US President Donald Trump claimed global leaders, particularly in Europe, now openly acknowledge America’s renewed influence. He said European nations view the U.S. president as a de facto leader and “respect us like never before.” Trump cited this as proof of America’s restored standing and vowed deeper cooperation with nations worldwide.

00:00We have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
00:02They're all saying it. Other leaders are saying it.
00:04The European nations are saying it.
00:06The European nations are reporting that your president
00:10might as well be the leader of the European nations also.
00:13They listen to us and they respect us like they've never respected us before.
00:17We have cabinet members and we have Marco is here.
00:21Scott Bessent is here.
00:23We got them all sort of here. Every single one.
00:26I won't call them out because they're not names that are going to get huge applause
00:30from this very substantially Democrat audience.
00:34But you know what? They're working.
00:35They're working toward making America great again.
00:38It's very simple. We are making America great again.
00:42I saw it today on a somewhat leftish broadcast.
00:47They were saying, you know, whether you like it or not,
00:49these numbers are starting to get very good and they are.
00:52And that's good for all of us.
00:53But during the season of joy and peace, we have so much to celebrate as a nation.
00:58Because one year ago, we really were.
01:00We were a country that was in serious trouble.
01:02There were those that say we were a country that was really not going to make it.
01:07And they were saying we were not going to make it.
01:09Now we have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
01:12They're all saying it. Other leaders are saying it.
01:14The European nations are saying it.
01:16The European nations are reporting that your president might as well be the leader of the European nations also.
01:23They listen to us and they respect us like they've never respected us before.
01:27So we're going to work very hard.
01:29We get along with them.
01:31We want to get along with as many nations as we can.
01:33We've been ripped off by a lot of them for a lot of years.
01:36And frankly, a lot of the Democrats knew that better than some of the Republicans.
01:40But we've been ripped off and taken advantage of by friend and foe.
01:45And in many cases, friend was worse than foe.
01:48But not anymore.
01:50We have, I don't know if you noticed, the deficit was cut down by 64%.
01:58Nobody's ever heard of a number like that.
02:00You know why?
02:00A thing called tariffs.
02:02The tariffs are so big and so substantial.
02:05And it was just announced two weeks ago.
02:07The deficit's cut down by nobody ever heard of a number like that.
02:10If the deficit goes down by 2%, it's like a great thing.
02:13The tariffs have reduced the deficit by 64%.
02:16Nobody has ever seen.
02:18And frankly, we haven't even started yet.
02:21It's given us strength.
02:22We've solved eight wars.
02:24Think of it.
02:24Eight wars have been solved.
02:26Although Thailand and Cambodia,
02:28I think I'm going to have to make a couple of phone calls on Thailand.
02:31But we'll get that one back on track.
02:34But think of it.
02:35We've solved eight wars that's never happened.
02:38And more Americans are working today than ever before.
02:42In the history of our country, we've never had anything like it.
02:45We have more Americans working today than at any time,
02:49by far, in the history of our country.
02:51And 100% of all new jobs have been created.
02:56100% created in the private sector.
02:59I mean, that's a big factor.
03:01Right, Virginia?
03:02Right?
03:04Also, just announced real wages are up for the typical worker
03:08by more than $1,000 a year.
03:11That's a record.
03:12$1,000 a year.
03:13And many of you in Congress worked very hard, both, both sides,
03:19this year to keep the promises that you were elected on
03:22and to deliver big wins for the American people.
03:25And Democrats worked very hard, too.
03:28I mean, I think you could get rid of a couple of your little policies,
03:32like men and women, sports, open borders, transgender for everybody.
03:35But other than that, I like what you're doing.
03:39You passed the largest tax cuts in American history.
03:43We all did that.
03:44We passed the largest spending cuts in American history.
03:48And we have the largest regulation cuts by far in American history.
03:52All of these things we just passed.
03:54You passed the Lake and Riley Act to get criminal aliens off the streets
03:58so they don't kill our people, hurt our people, mug our people,
04:02slice up our people, which is what they did.
04:06They're not doing it so much because crime is way down.
04:08And you passed the Genius Act to unleash a new era of financial innovation.
04:14And on a bipartisan basis, working with a woman named Melania.
04:21Have you heard of Melania?
04:24But working with our great First Lady,
04:27you passed the Take It Down Act to protect our nation's youth
04:32from some horrible people.
04:35And I think, I'm not sure, that was, this is hard to believe.
04:40I believe this is correct.
04:41It was just about a unanimous vote,
04:43to which I said, maybe you should be doing my job.
04:46Because I don't get one vote.
04:49You know that it was, was it, did anybody vote against it?
04:52Even Rand Paul voted for it, right?
04:54Because Rand Paul is an automatic no vote.
04:58He's not a Democrat vote, but he's an automatic no.
05:02Everybody voted.
05:03I think it was just about unanimous.
05:04I can't believe it.
05:05She came home.
05:06I said, I heard you got a unanimous vote.
05:08Yeah, she looks at me like, you know, what was the big deal?
05:12But that was a great thing that she did,
05:14a great thing that all of you did.
05:15Very soon, I'll hopefully be signing
05:17a National Defense Authorization Act
05:19that makes a historic investment
05:22in the United States military,
05:24which I think most people want to see.
05:27And I look forward to working with each and every one of you
05:29in the coming year to make our nation stronger,
05:32safer, wealthier, healthier.
05:34And I really believe we can work on healthcare together
05:37and come up with something that's going to be
05:39much better, much less expensive for the people,
05:42less expensive for our nation,
05:44but really, most importantly,
05:46better and less expensive for the people.
