00:00My debut album came out October 26th. It's my dream album, my dream producer. It's ten
00:10songs that are recorded to tell a story. They're fun to play. It's never gonna get
00:15old playing those songs off that album. Traditional music is what's honest and
00:21true to me. Just like rock or pop or rap or something might be true to another
00:27artist. Traditional country is true to me in that same way you know. I always wanted
00:34to be a musician but I wasn't always, I didn't always want to be a songwriter.
00:40In my endeavors in Nashville actually my first deal was a publishing deal and my
00:45publisher said I'll sign you and we can cut demos and we'll develop your career
00:50but you have to write songs and I'm like okay I'll get paid to write songs. That's
00:55fine you know. I wasn't originally gonna write songs but that's okay and she just
01:00threw me in the fire with all these hit songwriters and it paid off because very
01:04quickly I got the bug of songwriting and I started picking up skills from them
01:10watching them do it and now I wrote all my songs on my album and if I hadn't have
01:15started songwriting I would be a completely different artist and it would
01:19be a completely different scenario.
