00:01Emily embodies the self-made woman of 1969.
00:06She has a lot of swagger, and she's not afraid of being bold.
00:11She's slightly fashion-forward for that time.
00:13She was sort of brought up in an environment
00:16where you had to fight for your life.
00:18She's really trying to protect and care for her younger sister,
00:23but in the process, anyone that gets in her way, she'll kill.
00:28So, really, she's full of love, but is coated in, like, murder paint.
00:33What I love about working with Dakota
00:35is she's able to take all these ideas
00:38and then transform them into this incredible physicality.
00:42And she knows how to take a fringe jacket,
00:44which is a really fun piece of clothing,
00:47but it's not going to be nearly as exciting
00:49unless you move in it the way Dakota does.
00:51That not only expresses her character,
00:53but expresses why someone would be wearing a fringe coat to begin with.
00:56You wear it because you want to feel powerful and exciting.
00:59And when she enters, she is powerful and exciting.
01:02You want to know who that woman is the second you see the fringe coat.
01:08With Billy Lee, we're meeting a man who is addicted to his power,
01:13who has the ability to get people to join his cause.
01:16It's his sex appeal, his sensuality,
01:19and that's what gets people to do what he wants,
01:21because he is seductive.
01:23And so, it was important to create a look for Billy Lee that was sensual,
01:27where the clothes were dripping off of him,
01:29and all the embroidery on his shirt
01:31that suggests the length to which people will go
01:34to pledge their devotion towards him.
01:36Who wants to say,
01:38and we've done a lot of work with Billy Lee.
01:39Look at hit and paste.
01:40And
01:41see,
01:42at this point you have walked through the boublier.
