00:00What does it mean to you to be here tonight and celebrate this wonderful cause and of course, Jay-Z and his mom's foundation?
00:06Yeah, I mean, it's so amazing to be here. 20th anniversary, so I think it's a very special occasion.
00:10I'm very honored to be invited and to be a part of it, and I think it's going to be a great night.
00:14Yeah, well, and you have been very open, especially in this we saw on Stars on Mars,
00:19about just your support for marginalized communities, LGBTQ community, and you've gotten so much incredible feedback.
00:26Can you tell me a little bit about that probably difficult conversation that you had on camera and the conversations that have started since?
00:33Yeah, I mean, I think it's just so important to always make sure that you speak up for communities that maybe aren't represented in the room.
00:40So when I was given the opportunity to kind of stand up for somebody who wasn't able to voice their own opinion or kind of present their own perspective,
00:47I thought that that was really important to share, and I think it's great to continue to have these discussions and stand up for marginalized communities,
00:54queer people, black people, LGBTQ+, all of it.
00:57Totally.
00:58Now, you recently also opened up about how Janet Jackson, Beyonce, some of your biggest inspirations.
01:04Tell me a little bit about just, I mean, tonight being Jay-Z, Beyonce, are you going to see Bay's show?
01:10Oh, yeah.
01:11Yeah.
01:11Of course.
01:12I definitely am going to see the show.
01:13I don't know when, but I will see it, like, without a doubt.
01:15I'm dying to.
01:16And Blue Ivy up there, too.
01:18Yes, I met her last night.
01:19She was so sweet and so cute.
