The Miami Dolphins get flexed thanks to the Cincinnati Bengals! Despite them having a four game winning streak, Tua Tagovailoa hasn't played his best game, is Tua looking sluggish? Tobin makes Leroy throw a tantrum when naming potential replacements to challenge Tua next season.

00:00The Dolphins got flexed.
00:02It's not their fault, though.
00:04The Bengals' fault.
00:06And Joburo.
00:07It's the Dolphins' fault.
00:08It's not the Dolphins' fault.
00:10I'm sorry.
00:10It's one person's fault.
00:12Joburo.
00:13Not Joburo.
00:15Two is not playing well, guys.
00:17What about A-Chan, dude?
00:18A-Chan is great, but it would have been better to do the quarterback battle.
00:23That's the narrative for that Sunday night game.
00:24And plus if the Bengals had beaten Buffalo.
00:27But two is not playing well.
00:29To the point where we asked if they had beaten the Jets
00:33and they started winning four in a row, do we send an appeal?
00:37Do we go and appeal to get our tour back?
00:40I don't know.
00:40I don't think so.
00:42He's not playing.
00:42I don't think he's winning an appeal right now, Vlad.
00:44I don't think so either, even though the team is playing very well.
00:47I think the other hard thing is, you know, this A-C looks like
00:50it's going to be even harder to get in.
00:52Even if they ran the table, it looks like it's going to be hard to get in.
00:54The way that things are shaking out right now.
00:56Because there's a couple of teams that, no lie, Indy might only end up
01:08with nine wins.
01:10They got eight right now.
01:12They might only end up with eight, Vlad saying.
01:15I know.
01:16I know.
01:16Listen, I tried to be nice.
01:18I'm just trying to be nice.
01:20I don't think that team has talent with whoever's playing quarterback.
01:23They can pull one out.
01:24They're going to Seattle.
01:26I know, dude.
01:27Seattle.
01:28Is Seattle the sleeper team?
01:30They're not a sleeper team.
01:31They're not a sleeper.
01:31But you know what I mean.
01:32We just didn't even consider it.
01:35They're not a sleeper team.
01:36They're going to Seattle.
01:38Then they're playing the Niners.
01:39I got to tell you, dude.
01:41And then they got to go play Houston, who beat them already at home.
01:44And they got to play Jacksonville, who beat them on Sunday.
01:46I'm telling you right now, Seattle, when it was the Kingdome, and then I played when it
01:55was outside, it is brutal.
01:59It is so loud.
02:00Here's the problem.
02:01It's not the Colts that are the issue.
02:04It's that the Texans are coming up right behind them.
02:06They don't have a gauntlet.
02:08They have the Cardinals, the Raiders, and they get to take on the Colts.
02:13So like Houston sitting pretty, they're probably going to get 10 wins.
02:18Uh, I mean, the Dolphins right now, I think are plus yesterday.
02:23I checked.
02:24They were plus 5,000 to make the playoffs.
02:26I don't know if that's gone up after pepper.
02:28I don't know if that's gone after since, but you have, look, the chargers are probably
02:32going to make the playoffs.
02:33So you're going to have two AFC West teams at least where you're going to have two AFC
02:37East teams.
02:39Like the wildcard spots are probably going to go to the chargers and the bills or, you
02:43know, if they can pass them.
02:44And then there's one more.
02:45No, it's three.
02:45So you're going to, it's going to go to the chargers and Texans.
02:49Chargers, Texans, and bills are the ones leading right now.
02:52Right.
02:52Chargers, Texans, and bills, and the division winners.
02:54But here's the problem.
02:55Pittsburgh.
02:56With the Colts team.
02:56With Jacksonville.
02:57The way Jacksonville, and if Indy wins a couple of games, that's the wildcard.
03:03No, Jacksonville got tiebreakers over everybody.
03:05Yeah.
03:05But that's what I'm saying.
03:06They're either going to win the division, but if they're that close, that's going to
03:09be the other, the wildcard is going to be the wildcards for sure is likely going to
03:13have the bills.
03:15They're probably going to, they'll probably, I mean, I guess the AFC is not over yet, but
03:20if they don't, then the Patriots are probably going to be in there.
03:22And then you have the, uh, you have the Texans who can either win the South and then the Jags
03:29are out or vice versa.
03:31So you can have two South teams or you could have, um, or you can have the West.
03:35If somehow Kansas city is a miracle, even though they seem like they're cooked, but they got
03:40the same record as the dolphins right now.
03:41Like, I don't know if the, I don't know.
03:43It just seems like very, it's a hairy situation for them to, to get in dude.
03:48Even, even if they ran the table, which is going to be asking a lot, Kim, can we, let's
03:55look at this in a totally different way.
04:01If the dolphins end up winning nine or 10 games with two are playing the way that he's
04:14played this year, but the offensive line and defensive line who we thought was going to
04:22be a, was going to be a weakness when the season started have now been a strength.
04:29How are we going to feel about everybody going into next year?
04:34Not great.
04:34Because my problem is, is that.
04:39Oh, but the first year Mike McDaniel has started slow, right?
04:47Uh, the first two years, he did not start slow.
04:49The first two years they, he faded at the end.
04:51Yeah.
04:52They had, but they had like losing streaks in the midst one because two got hurt.
04:55Right.
04:56And the other one, they faded.
04:56So, so how do we like, I've told you how, what I think is going on with two.
05:02And I don't think it has, it's easy to put it on.
05:07Oh, he's wearing down or whatever.
05:10That's not what that is.
05:11I'm telling you firsthand.
05:13It's not what it is.
05:15Um, all, every other season, we have talked about the things that he was doing in the
05:24off season to better prepare him for the season.
05:27And this year he was on a boat drinking beers.
05:29Yep.
05:30Okay.
05:32And, and, and I'm going to tell you that physically he may look bigger, but he doesn't look fitter.
05:43He looks, you know, Oh, I don't think he looks, you know, I don't think he looks like, I don't
05:50think it's noticeable one way or the other, how it looks.
05:52Oh, it is by the way he's playing and how sluggish he looks.
05:56He came in last year, super thin, which I thought, but listen, last year he moved better
06:02and he got banged up, but he moved around better.
06:06And then everybody was talking about he's too little.
06:09No, dude, you got to be able to move.
06:11Swole Tua was the best Tua.
06:13No.
06:13Two years ago.
06:14There's a difference in being swole Tua.
06:19And I just had a six pack Tua.
06:21Beer belly Tua.
06:22No, that's, I'm telling you, he, he just needs to, to find, you know, find his way a
06:32little bit.
06:32So instead of a BBL, he needs a BBT.
06:37Big belly.
06:38Big, no, absolutely not.
06:40Absolutely, absolutely not.
06:42He, but, but it, look, contrary to probably if you do spend your first couple of years trying
06:48to figure out what's your optimum body weight or when you can perform and be healthy,
06:52and take the, the, the hits and stuff like that, he's gone to extremes and, and he just
06:59looks sluggish.
07:00He just looks kind of like, I'm too big.
07:03I'm not able to move.
07:05So I think next year he's going to find that he's going to be on the team.
07:10So you might as well, you might as well.
07:13What if the coach, what if he's like, what if him?
07:15And let's say Mike McDaniel is back, right?
07:18Mm-hmm.
07:18Okay.
07:19Mm-hmm.
07:20You're Mike McDaniel.
07:21Yep.
07:22This was your guy.
07:23The only person that can make that decision of putting somebody else in.
07:28Right.
07:28I believe it's Mike McDaniel.
07:30Well, that's my question.
07:30If you're Mike McDaniel.
07:31If he does it, if he does it and he moves on, the guy he replaces him with better be damn
07:36good.
07:36He better be damn good.
07:37He better be damn good.
07:38But if he does it, everybody else, nobody else will have a problem.
07:44But if he also, but like if you were Mike McDaniel and you had this year where you very
07:48clearly went away from him, like you were tired of the turnovers, you became a running
07:52team.
07:52He seems to like this.
07:53You've always said this is what he's built off of, right?
07:55He was a running guy, running game guy.
07:57So he's finally in his wheelhouse.
07:58Yeah.
07:59And you feel like you got a guy and a quarterback here.
08:02Might be.
08:03Might be.
08:03Mm-hmm.
08:04And you're like, would you trust your Dolphins tenure?
08:09Because that's what it's going to come down to.
08:11Would you trust on to a bouncing back, which is basically what got you the gig or trying
08:16something else because you feel like, look, I'm going to be the Dolphins coach this year.
08:21There's upcoming next year.
08:22Right.
08:23Do I believe my long-term future as Dolphins coach is with Tua at quarterback or do I need
08:31to find a different solution so that the owner believes that I will be the long-term solution?
08:37And that's what I would say.
08:41I would say that if there's one person that has to identify whether Tua is going to be
08:53okay or not next year, it has to be Mike McDaniel because he's the one that's gone to bat for him
08:59more than anybody.
09:00That being said, if you change and you say, I'm going to make a different, I'm going to
09:08go in a different direction and not play Tua after that investment and then it doesn't
09:15work, your ass is out of here even more so.
09:19You understand what I'm saying?
09:20So the pressure of all of this is not necessarily on Tua, but it's more on Mike McDaniel because
09:32if he decides to go in another direction, how many quarterbacks are out there that can throw
09:40the ball with timing and throw the ball with accuracy, even though Tua hasn't done it this
09:45year?
09:48Let's not make, see, the problem I have with all this is we're making it sound like.
09:53I'm trying to think who would be out there.
09:54We're trying, we're making it sound like we could just go get another guy.
09:58And there's 20 quarterbacks on the league and 32 teams.
10:03So you figure it out.
10:05Kyler Murray.
10:06Dude.
10:07See what I mean?
10:08And this, this is why we can't have this conversation.
10:10Why not, dude?
10:11You think Kyler Murray's the answer?
10:13I don't know if he's the answer.
10:14I'm just saying, is he better?
10:15So you rather just, let's just take a stab at it.
10:17Is he a better answer than Tua?
10:19No, you can't just take a stab at this.
10:22If your job is on, see, your job isn't on the line.
10:25Well, no, that's not, well, this is going to happen in a meeting, right?
10:28Kyler Murray's never been an accurate guy.
10:30I understand.
10:31But you're going to be in a meeting and they're not, there's not going to be perfect answers.
10:35You're going to have to take some guys.
10:37If, if that's the case, I believe that Mike McDaniel say, I'll just roll with Tua.
10:44Okay, hold on one second.
10:45I'm telling you, man, like, this is why I hate these conversations.
10:49Because you just start mentioning names and that's not a solution.
10:53Well, it's a solution.
10:55I don't know if it's a good solution.
10:56You know what I mean?
10:57Stop.
10:59Just stop.
11:00Geno Smith.
11:02Yo, come on, man.
11:03Go to break.
11:03What?
11:04Go to break.
11:04I'm not doing this.
11:06I'm looking at realistic options.
11:07No, you're not.
11:08Did you not say that would be available?
11:10When was the last time accuracy and Geno Smith were mentioned in the same sentence?
11:14Three years ago.
11:15Time on.
11:16COVID.
11:16Do you know who's leading the league in interceptions?
11:18Geno Smith.
11:19Tua and Geno Smith.
11:21Okay, so no.
11:22That's a no?
11:24Again, you see what you're doing.
11:25Go ahead.
11:26Name some guys.
11:27Mack Jones.
11:29You got to trade for him.
11:30I'm going to sit by.
11:31You got to trade for him.
11:32I don't know why you're getting mad at me.
11:33I can't.
11:33You know I'm not allowed to say Aaron Rodgers?
11:38Aaron Rodgers.
11:38He's got to.
11:39He's got to.
11:40He's got to.
11:40He's got to.
11:40He's got to.
11:40He's got to.
11:40He's got to.
11:40He's got to.
11:41He's got to.
11:41He's got to.
11:42He's got to.
11:42He's got to.
11:43He's got to.
11:43He's got to.
11:43He's got to.
11:43He's got to.
11:43He's got to.
11:44He's got to.
11:44He's got to.
11:44He's got to.
11:44He's got to.
11:44He's got to.
11:45He's got to.
11:45He's got to.
11:46He's got to.
11:46He's got to.
11:47He's got to.
11:47He's got to.
11:48He's got to.
11:48He's got to.
11:49He's got to.
