00:13It was first shared by BJP leader and TTT board member Bhanu Prakash Reddy. He alleged this theft
00:18took place under the previous YSI Congress Party's tenure. Then, Andhra Pradesh IT Minister Nara
00:23Lokesh, whose TDP is an ally of the BJP, shared the same footage on X. Both the BJP and the TDP
00:29said this theft was part of a much larger misappropriation of temple funds by the then YSRCP
00:34administration. Reddy alleged that the stolen money was diverted into real estate and part of it was
00:39diverted to former CM Jagan Mohan Reddy's resident, Tadipalli Palace in Guntur. Nara Lokesh doubled down
00:45saying the misappropriation of Lord Venkateshwara's offering was extensive. BJP and the TDP called it
00:51the largest theft in the history of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam's history. They accused former
00:56TDP chairman Bhumana Karunakar Reddy of enabling the scam. Reddy also alleged that Bhumana ran the
01:02Parakamani scam under instruction from then CM Jagan Mohan Reddy. He criticised the previous TDP
01:08board controlled by YSRCP for attempting to settle the case in a lok adalat which legal experts said
01:14could not legally resolve all charges. BJP spokesperson Jay Madhusudan said that settling the
01:20case within six months showed the YSRCP government's undue political influence and disregard for
01:25standard legal processes. However, YSR Congress party rejected the allegations and said,
01:30Assets worth of somewhere around 14.43 crores was handed over to Thirmala Tirupati Devasthanam by the
01:40accused and his family as repentance following all legal procedures. Yet, instead of acknowledging the
01:48facts, the Naidu and Mr. Lokesh are questing the truth to malign YSRCP to slander and defame.
01:58Meanwhile, the Andhra Pradesh High Court transferred the case to the CID directing officials to submit a
02:03sealed cover report within a month.
