00:00Trump explodes over lack of loyalty.
00:03Pardoned Texas Congressman runs back to Democrats days after he and his wife escape from bribery
00:08scandal.
00:09President Donald Trump has publicly criticized Texas Congressman Henry Queller over the weekend,
00:15accusing the Democrat of showing a lack of loyalty by announcing a re-election bid shortly
00:19after receiving a presidential pardon.
00:22Trump's comments posted on Sunday, December 7th on Truth Social came just days after he
00:27granted Queller and his wife Imelda a full and unconditional pardon related to their federal
00:32bribery and conspiracy indictment.
00:35Trump's criticism came after Queller announced he would run for Congress again as a Democrat.
00:42Queller's pardon was Trump's third act of clemency in a single week.
00:46The former president also commuted the sentence of investment manager David Gentile, who faced
00:51seven years in prison for fraud and eliminated a decades-old sentence for former Honduran
00:55president Juan Orlando Hernandez, convicted of trafficking cocaine into the United States.
01:01Texas Congressman Henry Queller Queller and his wife Imelda were indicted for allegedly taking
01:07nearly $600,000 in bribes.
01:10The Queller case appeared particularly significant to Trump, who has repeatedly argued that the
01:15justice system was weaponized under President Joe Biden.
01:19Trump described the indictment against Queller as a witch hunt, using the same language he applied
01:23to the criminal cases against himself.
01:26Trump claimed Queller, known as a moderate Democrat, was targeted because of his criticism of Biden's
01:31immigration policies.
01:33For years, the Biden administration weaponized the justice system against their political opponents,
01:38and anyone who disagreed with them, Trump said when announcing the pardon.
01:42The justice system
01:44Trump said he had never met Queller or his wife, but decided to grant the pardon after receiving what
01:49he called a beautiful letter from their daughters dated November 12, 2025, which urged him to show
01:55mercy and compassion to our parents, and described them as,
01:59two of the kindest, most selfless people we know.
02:02In an interview with CNN, Queller expressed gratitude for the pardon and echoed Trump's criticism of the
02:08justice system, saying his case reflected a weaponization of justice, while emphasizing that although he had been
02:14indicted, he was never convicted.
