Artem Chigvintsev Exclusive Interview talks about dating Nikkie Bella & Dancing With The Stars.

00:00Yeah, I just got a call and I'm not part of the Dancing with the Stars anymore.

00:05And honestly, like, I don't know if it's just not part of being this season

00:08or it's not being part of the brand in general.

00:11That's the kind of conversation I haven't had with the show,

00:17just because they're so busy with, you know, they're just starting a season right now.

00:21That's what they want to focus on, and I understand.

00:24I don't know, I'm just, I'm shocked.

00:26I'll be frank with you, because the conversation that I had with producers,

00:34it seems to be very uplifting, it seems to be very positive.

00:38So it did come kind of like out of nowhere.

00:41And I also didn't feel like I've done something that I would even, like, look back thinking,

00:48oh, they might not bring me back because I've done something.

00:51And I just don't feel like I've done anything, really.

00:53The only thing that I could not really, no, I don't really have any explanation.

00:59If they call me and say, like, look, we want you to come back.

01:03I'm kind of in a place right now, and I might change my mind,

01:08like, when, if it's going to happen in the future.

01:10But I'm kind of in a place right now that I feel like I do not want to be dependent on it, you know.

01:16And I think realizing that for, like, being 10 years with the company,

01:21with Dancing with the Stars, it's only been five years.

01:24It's kind of realizing that you don't want to be depending on anyone's decision.

01:28I think that's what's really important right now for me.

01:30So I'm going to do everything possible to keep myself busy and doing other things,

01:36and hopefully exciting things.

01:38But if that call will come in, I honestly, I don't know what to tell you right now.

01:44I think it's still fresh and raw, you know,

01:46just because it's so current on everyone's news and feeds.

01:50Like, everybody's talking about, like, oh, I'm going to my first rehearsal.

01:53I can't wait to meet my partner, you know.

01:55And I've always been part of that type of process, which is kind of...

01:58And obviously, all of the people who are on the show are friends of mine.

02:01And seeing them being really, really excited, it's like a sweet, bitter feeling,

02:06because I'm really happy for them.

02:08But at the same time, I'm like, damn it, I wish I was there doing the same thing, you know.

02:13But I just wish nothing but success to a show, you know.

02:18Because there are so many really devoted fans out there who want to see it improve and progress

02:23and keep going for, God, I hope, many, many, many, many years.

02:29But, yeah, I just wish everyone luck on the show, because they deserve it.

02:35I mean, she's been absolutely amazing, you know.

02:39It's nice to have Nicole by my side, especially when things like that happen, you know.

02:45My family is way, way, way, way, way back in Russia,

02:49and I can never really, like, get that support.

02:52And it's not even just Nicole.

02:54I mean, Brie and her whole family has been extremely supportive.

02:57And anything you need, let me know, anything that I can help you with.

03:01And she's extremely motivating and tried to show me that, look,

03:05things happen for a reason.

03:07It means there's something else there which is bigger and better for you

03:10and maybe suits more for you, you know.

03:12So, she's been incredible.

03:16We're going to find out about that soon.

03:18Yeah, there is a lot of stuff coming soon that I think is a big changes for me.

03:26I mean, it is extremely different.

03:28I mean, I was just teaching her how to dance, you know.

03:30I don't know, it's something that just, like, clicked when we met one time after,

03:39during my tour, actually, during my last tour.

03:42And, I don't know, we just started hanging out.

03:45And things just kind of, like, developed from there.

03:47And it's, maybe there was some kind of a comfort zone

03:50because we kind of knew each other, but not really, like, in any other levels,

03:54but besides being, like, a dance partner.

03:58But, yeah, it's, you just never know what happened, you know.

04:02You just never know what's going to happen.

04:05It's, yeah, it's crazy.

04:07Life is kind of crazy.

04:08Well, yeah, I made the first move.

04:10I feel like the guys should make the first move.

04:11I think all of it.

04:12All of it, whatever you said.

04:14I'm a bit relieved that I feel like I'm finally okay with the point

04:20that actually I'm not going to be part of this season.

04:24I'm nervous what's to come, you know, because nothing is set in stone.

04:31But what I'm excited for is I feel like I'm a lot more motivated, you know.

04:37And it's weird that I'm saying that because normally, like,

04:41when you have something like that, it's like,

04:43oh, I'm so motivated, choreographing, teaching you all of that.

04:45And you are.

04:46But I feel like now I'm just a bit more open for the ideas

04:51and for what's possible, you know.

04:56And I want to explore different avenues and different things.

05:00You know, see you where it leads to.
