Hours after U.S. President Donald Trump announced that Thailand and Cambodia had agreed to revive a ceasefire, fresh fighting erupted along the disputed border, casting doubt on the truce. Cambodia accused Thailand of launching new airstrikes early Friday, claiming two Thai F-16 fighter jets dropped seven bombs near the border, hitting casino and hotel buildings including the Eternal Diamond Casino in Pursat province. Cambodian officials said the strikes showed Thailand had not halted its military operations and called them a violation of national sovereignty. Trump had said he spoke with Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet, securing an immediate halt to fighting under an earlier peace accord.
