00:00Oliver, you must feel as if you should have and perhaps could have taken at least one of the chances
00:07that you maybe got something from the game. How did you see it?
00:10Exactly like that. I think you're now the 10th journalist who asked me the same question
00:18and this is how it feels and I think this is how everybody watched this game.
00:22So, for me, the result doesn't reflect the performance we showed
00:27and it's just we have to accept that City was better in the boxes and was better and more efficient than we were.
00:34They took their chances, we missed them and that's why we lost at the end.
00:40Does that end in frustration then, the disappointment?
00:44No, today completely the opposite. So, I think, I don't know, it was our fifth or sixth game,
00:50fifth against City since I'm here, one, three last year, our fifth game, we lost four.
00:56And we won the cup final, I think this was by far the best performance we had against them.
01:01It was by far, we were most competitive or it felt like this, but the result doesn't show it.
01:08But we're always talking about our performances of our progress and again,
01:13so many parts of the game I watched today were excellent.
01:16We kept them on two finishes first half, one was a direct free kick and then Haaland's header,
01:22but you were 1-0 down and so that means the whole team must have defended really well,
01:29but not just defended around the own box, but on the other side creating three, four big chances.
01:33It was excellent, but again, if you want to win, you need to take them in the right moments
01:40and I think this is what we are missing to the top teams in the Premier League,
01:44but this just shows the progress of the team.
01:48Thank you. Martin?
01:50Yeah, I mean, the energy and intensity of your team completely blew them off of their stride,
01:56but certainly an out. I assume that was the game plan to be really, not nastily physical,
02:03but be strong and determined that you had a very high test of goal gifts.
02:06You felt that there was a vulnerability there?
02:08Yes, of course, we know when you see the players, how they played today,
02:13then it's always they try to play through the middle and we know that.
02:17I think Adam Wadden and Tajik Armada played brilliantly today.
02:23It's a fantastic performance from both players and not just in defence,
02:27but you know, it's not just the physicality, then you win the balls,
02:30but what we did then and they were also in possession.
02:33I remember plenty of chances, I was told them trying to play diagonal to the opposite ten
02:40and we played one-touch football and just didn't take the chances.
02:45And I think we can't have more, you can always have more,
02:50but not so often you have more than we had.
02:53But yeah, the most important part we missed today, but again,
02:57everybody wants to take the chance, everybody wants to score a goal,
03:02but that's just what happened today.
03:06In one very important game it was completely the opposite,
03:09so City missed a few chances and we had won,
03:13and we took it and won the trophy for Palace, so yeah, that's football.
03:17Ed?
03:19I'm just asking, Camilla, how is he?
03:23Does he look like a hip injury maybe?
03:25No, it's the hamstring, so we have to assess him,
03:28we will have a scan tomorrow, it was just an incident,
03:32because when he landed he overstretched his knee,
03:34that means the hamstring got the full stretch, full extension,
03:40because he never, I said to him, so joking and said,
03:44Dad, you have no muscles, you can't have a muscle injury,
03:47so yeah, it looks like we will miss him for a few weeks,
03:51but I think they did well, very well,
03:54but the next one will step up, I'm pretty sure this is how we are,
03:58and we keep going.
04:02This might sound a bit of a strange question,
04:04but in some ways are you more satisfied today
04:06than you have been in some of the games that you've won this season?
04:10Yes, yes, exactly, so we're always talking about the performance,
04:15and yes, I said before I think it was a better performance
04:20than our last two away wins at Burnley and at Fulham,
04:27it was better, but there we were very efficient,
04:32and today not, but again,
04:36when you play the top teams in the world,
04:40not just in the Premier League, in the world,
04:42and you want to beat them,
04:44you need to be top in every single part of the game,
04:49and I think in nine of ten parts you were excellent today,
04:54but in the most important one, in finishing,
04:57we were not good enough, and that's why we lost.
05:03You mentioned the finishing there,
05:04and maybe it's a bit of a trend this season,
05:06I think it's 20 goals off nearly 27 xG,
05:09is that something that you just trust will come good?
05:12How do you improve it?
05:14Encouraging the players, supporting the players,
05:16so that's the only way we can do it,
05:18because nobody misses a chance on purpose,
05:23and it's just being calm and encouraging them.
05:28For us, for me, the most important thing is now getting the players in these situations,
05:34and just to mention, because this is what I really love with this team,
05:38we showed them at half-time,
05:40because a few times we played a little bit too slow in behind,
05:43we were offside,
05:45and we said, OK, play one touch in behind,
05:47I think after two minutes,
05:48Jeremy Pino plays a one-touch ball in behind,
05:50and Ismila Saros runs one against the keeper,
05:52then it's just the wrong decision,
05:54by cutting in instead of taking the finish,
05:57and I think we can get the players into these situations,
06:00and that means today maybe we had four or five good chances,
06:04and to increase the probability of scoring,
06:06maybe we have to get them there eight, nine, ten times,
06:09and this is what we will work on.
06:12Any other questions?
06:13No?
06:14Thanks very much everyone.
06:22Come again sometime?
06:25Ha ha ha.
06:27Hello.
06:28Yes.
