Anaconda Just Got a Wild New Addition — And He’s Ready to Take on the Snake

Anaconda is leaning fully into its action-comedy chaos, and a surprising new cast addition is adding to the fun. NFL star Christian McCaffrey joins the upcoming meta-reboot with a confident take on what it might actually take to survive — and capture — one of cinema’s most infamous creatures.

Directed by Tom Gormican and written by Gormican and Kevin Etten, the film reimagines the 1997 cult classic with a self-aware twist and a stacked ensemble cast. Starring Paul Rudd, Jack Black, Steve Zahn, Thandiwe Newton, Daniela Melchior, and Selton Mello, Anaconda promises outrageous humor, big action, and a playful nod to its roots.
