00:01What about the land that mom and dad got?
00:03Even though Bryce and I are really grateful for the land,
00:06we see that it's better for us to try to find a home
00:09that's already been built.
00:10So we've gone back to house shopping.
00:12There's a potential house that we have found.
00:15Well, hopefully, y'all get it.
00:16We have to make an offer quick.
00:20And then, can you get a few forks?
00:23Because I don't want to.
00:23Oh, lame.
00:25You got to use chopsticks.
00:27Really?
00:27Yeah.
00:28OK.
00:28This is the Chinese Thanksgiving.
00:30OK.
00:31OK.
00:31Chaps, it's only.
00:32Today is Thanksgiving, but with a twist.
00:35We're doing a Chinese-themed Thanksgiving.
00:39Happy Thanksgiving, everybody.
00:40Happy Thanksgiving.
00:41Obviously, we have one family member
00:43that is not with us tonight.
00:45The animosity between the siblings and Anna,
00:49it's not worth having everyone walk around on eggshells.
00:52Today, I'm spending Thanksgiving with my two kids, Marley and Kruiser.
01:03So we're coming on to the holiday seasons, which is probably the worst,
01:07when you and your family are not on talking terms.
01:10That's all done.
01:12Enough for y'all.
01:14Um, I'm just looking forward to getting the holidays over with
01:18and moving on to the next year.
01:27So here's to a Merry Christmas
01:31and a Happy New Year.
01:34Tonight, we are visiting Macon to see the Christmas lights.
01:46This is not technically Layton's first time seeing Christmas lights,
01:49but it's Layton's first time seeing Christmas lights.
01:51Layton is obviously a whole nother year older
01:55and is more receptive to all the twinkling lights.
02:05I think Layton enjoyed the Christmas lights.
02:07I'm pretty sure she was mesmerized.
02:09I think she definitely enjoyed.
02:11She didn't cry, so we'll take that.
02:13All right, let's go get warm.
02:16Give me some coffee.
02:18Sorry.
02:19It was magical.
02:20But at the same time, it's cold.
02:23It's Christmas.
02:24It's cold.
02:24So we have to definitely get warmed up
02:28and enjoy some desserts and coffee.
02:30Hot cocoa?
02:31Yes.
02:33Ah, how cute.
02:34No, I had coffee.
02:37You have hot cocoa?
02:38Black coffee.
02:40She's asleep.
02:41She's getting there.
02:42She'll probably end up falling asleep on the way home.
02:45I think Layton is going to be, I'm into Christmas.
02:47I think it'll be probably her favorite holiday of the year.
02:51I mean, that's my favorite holiday too.
02:53Well, since we're all here tonight,
02:55our little crew trio right here has some big news to share.
02:59Oh, gosh.
02:59Yeah.
03:04Baby number two?
03:05What is it?
03:05No.
03:06No.
03:06No.
03:07Let's not.
03:08Because I was joking, I was pulling you away.
03:10We're not saying no as in meaning.
03:11No.
03:12Oh, that's a hard no.
03:13Same here.
03:14See, Layton says no.
03:15Same here.
03:16Jonah says, to me, it's OK.
03:19So Bryce, what's the big news?
03:21So we finally made it here.
03:25And we finally made it to close on the house.
03:28Awesome.
03:28That's great.
03:29Congratulations.
03:30Good job, guys.
03:31Bryce and I are telling our family that we have officially
03:34brought a home.
03:35They were definitely excited because they know that this
03:38has been a goal of ours since Layton has turned one.
03:40It's a big milestone for us.
03:42And we definitely cannot wait to get fully moved in.
03:45The Ladybug has her own house.
03:47We have a room.
03:48We have a front yard.
03:50We have a backyard.
03:52Nice.
03:53We had all that at Lollie the Bopper's house.
03:54Yes, but I'm saying, like, their own.
03:55Y'all have your own, right.
03:57They're homeowners.
03:58Yay.
03:59And we are extremely excited for both of them and for Layton.
04:05You know, we know that they have worked very hard this past year
04:08in saving and being patient to find that perfect place.
04:14And we're still the fabulous owners of an empty lot.
04:20Show them our little cute keychain.
04:22Ah.
04:23Sellers.
04:24Nice.
04:25And it has a little house, something, our new adventure.
04:28I'm going to say I am super, super, super excited to be able
04:34to finally move out on our own now.
04:37Um, I feel like it's going to be a huge plus, and we're going to have the best life together,
04:45and we're going to see how much we love it.
04:47That's an exciting birthday gift for you, birthday, Christmas.
04:52For the next 30 years.
04:53Thirty years?
04:54Yeah.
04:55I'm good.
04:56Pay off the house.
04:57Yeah.
04:58Yeah, but if that, well, if this is just forever home already, I mean.
05:01It's going to be a home for a long time.
05:03I'm definitely excited for Liz and Bryce and Layton having a home for them,
05:07and it's going to be exciting for them, but it's also going to be a little sad
05:11because it's going to feel weird that they're not at the house,
05:15and then hearing Layton or seeing her in the morning is going to be, yeah.
05:20This year, since it is Christmas, and we normally do a big Christmas pajama photo,
05:26but obviously this year's a little different with family situation,
05:30and I was thinking I had a different idea.
05:33What'd you have in mind?
05:34Mom had an idea.
05:35Yeah.
05:36Oh, my.
05:37Not Dad.
05:38So this year for Christmas photo, I think we should, since we still have a baby,
05:42but she's not, like, a newborn, I think we should do, like, a live nativity.
05:48Oh, that's definitely not Dad's idea.
05:50No.
05:51No.
05:52Amber coming up with this idea of a family nativity scene for a Christmas.
05:56A live nativity scene.
05:59A live family nativity scene because apparently it's going to be the family.
06:03I'm mixed emotions.
06:05Layton could be baby Jesus.
06:07Obviously, you're Mary, you're Joseph.
06:10We have that whole little setup.
06:12You can be an angel.
06:13Oh, yes.
06:15How do you feel about being an angel?
06:17I mean, who doesn't want to be an angel?
06:20Aren't you already one, though?
06:22No.
06:25What he said, I guess not.
06:26You guys are the three wise men.
06:29I'll be the shepherd.
06:30I will be the shepherd.
06:33The one in charge.
06:35And I will have a sti-
06:36A stiffy.
06:37Not a stiff.
06:39That's what you just said.
06:40No.
06:41You just stopped it early.
06:42You just stopped it early.
06:44The wise men ain't going to have that because it's going to be cold outside.
06:49Oh, God.
06:50This stable's already gone to hell.
06:53I didn't hear it called my name out, so I guess I'm-
06:56I said you three are the wise men.
06:58The wise men.
06:59Do y'all know what the wise men brought to the manger?
07:01Yeah.
07:02To the stable?
07:03Yes.
07:04What?
07:05It wasn't to- it was to baby Jesus.
07:06It's to baby Jesus.
07:07What was the three gifts?
07:08Gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
07:09Yes.
07:10It's going to be fine.
07:11You're just going to come out as a wise men, sit your ass or stand your ass in your spot
07:15on mark an egg-
07:16If I was a real wise man, I would be lost that day.
07:19And I figure baby Jesus, you know, obviously she's not going to go for being, like, swaddled.
07:24She's going to be a white-
07:25So she's going to be the, hey, girl, hey, baby Jesus.
07:28White absie.
07:29Walking Jesus.
07:30We'll just-
07:31Where are we doing this at?
07:32Yeah.
07:33Front yard.
07:34At the house.
07:35Oh.
07:36Are we going to have a manger?
07:37Yeah, we gotta-
07:38I mean, a stable.
07:39Yeah, we gotta build it.
07:40Every year, we have taken a Christmas photo together as a family.
07:44Not having Anna in the family photo does-
07:47It hurts.
07:48It does.
07:49It's not joyous at all.
07:50Yeah.
07:51But at the same time, forcing Anna to be in a Christmas photo when she's not speaking
07:54to the family isn't the right thing either.
07:57Something's in the coffin tonight.
07:59No, it's gonna be great.
08:00He's not saying anything.
08:01I mean, I'm fine.
08:02When I get married, I've done everything, marked every possible school scenario off my list
08:08for Ashley.
08:09Nope, I already done that.
08:11So, everybody on board for that?
08:12Because I think that'll be fun.
08:13I don't think we have a choice.
08:14It's not going to be stressful.
08:16It'll be fine.
08:17Yeah.
08:18One more.
08:19Look.
08:20Look what I got.
08:21Not for you.
08:22For me.
08:23Oops.
08:24I know.
08:25Oh.
08:26Get it.
08:27Well, there goes my hat.
08:28So, today I am having a Christmas photo shoot for my social media with my two kids, AKA my
08:37dogs, Farley and Cruiser.
08:38Farley and Cruiser.
08:39And so, I got some costumes for them, and then I got a costume for me, and we're going to take photos.
08:51Oh, I'll put it on your head.
08:52Like a...
08:53Like a...
08:54Like a...
08:55I think the photo shoot is actually going to go pretty well.
08:57They're easy to take photos with.
08:58I have tons of photos with both of them.
09:00All right.
09:01Now, costumes for you guys.
09:02So, my Christmas outfit is, of course, Mrs. Claus.
09:03I'm the cute Mrs. Claus.
09:04I did not want to, you know, do all the gray hairs or anything like that.
09:05Okay.
09:06Cruiser.
09:07This is for you.
09:08Not for Marley.
09:09I know.
09:10You want to chew every costume that there is.
09:12So, I think this is going to fit you.
09:13Okay.
09:14I think the photo shoot is actually going to go pretty well.
09:16They're easy to take photos with.
09:17I have tons of photos with both of them.
09:18All right.
09:19Now, costumes for you guys.
09:20So, my Christmas outfit is, of course, Mrs. Claus.
09:22I'm the cute Mrs. Claus.
09:23I did not want to, you know, do all the gray hairs or anything like that.
09:26Okay.
09:27Cruiser.
09:28This is for you.
09:29Not for Marley.
09:30I know.
09:31You want to chew every costume that there is.
09:33So, I think this is going to fit you.
09:37That's the head.
09:41Put your little feet in.
09:44Put the other feet in.
09:47Oh.
09:48You just bite.
09:49Oh, God, Grace.
09:54You're mean today.
09:55Cruiser's outfit was pretty easy for the most part.
09:58He wanted to bite me a little bit, but it's a simple reindeer.
10:01Reindeers are cute.
10:03So, I just put him in the reindeer outfit.
10:06They're a mean little reindeer.
10:08Which one's that one?
10:09Which one's that one?
10:10You, what's the reindeer?
10:12They're Dasher, Prancer, Common, Cupid, Cupid, Prince.
10:19Dasher, Dancer, Rudolph.
10:23Is there a Cupid or I'm just making that up?
10:27Is there a Cupid?
10:28I think Marley's going to be a reindeer with you.
10:30This one was pretty easy.
10:32So, Cruiser is my first kid.
10:34He is six years old.
10:35And he's more like the loving but can get grumpy one.
10:41How in the world?
10:43You're only 45 pounds.
10:44Now, Marley, on the other hand, she's three years old.
10:47And she's the reason why I stopped getting dogs.
10:493X.
10:51You gave me bigger than that.
10:53She is very energetic and just wants to be where I am for sure.
10:58And, yeah, she listens but doesn't listen at the same time.
11:02There you go.
11:03Got it.
11:04Okay.
11:05No.
11:07Guys, quit.
11:09God, like, we are like kids.
11:11The costumes are hard because you got to put the arms and the legs in.
11:14And, yeah, Marley was not about to do that.
11:18Ha.
11:20I just put a scarf on her and caught it today because she was fighting for her life.
11:25We're taking photos now, okay?
11:29Obviously, Christmas is, like, a little different because, you know, I'm not on speaking terms with the family.
11:33But I'm making the best of it and I will be spending Christmas with my boyfriend, Darius.
11:38Seriously.
11:40Seriously.
11:42So this will be my first year spending Christmas without my family.
11:47Even, like, when I'm moving out and stuff, I would stay the night, Christmas Eve, and wake up still with all of them and have breakfast and open presents.
11:57Mar, come here.
12:00Come here.
12:01Smile.
12:02So, Anna not coming around for the holidays and for the last several months is definitely, you know, not what Trent and I have ever hoped for with our family.
12:17Amber and I do not like to be a separated family.
12:21We do not like to have six on one side and one on the other.
12:24We're a family of seven.
12:25We're supposed to be a family of seven.
12:27It's definitely sad.
12:29Let's see how many photos we have.
12:31Oh, yeah, we have enough.
12:32Oh, yeah, that's enough.
12:33Perfect.
12:34All right.
12:35My social media photo shoot went, I guess, pretty decent.
12:40The photos definitely describe the dogs.
12:43One just doesn't listen and then the other one just is very chill.
12:47Y'all want to go take a nap?
12:49Come on.
12:50Let's go.
12:51Take me home down that old familiar road where it's always warm and bright so much bedded by your side.
13:08You planned.
13:10I got an activity for us tonight.
13:12All right.
13:14What we got?
13:16House planning.
13:18Since we're homeowners now.
13:20So this evening we just laid Layton down for bed and we are going to talk about all the things we want to do to her home.
13:28We have potential carpet, paint colors because you know I love gray.
13:33So with the holidays kind of full in swing and we have a couple of things that we want to do to the home that we've purchased to really make it our own.
13:40We want to get through the chaos of all the holidays coming up and then after that we will just be 100 focused on moving into our home.
13:50We kind of have a semi-ish driveway.
13:55I would definitely say I am super, super, super excited about this new home and being able to finally spend time on our own together with Elizabeth and Layton.
14:11We have the little patio area.
14:15And then that shed of yours.
14:18He's so ready that he's so tired of me adding on all these projects.
14:21I'm like, hey Bryce, we got to do this before we move in.
14:24We really have to do it.
14:25We can do it when we move in there.
14:26We can wait.
14:27We can do it when we get in the house.
14:29No, we need to do it because we got a baby that goes around everywhere.
14:31She can't be near anything, sharp tools, nothing.
14:34Okay.
14:35We can just do it like bathroom or bathroom.
14:37Hold on.
14:38Hold on.
14:39I'm getting this.
14:40I'm getting this.
14:41I'm getting this.
14:42We have a linen closet here and then our room and the bathroom.
14:47What are you forgetting something?
14:49What am I forgetting?
14:50The laundry.
14:52Oh, yeah, the laundry.
14:54You can just put it right here.
14:56We just want to squeeze it.
14:58Laundry room.
14:59My style is pretty much summed up as like modern farmhouse.
15:04All about the shiplap, the whites, the neutrals, the rustic-y designs, but with a little bit of twist.
15:10Okay, so I think a couple of things that we've already agreed on that we want to change is the front porch beams.
15:18We want to build them out with wood, so hand me that stack of wood samples.
15:23Because I went with this more for the color of what I would like our front porch stands to be.
15:27I like that.
15:28I like that for the front porch.
15:29Yeah.
15:30I like this for the main floor.
15:32Neutral.
15:33Mm-hmm.
15:34Elizabeth's style of decorating is kind of similar to mine.
15:38If you look at my parents' house, the way my mom designed it, it would be like a 2.0 version.
15:45Mm-hmm.
15:46Mm-hmm.
15:47It just followed the trends.
15:49Let's look at paint colors.
15:50You know, I want to stick with gray and do the whole house gray.
15:54We are not like super bright, vibrant.
15:57That was like 2005 when everybody had the jewel tones.
16:00Oh, God.
16:01White, no.
16:02Black, no.
16:03I grew up in a red kitchen before.
16:06Why in the world that was popular?
16:09I do not know.
16:10Red.
16:11Red.
16:12I do remember red.
16:13It was back, you remember like the early 2000 Tuscan bull .
16:16Like we were in Italy.
16:17I swear to God, I remember having grape vines above our cabinets for just decorations.
16:21I remember that.
16:22Fruit.
16:23Why was that a thing?
16:25We're just going to look at this pickled okra on that counter.
16:28Pickled okra.
16:29Yeah.
16:30I like this a little bit more because when you look at it together, this one has more
16:38of a darker tone that's more white.
16:40I'll say that in a minute like that.
16:41That.
16:42Okay.
16:43Like that?
16:44That for the whole house.
16:45Yes, I guess.
16:46You guess?
16:47Well, since you guessed.
16:48I'm just kidding.
16:49I agree.
16:50Yes, no, that's fine.
16:51All right, what's this?
16:52For the countertops.
16:53The granite.
16:54Because I, yes, I want to change the countertops to the granite.
16:55I would say I might have a 50-50 chance of getting what I want.
17:09Things I choose she might not like.
17:11So, you know what they all say.
17:14All the men say, do what the women want.
17:18And, yeah, I guess.
17:20For us right now, I was about to say happy wife, happy life.
17:23And then, of course, I'll be charged and decorating.
17:25And you'll get your one deer in the living room.
17:29My feelings about being able to hang one deer head in the house kind of
17:38upsets me a little bit.
17:40One deer only.
17:44Lame.
17:46Hmm.
17:47Maybe one day whenever we get another house with a bigger living room,
17:50she might let me put one more in there.
17:53Oh.
17:54Everything else you put in your shop.
17:56We'll see.
17:58No.
17:59Because we have to make room for our family pictures.
18:02The good thing about deer, though, like, if we have them up in our room,
18:04like, they'll make good Christmas decorations, too.
18:06We can put red noses on them, make them Rudolph.
18:08I knew you were going to say that because you've always wanted to do that.
18:11We're going to make a deal.
18:12You're going to help me buy a big man cave shop.
18:18That's fine.
18:19Just keep your junk out of the house.
18:20Yeah.
18:21That's fine.
18:22I will buy you the biggest pod there is, and you can put everything in there.
18:26Like, I'm even going to put a TV and put some furniture in there to just hang out and
18:30just look at all these nice...
18:31And we'll never see Bryce set foot in our home again.
18:33Decorations.
18:34He must be.
18:35I probably won't.
18:36Like, that might...
18:37I'm kidding.
18:38I'm kidding.
18:39Layton, sorry your dad moved out.
18:41So now since we figured this out, what you have taught to me for a while now is me possibly
18:47staying home with Layton full time for a little while.
18:51That's a plus.
18:52I want you to stay home with her as long as you can.
18:57For you and her, I think it's best, yes, for y'all to stay home.
19:01Well...
19:02You will be okay with that because it's kind of hard for me to swallow because I'm always
19:05used to bringing in my fair share.
19:07Yes.
19:08I'm definitely fine with that.
19:10So for the past year, we've been saving up as much money as we can.
19:14And now since we have officially bought a home, we are kind of revisiting whether or
19:19not I should be a stay-at-home mom.
19:21And it kind of seems like what we're leaning to now.
19:24You're going to be a great stay-at-home mom.
19:27I hope so.
19:28It's going to be a big change for me, but for Layton.
19:33I feel like Elizabeth staying home for a while and taking care of Layton and having this
19:39quality time is a great idea.
19:42Amber and I did it for many, many years with our family.
19:46You cannot get back these years and these moments and these times and these mom and Layton
19:53moments that Elizabeth can have with her.
19:57So I absolutely 100% support it.
20:02Our parents have helped us out a good bit.
20:05We wouldn't have this place without their help.
20:09There's going to be a lot of changes this year with us moving into our new home.
20:15And we are super excited but ready for the challenges that we're about to face.
20:20We'll leave this here.
20:21Maybe show mom and dad later.
20:24Now it's our turn to go to bed.
20:26I'm ready.
20:27Mm-hmm.
20:28Ready to be sleeping in our own bed soon.
20:31Ugh.
20:44So today we are here simply because mom came up with the idea of having a real life nativity scene.
20:51I know a cinema scene is a lot quicker but we're going to do it the old fashioned way.
20:56Okay.
20:57Yeah.
20:58Yeah.
20:59She got all these costumes and all these costumes fit only one person right now.
21:06But that's going to change because Bryce knows how to sew and me and Alex are here to learn.
21:10It might take a little longer but we'll do it and then when we mess up we can just blame it on the fact that we don't have a sewing machine.
21:19Yeah.
21:20I'll be honest.
21:21I've never used a sewing machine to sew anything.
21:25I've always used my hands.
21:27Like that's just how I learned it.
21:28I'm going to cut it at the length y'all want and then I'm going to sew this piece onto it.
21:32How I learned sewing was pretty much whenever I started doing one of my hobbies which is taxidermy.
21:39So I figured I'd you know just teach them how to sew on the clothes.
21:44We need to go ahead and kind of like size it up.
21:47I'll probably end up a little like at his fingers.
21:51Yeah.
21:52Nobody in our house sews.
21:54I don't even.
21:56I can sew on a button.
21:57Don't even.
21:58And I've yet to see because I'm the one that always does it because you hand me the stuff.
22:03I need a button on these pants.
22:05So now that I know that you're going to show me a button buddy.
22:13Sometimes I don't know when to shut up.
22:16So the first knot like it's pretty much like you just tie a knot.
22:19Like a fishing line almost.
22:20Like you know that.
22:21Oh like you wrap it around?
22:22Yeah.
22:23Okay.
22:24But do it like three times.
22:25Don't do it six.
22:26It's going to be hard to get it through the hole.
22:29Yeah.
22:30I don't know how people thread the strings in a tiny hole.
22:35Jeez.
22:36So there's a trick to getting it in the hole.
22:40And you have to use your thumb and your finger.
22:43Because I took home heck one year of my five years of high school.
22:49Boy it's hard boy.
22:51How thin the string is.
22:53Holy .
22:55Instead of trying to do like this.
22:57They never like it when you stab it.
23:02You have to put your thumb and your pointer finger on both sides.
23:08And push it.
23:10Guide it in.
23:11Guide it in.
23:12No it's hard doing it by hand man.
23:14Yeah.
23:15And you can actually wet it.
23:18Yeah.
23:19Well sometimes yeah.
23:20Put a little spit on it.
23:21Wet your fingers.
23:22And um.
23:23No actually a lot of times you gotta wet your fingers.
23:27Thread the needle was a big accomplishment for me.
23:30Yeah exactly.
23:31How did this happen?
23:32There's a knot in my string.
23:34What'd you get Allie for Christmas?
23:38I got her her favorite perfume step and a promise ring.
23:43Oh .
23:44Promise ring.
23:46That's what I got Elizabeth a while back.
23:48So I gave Elizabeth the promise ring going over to your anniversary.
23:53Just showing her how much I love her.
23:55And that I really do want to spend the rest of my life with her.
23:58And I think Emma actually is the one that helped him pick out this one.
24:01And it's pretty much just symbolizes that you would like to be with this person for the rest of your life.
24:06And yeah until you decide to really pop the big question.
24:10What did you get Ashley?
24:11Not a promise ring.
24:12I'm just kidding.
24:13Yeah you probably got her that a while ago now.
24:15I haven't got her.
24:16Oh.
24:17But she doesn't always have the type that would really want something like that.
24:21If that makes sense.
24:22She says she always jokes around like I want the real thing.
24:27I told her you know give it time we'll settle up on the real thing.
24:34There was no such thing as a promise ring back in the day.
24:37Yes there was.
24:38Oh I don't think so.
24:39Okay but you gave me a promise ring for my birthday to like.
24:43No I just gave you a sapphire ring for your birthday.
24:45I just gave you a ring.
24:46It wasn't a promise ring.
24:48Because I knew what you had that you wasn't going anywhere.
24:52I took it as a promise ring so.
24:54I'm sorry Tom.
24:55Alright.
24:56Because I never told you promise.
24:58Because I knew what you had and you wasn't going anywhere.
25:00So.
25:05I'm sorry you thought that was a promise ring.
25:07I was going to say when are you going to upgrade the promise ring to the real thing.
25:11That will be a little while.
25:12No it's not you.
25:13I hope it will be a little while for you.
25:15What are y'all five or six years?
25:17We'll be six years this year.
25:20Man that's me and Ashley.
25:22It's April.
25:23We're October.
25:24Yeah.
25:25So we've almost been dating so many.
25:28I just feel like the pressure weighs more on me when you finally do it.
25:30And then.
25:31Yeah.
25:32Every finger gets pointed at me.
25:33Like I know.
25:34Me and her are moving in together.
25:36Yeah.
25:37Get settled in.
25:38I was planning on getting settled.
25:40You know.
25:41And getting used to the house.
25:44So me and Liz have discussed about getting engaged together.
25:47I plan on getting her promise ring upgraded pretty soon.
25:53Do it like two weeks before deer season.
25:57Cause you know.
25:58That'll give you a pretty good window.
26:00Cause then she'll be a still.
26:02She'll still be in like the joy phase.
26:06And she'll be like yeah you can go out and do whatever.
26:09Yeah.
26:10That's not a bad idea bro.
26:11It's the strategy behind it.
26:12Yeah.
26:13Alright.
26:14Well on that note.
26:15I'm going to cut.
26:16Cut the rest of this.
26:17Yeah.
26:18I'll just cut the rest of this.
26:20And see y'all later.
26:22I'm going to be here until next Christmas doing this.
26:25I might have been on the second sleeve yet.
26:27Well it's Christmas time again.
26:28Let all your good cheer in.
26:29It's Christmas time.
26:30It's Christmas time again.
26:32So it is Christmas time and this year Amber and I promised and made agreements that we would
26:40not buy each other anything because really we're focusing on Leighton.
26:41What did you do?
26:42You like our mistletoe?
26:43Yes.
26:44This is very springy.
26:45Any materialistic gifts.
26:47Right.
26:48We never said we wouldn't give each other anything.
26:49Yeah.
26:50Mistletoe is a fungus.
26:51It does not grow independently in the ground.
26:52It has to grow on another tree.
26:53It's a parasite.
26:54Well I'm not down for science lessons right now.
26:55Horticulture.
26:56Botany.
26:57Botany.
26:58Whatever.
26:59What you down for?
27:00Not botany.
27:01I'm not down for science lessons right now.
27:02Horticulture.
27:03Botany.
27:04Botany.
27:05Whatever.
27:06What you down for?
27:07Not botany.
27:08Not botany.
27:09No.
27:10No.
27:11No.
27:12No.
27:13No.
27:14No.
27:15No.
27:16No.
27:17No.
27:18No.
27:19No.
27:20No.
27:21No.
27:22No.
27:23No.
27:24No.
27:25No.
27:26No.
27:27No.
27:28No.
27:29No.
27:30So I decided to get some mistletoe to put up on the headboard.
27:34Mistletoe typically will lead to a very, very Merry Christmas.
27:42Definitely with it being Christmas and the holidays and headed-
27:48Time flies.
27:49Headed into the New Year, yeah.
27:51What's 2025 going to bring us?
27:53I don't know but 2024 with Ana hasn't been great.
27:57and she said that she would come by and get Christmas.
28:03But she has yet to do so.
28:05It wasn't just like our Christmas gifts, we told us.
28:07Extended family.
28:08Extended family.
28:09We have not seen Anna in five or six months.
28:13She has not been a part of anything that has to do with the family.
28:20And, you know, even down to Christmas gifts,
28:23we sent her a text that said,
28:26hey, you know, we have, as well as extended family,
28:29have Christmas gifts for you here at the house.
28:31And she responds, you know,
28:33I'll be home in a couple days.
28:35I will come by and get them.
28:37Okay, cool.
28:38Well, two weeks went by and we never heard from her.
28:42She's missing an action.
28:43We're missing an action in her life.
28:46I don't.
28:47We can't change that for her.
28:48She has to be willing to want to come around.
28:52Ultimately, the ball is in Anna's court.
28:56We have attempted.
28:57We have attempted and we have attempted and we have attempted.
29:00And it's very evident she does not want a relationship with the family.
29:04To say she doesn't want a relationship with the family is tough to say.
29:07Is that 100% true?
29:08We don't know.
29:09Is that what we're feeling?
29:10We are.
29:11Deep down, I think Anna wants a relationship with the family.
29:14I don't know if she's ready to make the changes, get the help, talk to us.
29:23Take responsibility.
29:24Take responsibility.
29:25I think, you know, how we were talking before when we were down in the field about, like,
29:30trying to try one more time to meet up, to meet with Anna, to figure out what her plan is.
29:43Deep down, it is very upsetting and sad that, like, I had to remove myself from the family for my mental health.
29:54I fully regret not going to Emma and Alex's graduation, like, to this day.
30:00It's my fault for thinking of just myself, and I tend to do that sometimes.
30:05And, you know what, if, like, we can all come together and, you know, be like, that's the past.
30:12It's already happened, you know.
30:13Let's just move forward and not let this happen again, you know, instead of getting mad at one another.
30:20Because then it just gets worse and worse where we're missing family memories together.
30:27I think shortly after the new year, we need to, you know, just maybe meet for coffee at a neutral place.
30:37I'm not saying not men's instance, but...
30:39No, no, no, no.
30:40Just see what her plan is as far as having a relationship.
30:43Or if she just simply wants to have a relationship with the family.
30:47That's what we ask her.
30:48Mm-hmm.
30:49So the last time I had a talk with Anna, it was just me and Anna one-on-one at her home.
30:54I might not have been the best dad in that talk, in that conversation between us.
31:00So we're past due.
31:03We need to talk and see what we can do.
31:07All right, are you ready to go to bed?
31:10I do.
31:11Are we sleeping with that?
31:13I'm not sleeping with it.
31:14I'm sleeping with you.
31:15Or sleeping under it?
31:16Should we just take it down and throw it across the room?
31:19So it don't fall on us tonight.
31:21And somebody thinks they have a tarantula on their face.
31:25I take that thing down and throw it across the room.
31:30They call it mistletoe, so we can mistle it across the room.
31:32Yeah.
31:33Oh, God, it's going to be a great night.
31:36I love you.
31:37I love you.
31:38I love how we grunt.
31:41It takes a lot of work.
31:42Tonight, we are taking our family Christmas photo.
32:10We're walking all the way to Bethlehem to take this photo.
32:15This was overall my mother's idea, and we are all just being good sports and going with it.
32:21Liz.
32:22What?
32:23Is there a, there needs to be another headpiece somewhere around there for me.
32:28Layton is going to be playing baby Jesus.
32:30I'm Mary.
32:31He's Joseph.
32:32Me and Alex are the wise men.
32:42Emma is the angel.
32:45My dad is another wise man, and then my mom is the shepherd.
32:49Oh, my shepherd's staff in the laundry room.
32:53Where is that?
32:54I can't move.
32:55I can't go anywhere.
32:56It's the same place it's been for the last eight years.
32:59Hey.
33:00Jonah, do you have two headpieces on?
33:02Oh.
33:02Oh, dude.
33:03You got two.
33:04That's me.
33:05Do I have this thing on backwards?
33:08Hey, Lolly?
33:12Yeah?
33:12Pretty sure Mary didn't have a chest.
33:16Did you need help?
33:16Oh, bind them babies down.
33:18I'm prepared for this to go completely downhill based off of all of our projects that I've
33:29ever been a part of.
33:33He's a ship.
33:35My hope is that it goes seamlessly.
33:37We all take the picture.
33:38Layton is looking and is smiling and is happy, and we're, and more importantly, my mom is
33:44satisfied with the picture.
33:45All right, well, Daddy-O, you dress late, and I'm not going to be able to dress her because
33:51I'm restricted.
33:52I feel proud of myself for doing all the alterations on the costumes.
33:59There's a little bit of things I could have done better.
34:02I can tell, you know, her dress was a little tight and uncomfortable.
34:06My chest was suffocating.
34:08But, you know, nothing's perfect.
34:11He's kicking my butt up and on his back, which is why?
34:13You should see.
34:15Elizabeth.
34:16Pretty sure Maryam was entirely flat-chested.
34:22Did you purposely make it this tight?
34:25Well...
34:26Yeah, I think we're almost ready for toddler clothes, baby.
34:31Layton's outfit is kind of tight, too.
34:36It's a tight-ish material.
34:37The theme tonight is pretty, like, the outfits are kind of tight, a little snug.
34:41Everybody dressed?
34:42Yes.
34:43Yes, I think so.
34:44All right, come on in here, because we want to make this as seamless as possible.
34:49Dad had a friend that got us a little station set up out there, a little manger and stable.
34:54So when we go out there, everybody kind of take the normal position of the nativity scene.
35:02And I'll set up my phone on the tripod like we normally do, and we're going to do two takes.
35:08But it will be very quick.
35:10We won't even be out there five minutes.
35:12That was cool.
35:13Yes.
35:14I got to go to my garage because I have a little side surprise for y'all.
35:18Oh, great.
35:19Side surprise.
35:20I think when my dad walked outside, my first thought was it was going to be some sort of
35:27problem.
35:37Tonight, we are taking our family Christmas photo.
35:42This year's theme is the nativity scene.
35:45We've got to wait for the family.
35:47All right, hold up right here.
35:48Let's wait.
35:48We're going to surprise everybody.
35:50I reached out to a friend for goat or sheep, but they ended up with a goat because there's
35:57more goats in Georgia than there are sheep.
36:00We have more family coming up.
36:02Y'all make sure you pull it closed.
36:05What in the world?
36:07Oh, my gosh.
36:09Is that a goat?
36:11It's a goat.
36:12Good Lord.
36:13Good Lord.
36:15It's a horse.
36:16It's a little horse.
36:17So when we all head out the front door, I couldn't keep my eyes off this goat that my dad was holding
36:22by a leash.
36:23And, you know, dad, you know, made the Christmas card a little bit more realistic.
36:28We were in Forsyth, but it felt like we were in Bethlehem.
36:31So that was all because of the goat.
36:34How are you going to get this thing to...
36:35She's very sweet.
36:36She's like a pet.
36:38Cute.
36:38I think it's pretty cool seeing this goat.
36:41Like, I think it's cool that dad was able to pull this off.
36:44Oh, is the wings a little scary?
36:45I'm sorry.
36:46She's very sweet.
36:48You know, look, she is soft.
36:50All right, let's get this Christmas card.
36:52Yeah, it's cold.
36:53Done.
36:53Hey, you see the goat?
36:54You see the goat?
36:55Look at the baby.
36:57It's like she was thinking, like, I've never seen...
36:59Are you a cat?
37:00A dog?
37:00Yeah, it's like, what is this?
37:02This don't look familiar.
37:04Let's get this Christmas card done.
37:06All right, y'all get in place in this.
37:07So, yes, this is me.
37:09That's you.
37:10So, Liz, Bryce, and Ladybug will be in there.
37:14Jonah.
37:16Wow.
37:16That, you got to go kind of tight.
37:18I sit?
37:19Um, I don't think you have to sit, but Alex, you'll probably be right here.
37:24You can just put your butt right there.
37:25I'll come in right here.
37:27Oh, God, can I sit?
37:28Where do you want me and the goat?
37:29I can take a knee?
37:31Huh?
37:31I can kneel or stand?
37:33You got to be with the wise men.
37:34Yeah.
37:35Oh, yeah.
37:35Okay.
37:36So, where's the goat going?
37:37Just right here in front of me.
37:39I think so cute.
37:40It's very, very hard when you have such a large group, and then if you add animals into it,
37:45to try to get everybody's face looking, eyes open, everybody doing what they need to be
37:49doing, and the animal doing what it's supposed to be doing.
37:52She's eating hay.
37:53Yeah.
37:54It's fine.
37:55I know.
37:56That's so yummy.
37:57I think the help of the goats and the cats and everybody's costumes distracted Leighton
38:02pretty well.
38:03For the picture, it kind of kept her spirit up, even though she was pretty tired.
38:07Mom, it's not facing forward.
38:09Okay, it's good.
38:10Here.
38:12Yeah, you're going to have to get rid of that.
38:13We have to get rid of the hay bale.
38:14Okay.
38:14Yeah.
38:14Everybody look.
38:15We have to get rid of the hay bale.
38:16It's late.
38:17Everybody look.
38:18It's fine.
38:19You're getting that side of the goat.
38:20Alex, forward, just, yeah, there we go.
38:23Okay.
38:24Best picture.
38:24Everyone.
38:25Ugh.
38:31Okay, one more.
38:32All right, hold up.
38:33Hey.
38:33Oh, wait, wait.
38:33No, they got it.
38:34They got it.
38:34Oh, it's going inside.
38:36Everybody look.
38:39Let everybody look.
38:41All right, we're going to try one more.
38:42I mean, she just wouldn't turn around.
38:44I didn't even try to, like, and she was, like, and I was, like, and then Alex was, like,
38:49trying to.
38:49They're stubborn.
38:50Yeah.
38:50One more to see if we can get the goat to turn around.
38:53Oh, it's looking.
38:54It's facing this way.
38:55Emma, look at the camera.
38:56We're good.
38:57Okay, I got it, Bryce.
38:58Okay.
38:59Look.
39:03All right.

39:04All right, baby.
39:04Good job.
39:05Yeah.
39:05Very good.
39:06Good.
39:06I'm about to tip backwards.
39:07Choosing the nativity scene, it was definitely different, but I think since we had maybe Layton
39:12with us, there was no better time to do it, and I think it was a good year to pick it.
39:18Something different besides the Christmas pajamas.
39:21We could use a little break from those.
39:23Wait.
39:23Hey, wait.
39:24Amber, get one with Layton and the goat.
39:26Oh.
39:27Yeah.
39:27I'll feed you.
39:28Look here.
39:29I feed you.
39:31Ladybug.
39:32Well, that's cute if they're looking at it.
39:34This year, we kind of took it up to another level, and I think it's pretty cool.
39:39And I think I'll never fuss about Christmas pajamas again.
39:42Merry Christmas, everybody.
39:46Merry Christmas.
39:47Merry Christmas.
39:47Merry Christmas.
39:48Merry Christmas.
40:01Next time on 7 Little Joss.
40:04My night.
40:05This evening is our first night staying in our home.
40:10Please do not make a big ol' mess.
40:12I thought it would be a nice surprise to get a bottle of champagne and celebrate.
40:19Yes.
40:19Nice.
40:26Tonight, we are meeting Anna for coffee.
40:31Do you honestly, in your heart, feel like mom and dad still love you?
40:33Yes, and I love you guys.
40:35Is there something we can do with the three of us?
40:37But what we know, I'm trying to figure out, hold on a minute.
40:40I'm just saying.
40:41I can't finish my sentence, and it pisses me off.
40:43At this point, like, what I, like, if it gets through just to an argument, then I just
40:48got to, like, walk away.
40:49God damn it, dude.
40:55Justin.
40:56Nice to meet you.
40:56What can I do for you?
40:57Since me and Elizabeth and Layton are all moved in together,
41:00there is, uh, definitely another big step.
41:04Just looking for some engagement rings.
41:06Okay.
41:07Um.
41:08We got some selections over here.
41:10I didn't think I'd feel so nervous doing this.
41:13That's a nice look there.
41:14Oh, yeah, I like that.
41:15Because it's a, it's a once-in-a-lifetime thing.
41:19Oh, gosh, my heart's racing.
41:20Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
