Narrated by a partridge, this charming, animated tale explains the lengthy and confusing Christmas carol of the same name. The bold and brave Sir Carolboomer loves the melancholy Princess Silverbelle. To win her heart, he steals what he thinks is her Christmas list, but what turns out to be the answers to the King's crossword puzzle. He mistakenly enlists his servant, Hollyberry, to find every item on her bizarre list, including a partridge in a pear tree, two turtle doves, three French hens, four calling birds, and so on. You get the idea. After twelve days of this gift giving, the Princess falls in love not with Carolboomer, but with the one who actually did the work, the noble Hollyberry.

00:58I don't know.
01:28Oh, my God.
01:58Well, hello there. I bet you're not used to seeing a partridge in a Christmas tree. Partridges usually hang out in pear trees, right? Or so it says here, in the 12 days of Christmas. Oh, can you imagine 12 days of Christmas? Oh, talk about going into debt.
02:22Well, it all began here at the castle of the bold and fearless knight, Sir Carol Boomer.
02:29Aren't I looking bold and fearless today, Halle Berry? Absolutely, definitely, without question.
02:34Well, then, why has the beautiful Princess Silverbell not given me her hand? I've loved her for years.
02:45It is said she is very moody, sire. She suffers from the melancholy.
02:50Another proposal from Sir Carol Boomer, your moroseness.
02:58Don't these suitors get it? I'm waiting for a guy who can make me laugh. Is that too much to ask?
03:04And if I ever find him, I'll marry the guy.
03:11By my sword, Halle Berry, I shall make the princess mine this Christmas by giving her everything her moody heart desires.
03:19Yes, sire?
03:21You must go to the palace and purloin Princess Silverbell's Christmas list.
03:26Pur-loin, sire?
03:28Steal, you ninny!
03:30With that list, I shall know just what to get the princess.
03:34I shall shower her with gifts, and then I will be her true love.
03:42Meanwhile, in the princess's castle, she was making out her list.
03:47A book of poems, a box of paint, a sundial.
03:54Finally finished, the princess set off for her father's throne room to give him the list.
04:00But first, she stopped at the Royal Puzzle Maker's Chambers.
04:05Sir Anagram, I've come for the answers to this week's Royal Crossword Puzzle.
04:09You know how Daddy hates being stumped.
04:12Here they are. Now wish the king a Merry Christmas for me.
04:16I'm off to the in-laws till after New Year's. Ta-ta!
04:25Yes, we're talking Christmas bonus here. Things are looking up.
04:31Sir Anagram needs a vacation.
04:34What kind of answers are these?
04:37A book of poems? A box of paints? A sundial?
04:42Hey! That's my Christmas list, Daddy! I must have lost the other one.
04:48If I can't get the answers from Sir Anagram, I might just have to figure out this darn puzzle myself.
04:56One partridge, two turtledoves, three French hens, four calling birds, five golden rings,
05:06six geese a-laying, seven swans a-swimming.
05:09By my sword, Princess Silverbell has some strange desires.
05:13Nine drummers drumming, ten pipers piping, eleven dames a-dancing, and twelve lords a-leaping?
05:21E-gad!
05:23Hmm.
05:24It will be a formidable project to please my lady.
05:27I've got it.
05:29Every day for twelve days, she must be brought the presents from her list.
05:33Formidable?
05:34Definitely.
05:35Impossible?
05:36Probably.
05:36Yes, but we'll manage somehow, won't you, Halle Berry?
05:41Me?
05:42Sire?
05:43You will find everything the princess has asked for.
05:46Or you will be starting the new year...
05:49With no Christmas bonus?
05:51Or worse.
05:55So, Halle Berry set out to gather all the gifts on that stupid list.
06:01And the first was, you guessed it, me in a pear tree.
06:07What, did you think I was just going to do the narrating?
06:10Plenty of apples in these trees, but where am I going to find a partridge?
06:17Hey!
06:18You're looking for me.
06:20It's a partridge.
06:21Definitely a partridge.
06:23Oh, madam, I need you to come with me to the palace.
06:27Uh-uh.
06:28No way, love.
06:29I don't go anywhere without my tree.
06:31Me and this tree are a pear.
06:33Get it?
06:34Right.
06:35No problem.
06:36Wait here.
06:42Cheer up, my daughter.
06:45It's the first day of Christmas.
06:47Who cares?
06:51A gift from Sir Carol Boomer, delivered by his squire, Halle Berry.
06:56A gift?
06:57Really?
06:58All right, all right.
07:01On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me.
07:09A partridge in a pear tree?
07:11Oh, partridge.
07:12Yes, yes, a nine-letter word for birds that fits in partridge.
07:19What kind of cheesy gift is this?
07:21Take it away, now.
07:23Right?
07:23Immediately?
07:24I'm gone.
07:27She's merely playing coy, Halle Berry.
07:30Tomorrow, Halle Berry, you will bring the princess the second gift, along with the first.
07:35Then I am certain to win her heart.
07:39And what is the second gift?
07:43Little dove, sire, hard to find, hard to catch.
07:47Just do it, or else...
07:50To catch a dove, you must be a dove.
08:04Too bad I can't fly like one!
08:06Another gift from Sir Carol Boomer.
08:14I certainly hope he does better this time.
08:17You open it.
08:18My nails are wet.
08:19On the second day of Christmas, my true love gave to me...
08:26Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree.
08:33Turtle doves.
08:35That fits.
08:37Tell Sir Carol Boomer I am not impressed.
08:42Wait, I'm going.
08:44I'm out of here.
08:45Dad, what spirit that princess has.
08:49Tomorrow, you will bring all three gifts.
08:54Three it is, sire.
08:58No!
08:59Oui, oui, oui, si vous play.
09:02No, no, no.
09:04Hello?
09:04I'll be right back.
09:11Come with me, my little hands.
09:13The princess, she is waiting for the gift.
09:25Hey, your humorlessness.
09:26Check this out.
09:27On the third day of Christmas, my true love came to me.
09:33Free princess!
09:35Don't turn up!
09:37And a partridge in a pear tree!
09:42Out! Out! Out!
09:45I don't know if I can take eight more days of this.
09:50On the fourth day of Christmas, my true love gave to me.
09:59Ah, princess wanna crack her?
10:02Four, darling birds!
10:05Achoo! Achoo!
10:07Does your master think I'm some kind of bird brain?
10:11Achoo! Be gone!
10:13Ah, be gone! Be gone! Achoo!
10:16Ah!
10:17Holly Berry wanna aspirin?
10:21The princess is weakening. I can feel it.
10:25He can feel it?
10:28Golden rings, eh?
10:30I know where you can find some big ones.
10:37Sir Carol Boomer could have bought rings at Ye Olde Jewelry Shop,
10:41but oh no, that would have been too easy.
10:47Hmm, not bad. What do you think?
11:01Well, your highness, I think you've got another gift.
11:05And on that fifth day of Christmas,
11:08my lady gave to me
11:11Five golden rings
11:15Ring-a-ding-ding-dong, four colors
11:17Hmm, now those are nice.
11:20What?
11:21And a partridge in a pear
11:24Partridge in a pear
11:26Don't even say it!
11:28Partridge in a pear?
11:29Partridge in a pear tree!
11:35Huh, she's not just melancholy, love.
11:37She's downright hostile.
11:39Oh, hostile. Definitely hostile.
11:45Nice, she said nice.
11:47Now we're getting somewhere.
11:49We are, sire?
11:51Absolutely. Just keep giving her everything she wants.
11:55But sire, she doesn't seem to want anything I give her.
11:58And I don't think she wants more birds.
12:01Holly Berry, do you want to see another sunrise?
12:08Ah, hey, hey...
12:11On the sixth day of Christmas,
12:13My true love gave to me
12:16Six geese are laying
12:19Ah!
12:20Ah, no, ah-oh.
12:23Oh, oh, oh, yeah!
12:25Yeah!
12:27Oh, oh, oh!
12:30On the seventh day of Christmas
12:35My true love gave to me
12:39Seven for the swimming
12:40No more birds
12:43If you bring another feather into this palace
12:51I'll have my daddy cut off your head
12:55I'm afraid there's a waiting list for that honor
12:58Daddy, I want Sir Carol Boomer's squire barred from the palace
13:06Why is that, my darling daughter?
13:10Because
13:11All the presents he brings have feathers
13:16You know how I feel about feathers
13:19Indeed I do
13:21But perhaps the squire may yet bring something to make you smile
13:26Besides, his gifts make excellent answers for my crossword puzzle
13:32Oh, very well, Daddy
13:35I'll do it for you
13:37What do you mean you're not going back to the palace?
13:43I dare not, sire
13:45The princess said her father will cut off my head if I return
13:48Nonsense
13:50She's just playing hard to get
13:51She just needs a bit of persuading
13:54And so
13:57Who do you, Holly Berry?
14:01And to think I used to like being a squire
14:05Go back?
14:07The princess has my head lopped off
14:09Stay here
14:10And Sir Carol Boomer does the honors
14:13Hmm, true love
14:15But you stand a better chance
14:18With the princess
14:19Yeah, right
14:20Princess Sullenbell
14:22Her royal gloominess
14:23Oh, lighten up
14:25She's just looking for someone to make her laugh
14:27Give it another shot
14:29What do you have to lose?
14:31Eh, only my head
14:34I think you've made a wise choice, Holly Berry
14:41I hope so, sire
14:44Don't just lie there
14:46The eighth day is a-wasting
14:48On the eighth day of Christmas
14:55My true love gave to me
14:58Cows, cows, cows, cows
15:00Now, what's under them?
15:04Oh, I've never had such a pounding headache
15:29It's no headache, your miserableness
15:32Oh, don't
15:34Tell me
15:35On the ninth day of Christmas
15:38My true love gave to me
15:40Sir
15:40Dying drummers roaming
15:42Sir
15:42Eight maize of milk
15:44Sir
15:44You're persistent, Holly Berry
15:46I'll give you that much
15:47She's a-laying
15:48Sir
15:48Mind if I borrow this?
15:50One and ring
15:51Two, three, four
15:52Right, persistent
15:59See you tomorrow
16:01Tomorrow?
16:05Tomorrow?
16:06Ha!
16:06I am not getting out of bed tomorrow
16:09No matter what Holly Berry does
16:11Well, on the tenth day of Christmas
16:18The princess was out like a blown light bulb
16:22Oh, those stupid gifts from Holly Berry
16:31But it sounds like a party
16:33How come I wasn't invited?
16:36Huh?
16:37Huh?
16:54Holly Berry, what is the meaning of this?
16:56Meaning?
16:57Well, it's... it's...
17:08No. Actually, I could only find nine.
17:11So I had to fill in.
17:13Not that you care!
17:15You're right. I don't.
17:25Oh, shut up!
17:26Thank you. Thank you very much.
17:29Ten days and nothing.
17:31Mm-mm. Wrong, love.
17:33She almost smiled.
17:35A slight grimace, perhaps.
17:37Still, Sir Carol Boomer will be pleased.
17:41Almost smiled, did she?
17:44I knew my persistence would pay off.
17:47Congratulate me, Holly Berry.
17:49Two more days of gifts, and I will have my true love.
17:54Congratulations, sire!
17:59Yes, I, Arthur Holly Berry, will teach you royal dowagers to dance by tomorrow.
18:04Absolutely free!
18:06And a one, and a two!
18:08Oh!
18:09Oh!
18:10Oh!
18:11Oh!
18:12Oh!
18:13Oh!
18:14Oh!
18:15Oh!
18:16Oh!
18:17Oh!
18:18Oh!
18:19Oh!
18:20Oh!
18:21Oh!
18:22Oh!
18:23Oh!
18:24Oh!
18:25Oh!
18:26On the 11th day of Christmas, my true birth gave to me.
18:32Eleven dames are dancing.
18:35Ten poppers popping.
18:37And what do you call this?
18:39The Texas tootostep.
18:43And how did you get all these royal dames to dance?
18:46It wasn't easy.
18:48Eleven dames are dancing.
18:51Hey, hey, hey, whoa!
18:54Five...
18:57Well, big heads!
18:59Put a second there, she almost looked happy.
19:02No, it couldn't be.
19:04It was true.
19:06Even the melancholy princess was caught up in the music.
19:10And poor...
19:12...was caught up in the princess.
19:14Melancholy?
19:16Maybe?
19:17Pretty?
19:18Definitely!
19:21One day left and I'm worse off than before.
19:35Don't tell me, love.
19:37You're starting to fall for that melancholy baby.
19:40Helplessly? Certainly.
19:42Hopelessly? Definitely.
19:45But no matter how he felt about the princess,
19:49Holly Berry was a devoted squire.
19:53Yes.
19:54Devoted to keeping my head.
19:56And so he prepared to bring Sir Carol Boomer's twelfth gift.
20:04Oh, are you sure the king wants to see us?
20:07He insists, my lords.
20:09He even sent you new boots to wear.
20:11Whoa!
20:12Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
20:22Holly Berry!
20:23Why aren't those lords leaping?
20:26They will, they will, sire.
20:28The chili pepper insoles I put in their boots
20:32should be heating up just about now.
20:36We got you as fast as we could, your highness.
20:39In fact, my feet are really fine, huh?
20:42Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
20:45On the 12th day of Christmas, my crew are paid to me.
20:52Trout, you're the leaping?
20:54Now that's a hot one.
20:55Yes, it's the nuts answer to my grass word puzzle too.
21:02Let's look.
21:03Was that my daughter laughing?
21:07I did it, Holly Berry.
21:09The princess is busting a gusset.
21:15Daughter, does this mean...
21:18Yes, Daddy.
21:19I have found my true love.
21:21And I will marry him.
21:23If he'll have me.
21:25I knew you'd come to your senses, princess.
21:28Oh, lighten up, love.
21:30You've still got your head.
21:32And a big bonus coming.
21:34Probably.
21:35But my heart is broken.
21:37Definitely.
21:38The answer is yes, yes, yes.
21:43No, no, no.
21:45I will wed Squire Holly Berry.
21:49Holly Berry.
21:51Holly Berry.
21:52Holly Berry.
21:53Holly Berry.
21:54Salt Club Blue.
21:55Holly Berry.
21:56Me?
21:57Yes, you.
21:59Look what you've gone through to make me smile.
22:02You've been a bird keeper, bagpiper, goose chaser, dance teacher?
22:06Now that's pretty cool.
22:09Mwah.
22:10No.
22:11Hot.
22:12Definitely.
22:13Hot.
22:14Okay.
22:15So I knew all along.
22:20But you wouldn't want me to spoil the story, would you?
22:23Mwah.
22:24Mwah.
22:25Mwah.
22:26Mwah.
22:27Mwah.
22:28Mwah.
22:29Mwah.
22:30Hello.
22:31I can get this Christmas.
22:32Oh, wait a minute.
22:33I almost forgot.
22:37Merry Christmas, everybody.
22:46Merry Christmas, everybody.
23:16Merry Christmas, everybody.
