00:04Bruno Falsi, our correspondent in the Chinese capital, has the details.
00:11Greetings colleagues at Telesur and all the audience watching us in this transmission.
00:16I am in Beijing now to report on you an incident that reflects the growing tensions between China
00:22and Japan. During routine exercise in the Saturday, December 6,
00:28in the Eastern-South China Sea, Chinese aircraft deployed from an aircraft carrier were accused
00:36by Japan of targeting its fighter jets. With a radar, Beijing rejected the accusation, stating that
00:45the exercises were conducted within legal limits and that the Japanese aircraft had interferes
00:53with the Chinese maneuvers. The incident underscores China's preparedness to counter provocation
01:02and reinforce its security in the region. The episodes come at a time of escalating tensions
01:09between Tokyo and Beijing. Recent Japanese statements regarding possible interventions in Taiwan,
01:17recognized by the United Nations as part of China, exacerbate the situation. China reaffirms its
01:25commitment to regional stability, but warns that will not tolerate acts that threaten its sovereignty
01:34or strategic interests. With these news from here, Beijing, we return with you in the studios in La Habana, Cuba.
