00:20The Office of the Ombudsman may be able to file new cases before the Sandigan Bayan this week, still in connection with the issue of allegedly anomalous flood control projects in the country.
00:31We will see. There are some cases that are up for filing that may reach the Sandigan Bayan this week.

01:04Clavana explained that in these cases, not all the evidence is the same. Some are stronger than others.
01:10He added that it is difficult to provide an exact timeline, especially because the cases must be fully studied.
01:15This comes after the deadline given by Ombudsman Jesus Crispin Romulia, who said that there is a possibility that a big fish could be jailed before the year ends.

01:30It's a deadline that he imposed on himself so that we have to balance kasi yung speed, saka yung quality, saka due diligence.
01:39So it's possible na merong iba na malalabasan ng warrant of arrest, pero hindi pa muna lahat dahil kailangan po tayo dumaan sa tamang proseso.
01:49In connection with this, the Department of Justice has been deputized by the Office of the Ombudsman for the conduct of preliminary investigation.
01:56From there, the DOJ will make a recommendation on what the resolution the Office of the Ombudsman may adopt.
02:02Regarding the case spelled before the Digo City Regional Trial Court, Clavana said it will be transmitted to the designated specialized court appointed by the Supreme Court for the blood control scandal, the one who will issue the warrant of arrest.
02:14Meanwhile, in line with the observance of International Anti-Corruption Day, the Office of the Ombudsman held the 2025 National Corruption Summit.
02:23Here, Ombudsman Rimulya emphasized that the fight against corruption is no longer just the fight over one office, but the entire nation.
02:30According to Rimulya, it must not stop in accountability as this is mandatory.
02:35He said reforms are necessary and that the system that allowed corruption must be addressed.
02:39We must move past asking who is at fault and demand what must change, because without reform, the same abuses will continue under new names and under new faces.
03:01Accountability corrects the past, but reform secures the future.
03:07Amongst the strategies the agency plans to implement by February is the creation of an Office of the Ombudsman Marshal.
03:17These marshals shall serve as cyber warrants, secure evidence, enforce orders, protect our investigators, and ensure that no one interferes with the work of justice.
03:30He said that to implement this, they aim to establish strong coordination with the PNP, DOJ, DND, DICT, AMLAC, and Sandigan Bayan.
