00:00Hey, it's People in 10. Pamela Anderson has had quite the year.
00:07This last year has been, sometimes it's surreal, like even sitting here I'm thinking,
00:11has this really happened or did I dream all of this? Because it is a dream.
00:14And part of that dream was a secret romance with her Naked Gun co-star Liam Neeson.
00:19She confirms in this week's cover story that they were romantically involved for
00:23a short while after filming, spending what she calls an intimate week at his
00:27upstate New York home. Liam even introduced her at dinner as the future Mrs. Neeson.
00:32Hello! But don't get too excited. They've since parted ways. Sad.
00:36Pam says, I adore Liam, but we are better friends. And hey, between acting, working on her garden,
00:42running her skincare brand, and writing a vegan cookbook and a memoir, she seems to be doing just fine.
00:48This is just such a great next chapter for me. I feel like I've been able to experiment.
00:54I just feel great. I mean, I feel good.
00:57Kylie and Timothy made a statement none of us could miss.
01:00Amid rumors of a split, the couple stepped out together, and bright orange no less,
01:04at the LA premiere of his new film, Marty Supreme. Kylie went with a floor-length cutout gown,
01:09while Timothy rocked a matching leather suit. And it looks like they have her momages' blessings.
01:14Kris Jenna gave her seal of approval when she posted a photo of herself in a Marty Supreme bomber jacket,
01:19which Kylie has also worn. Talk about a supportive family.
01:24Meghan Markle is extending an olive branch to her estranged father. The 81-year-old
01:28unexpectedly had a lower leg amputation earlier this month in the Philippines,
01:32which prompted Meghan to send her dad a note with the support of reliable and trusted people.
01:36She had reportedly been trying to get in touch, but didn't have a phone number for him.
01:40Remember, they've been estranged since 2018. That's a long time. So hopefully now,
01:46they're able to move forward in a positive way. This all comes amid Meghan's busy holiday season.
01:51Let the festivities commence and embrace the special touches that bring you joy.
01:55And Harry's too. What's a real prince gotta do to get into a Hallmark movie these days?
02:00I think you two have enough going on. But the holiday season is a good time to reconnect with family
02:05on both sides. Sydney Sweeney is still answering to that controversial American Eagle ad.
02:11And this time, she's talking to us. Let's find out what she said.
02:17Hey, Mako. What's up? Hey, Katherine. Okay. So this isn't the first time that Sydney has addressed
02:21the backlash, but it was kind of the most emotional. What's going on?
02:26Yeah. So she first addressed the controversy in an interview with GQ, but she treaded lightly in
02:30her answer. About a month later, though, she opened up in an exclusive interview with People
02:35in which she said that she doesn't really respond to negative or positive press, but quote,
02:40has come to realize that my silence regarding this issue has only widened the divide, not closed it.
02:46Yeah. The silence was kind of loud. So what exactly did she say?
02:49Sydney said that she was surprised by the reaction. She said that to her,
02:53she was just doing a jeans ad, but people have assigned motives and labels to her that aren't true.
02:59She also emphasized that she's against hate and divisiveness. Instead, she says she's someone who
03:04leads with kindness. All right. For anyone who might've forgotten, I don't know how you could.
03:09What do people find so controversial? So the tagline of the American Eagle campaign was
03:14Sydney Sweeney has great genes, the denim kind, but also referenced how genes, G-E-N-E-S,
03:22are passed down through generations. So some people began debating that word play and interpreted the
03:28campaign to be racially charged and hinting at genetic superiority, which both American Eagle and
03:33Sydney have denied. Yeah. Some things just can't be sort of ambiguous, you know? Well, thank you so
03:38much for the info. I'll talk to you later. You're welcome. Bye. Awards season is officially almost
03:45here now that we have our Golden Globe nominees. I'll be seeing you very soon. Not if I see you first.
03:52Leading the pack is one battle after another, which picked up nine noms,
03:56including Best Picture, Musical or Comedy. This is the end of the line. Not for you.
04:01Sentimental Value follows with eight, then Sinners with seven. They'll face off in the tough Best
04:06Picture Drama category. And while there were definitely a few shocking snubs, including Wicked
04:10For Good missing out on Best Pick, both Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande made the cut. Oh, thank God.
04:16And no surprises here. The White Lotus nabbed the most nods for a TV series with six.
04:21Wish I'd be impressed. January 11th should be an interesting night.
04:25It's official. Chanel Jones has a new gig. After Hoda Khabi left the morning show in January,
04:32many have temporarily filled her seat on the fourth hour. But now Chanel will become Jenna Bush Hager's
04:38permanent co-host. I don't know where to laugh or cry or scream or do what.
04:43This has been a rollercoaster of a year for Chanel, who will officially start in January. And to her,
04:48this new role is divine. I just hope you know that if you see me here, that means you can do it too.
04:55And we're all going to fight for our joy. When you see me laughing and when you see me having a good
04:58time with my sister friend here, it means you can get up and to conquer your day too.
05:02Tis the season for some football. While last year's NFL Christmas Day lineup and Queen Bee's epic
05:09halftime performance still live rent-free in our head, we're gearing up for another festive game day.
05:15Netflix is streaming both the one o'clock game between the Cowboys and Commanders,
05:19and the 4.30 game when the Lions and Vikings will take the field. Then we're spending Christmas
05:24night with the Broncos and Chiefs on Prime Video. And the players are already getting into the holiday
05:29spirit. 49ers QB Brock Purdy and his wife Jenna love a matching sweater moment. While his teammate
05:35Kyle Juszczyk and his wife Kristen let it snow. And Jarvan Dexter's wife and kids have started
05:41decking their halls now that Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelsey agree it's the appropriate time to do so.
05:47I've been a little busy this year. That's why only my wreath is up. But you know what? Bring on Christmas
05:52Day. Dame Judi Dench is handing out free passes. The actress weighed in on her former friend and
05:59disgraced producer Harvey Weinstein, suggesting she believes he's, quote, done his time. Is that her
06:05decision? But her career was championed by Weinstein-produced movies like Shakespeare in
06:09Love. So I guess her loyalty runs deep. She recalled seeing a video of Weinstein, who's serving a
06:14decades-long sentence for sex crimes, walking with mobility aids, and said she thought, well,
06:20what, girl? She claimed she, quote, knew Harvey and knew him well, and had none of that experience
06:25herself, referencing the dozens of allegations against him. Very fortunately for me, she added,
06:30yeah, very fortunately for her. Who knew Pantone's color of the year would be so
06:37shady? Because many of you are saying this is more than a color, it's a statement. So their pick for
06:422026 is basically white, a hue called Cloud Dancer. Per the company, it's a lofty white neutral that
06:48symbolizes calm and peace and a noisy world. And while some sad beige enthusiasts are probably loving this,
06:54many of you are not, for a variety of reasons. I mean, it is a drastic change from these past choices,
07:01but Pantone's defending Cloud Dancer, with the executive director saying the shade is meant to
07:05signify a blank canvas. And that's attracting a lot of blank stares.
07:11Now it's the sit down with Erin and Ben Napier. Happy holidays, you two. There's a new season of
07:17Hometown coming in 2026. What is something you're hoping you would take away from this upcoming season?
07:22This season was challenging. Really huge projects. I mean, the first two episodes are one house.
07:29It was so big, we had to get permission from HGTV to spread it across two episodes. So that alone
07:36is massive. The theme of this season is you can do hard things.
07:42Yes, we can do hard things, can't we? Yes. Let's do a lightning round, Napier edition. What is one
07:49easy way for people on a low budget to style their space? Okay, can I, I'll tell you one thing. I have
07:53a beautiful, not beautiful, kind of boring, very comfortable, massive sofa that was my mom's. I had
08:00it reupholstered in like a beige oatmeal color, but I wrap it in a Suzani quilt that's super colorful
08:10without having to paint the room. You can just add color that way. What is something your parents did
08:14that you would grumble about that you now find yourself doing? Oh gosh. Everything. Literally
08:20everything. Literally everything. They were right. Don't roller skate in the house. I kind of want to
08:26plead the fifth here because I don't want to tell on myself. Yeah, I think I'm going to plead the fifth
08:31and just say everything. If you had to pick a word or mantra for 2025, what is it? And what word or
08:38mantra are you going to channel for 2026? No, the 2025 is when we did the doing. Yeah. That was the
08:44we can do our things year. We went to Scotland. Yes. That was a big fear for me, crossing the ocean.
08:51We started homeschooling. With children. We started homeschooling. Um, and we're doing it. That's what
08:58every time when we say it, when we say it, people are like, oh, did you hire a tutor? And we're like, no,
09:03we're the tutors. Life feels like it's moving so fast. What are some non-negotiables for your family
09:08that help you slow the time down? Is that even possible? Homeschooling is a, it's not a non-negotiable.
09:16It's what we're trying this year. Um, but they are, they've never had devices. They've never held phones
09:22or tablets or iPads. Um, we're trying to live like it's our childhood again. We let them watch things on
09:30TV, all of us together as a family. We have movie night like every night. It's not like we don't
09:34have TV time. We're watching like the Berenstain Bears. We watched Prancer this week. So, um, living
09:41slower. Okay. To finish, we're going to put 10 seconds on the clock. Tell everyone why they should
09:46tune into hometown in the new year. Ready? Go. This season is going to have some returning customers.
09:53I'm going to cry my eyes out at one reveal. There are two personal projects, one of them very personal.
10:00This looks very different. We got a lot that are very different from anything we've done before.
10:04There you go.
