00:00Fresh trouble has surfaced at the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam.
00:05As vigilance officials report, a silk dupatta scam adding to the series of controversies
00:11following the adulterated laddu issue and the donation box or the hundi theft case.
00:18According to the initial vigilance findings, fake silk dupattas were allegedly supplied
00:23between 2015 and 2025, even though they were billed as genuine silk or silk mix material.
00:31The suspected fraud is estimated at over 54 crore rupees.
00:35Officials say the contractor delivered around 15,000 dupattas, each priced at 1,389 rupees,
00:44claiming they were made of silk.
00:45However, samples sent to the two labs, including the Central Silk Board in Mysuru,
00:51confirmed the material was polyester, not silk.
01:21So, we have a lot of doubt.
01:25We have seen the laddu scam take place.
01:38We have seen the Parakamani scam take place.
01:40Today, there is a dupatta scam that has taken place.
01:43Silk, Vastralu, Pattu Vastralu also, there is a scam that has allegedly taken place.
01:47How do you see the last regime's, you know, vision for what they had?
01:51Do you think is the malice that had intended by them?
01:56First thing, this exploit, there is a, wherever there is money.
02:00In fact, I've been, you see, when I was talking about Thirupati, adulteration of Thirupati laddu,
02:03so I didn't blame a single religion.
02:08I was blaming individuals.
02:10Correct.
02:10Who are these individuals?
02:11If you look at their religion, they're more or less, they're Hindus.
02:15Here, when I'm saying adulteration of Thirupati laddu does not mean I'm targeting other religions.
02:20I'm saying, okay, these are the people who have done this kind of scam.
02:24I say, punish them.
02:25Because to escape that, I think these guys are finding alternatives.
02:29First of all, you put your house in order.
02:33That's what I think Hindus should get into.
02:35Put your house in order before blaming anybody.
