Cambodia said Thai forces, including fighter jets, continued to strike targets across their disputed border on Saturday (Dec 13) morning, in the hours after US President Donald Trump claimed to have brokered a ceasefire.

Thailand's military countered with accusations that Cambodia was committing "repeated violations of international rules" by targeting civilian locations and laying landmines.

00:00Fighting between Cambodia and Thailand continued early on Saturday, hours after U.S. President Donald Trump claimed to have brokered a ceasefire.

00:28Trump said both sides had agreed to halt all shooting from Friday after calls with the Thai and Cambodian leaders, but Thailand's prime minister said no ceasefire was in place.
00:39Cambodian Prime Minister Hoon Manet said Phnom Penh was seeking a peaceful resolution and urged the U.S. and Malaysia to verify which side fired first.
00:48The two neighbors have exchanged rockets and artillery along their 817-kilometer border since Monday, in the heaviest fighting since July, despite earlier agreements to withdraw troops and heavy weapons.
