US President Donald Trump claimed the United States "obliterated" Iran's nuclear site, crediting the strike for what he described as unprecedented peace across the Middle East. Speaking to reporters, Trump warned Tehran of a "complete knockout" if it attempts to rebuild its nuclear or missile programmes, praised US pilots for hitting "every target", and said Iran now wants a new deal with Washington. He also highlighted American support for Israel during recent regional clashes.

00:00Can you confirm that you have appointed a general to lead the stabilization forces in Gaza?
00:06What will be its mission and how soon do you want to see...
00:09Well, we're working very strongly on Gaza, yeah.
00:11We're working very much on Gaza.
00:13We actually do have a real peace in the Middle East.
00:16We have 59 countries supporting it, which has never happened before.
00:19We have countries that want to come in and take care of Hamas, as an example.
00:25We have countries that want to come in and take care of Hezbollah in Lebanon.
00:30As an example.
00:31And I say, right now you don't have to do that.
00:33You may have to do that.
00:34But we have countries that are volunteering to come in and literally take care of the whole thing.
00:38We have a great peace in the Middle East.
00:40It's never happened before.
00:42And I think it's very strong, actually.
00:45And with Prime Minister Netanyahu, you're supposed to meet him at the end of this month.
00:49What's on there?
00:50Well, we get along with him very well.
00:51He's been a wartime prime minister, certainly.
00:55We did a big thing.
00:56When we went in with this very plane right here, this beautiful plane, we went in with
01:01those B-2s.
01:04And we, and now I can use the word because it's been confirmed by the Atomic Energy Commission,
01:08we obliterated their nuclear capability, their potential.
01:13And their nuclear capability would have been there in about two months.
01:16I think it looked like it was two.
01:17Some people say two weeks.
01:18I don't know if it's two weeks.
01:19But a very short period of time, they were very close to having massive nuclear weapons.
01:25And these guys went in and they did a job.
01:28And that made peace possible because everybody was afraid of Iran.
01:33And now they're not afraid of Iran anymore.
01:35And Iran would like to make a deal with us.
01:37Your own national security strategy does not say obliterated, sir.
01:40It says set them back.
01:42Your intro does.
01:44Well, the Atomic Energy Commission said obliterated.
01:47And the people that have seen the site said obliterated.
01:49And frankly, Iran said it was obliterated.
01:52And to show you how accurate it was, and, you know, I fight for the pilots because the
01:58pilots and those people went in there at great risk.
02:00And they hit every single target on every single bomb.
02:05And they did a lot of damage.
02:07And for them to be given anything less than 100 percent of the credit is unfair.
02:12So I will tell you the Atomic Energy Commission said it's like gonzo.
02:18It's one person actually used the term obliterated.
02:23But Iran actually said that they probably can never go there again.
02:26They can probably never start there again.
02:28If they ever started, they'd probably choose a new site.
02:31But regardless, we took out the Iran nuclear site with great talent.
02:36No other country could have done that.
02:38No other country has weapons like we do.
02:40But no other country could have done that.
02:41We have the best weapons in the world.
02:43We have the best military in the world.
02:45And when we took out Iran, that allowed for peace.
02:49There's no way that, and I really have great respect for the king of Saudi Arabia, for the
02:56Amir, I'm a friend, UAE.
02:58These are great people.
03:00These are actually great people and great leaders.
03:02There's no way they could have done a deal if Iran was not really nullified to a large extent.
03:10Iran is not the same country.
03:12Iran was a country that was feared by everybody.
03:16Now it's a country that's been very much downgraded.
03:19I'm sure they'll try and come back.
03:22And they're very capable people.
03:24Maybe they will.
03:25Maybe they won't.
03:25They are reconstituting their missile program quite quickly.
03:30Well, you know, they can try.
03:32But it's going to take them a long time to come back.
03:34But if they do want to come back and they want to come back without a deal, then we're going to obliterate that one, too.
03:39You know, we can knock out their missiles very quickly.
03:41We have great power.
03:43And we helped Israel a lot.
03:45We were shooting down the drones.
03:46We were doing a lot of things for Israel.
03:48We did a good job for Israel.
03:50But Israel did a good job.
03:51They fought.
03:51And they all fought bravely.
03:53Look, that's a war.
03:54That's a vicious war.
03:55They're all vicious wars.
03:57When you write, hey, you covered a lot of wars.
03:59They're all vicious.
04:00We never saw a nice one, right?
04:01Right.
04:01They're all vicious.
04:03But that was a big fight.
04:06But the big thing was the knockout of the possible nuclear capability.
04:11And it was a complete knockout of nuclear capability.
04:13That doesn't mean that over the next two years or three years they're not going to come back.
04:18They're not going to try.
04:20I think they got hit so hard.
04:21They may talk about trying.
04:23But I don't think they want to try.
04:24And I can tell you that they would love to be able to make a deal with me.
04:28They would love to be able to make a deal with me.
04:30And I'd love to make a deal with them if we could.
04:32You know, we were not close, but not so close.
04:36But we were reasonably there for a deal with Iran before the bombing.
04:40And they would have been much better off if they made a deal.
04:45They could have had a deal.
04:46They could have had a deal where they would have been much better off.
04:49Look at what we've done.
04:50I mean, their place is blown up.
04:53Forget about the nuclear.
04:54The nuclear is gone.
04:55But look at the damage they've suffered, the death that they've suffered.
04:59They could have had a deal with nobody would have died.
05:01No buildings would have been down.
05:02Nothing would have happened.
05:04We would have blown up their nuclear.
05:07That would have been it.
05:08They could have had a great deal.
05:10But they missed that opportunity.
05:11But they would like to make a deal right now.
05:13Iran would like to make a deal with me.
