now we're adding our bisquick to the top.
00:28Just gently spread out that layer. It does not have to be perfect. We're finishing it
00:31off with the remaining cheese and then we're going to bake it in the oven at 350 for about
00:3330 minutes. She looks really good. I'm garnishing with some green onion, but you could use cilantro
00:37or some jalapeno. It smells good and I have a feeling it's going to be even better. Topping
00:40it off with a little sour cream, adding some more bacon and some fresh green onions. Wow.
00:45Now that's the root and astutenest breakfast I've ever had.
