00:51Aside from the anti-dynasty bill, Marcos also prioritizes the following proposed measures.
00:56The Independent People's Commission Act, the Partylist System Reform Act, and the Citizens' Access and Disclosure of Expenditures for National Accountability, or CADENA Act.
01:06All four proposed measures in one way or another would theoretically promote reform in Philippine politics and governance.
01:12The Independent People's Commission Act, for instance, would institutionalize the Independent Commission for Infrastructure, an ad-hoc body created by Marcos to review a decade's worth of government infrastructure projects.
01:24Present at the Legislative Executive Development Advisory Council meeting on Tuesday, December 9, were Senate President Tito Soto, House Speaker Boji D, presidential son and House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos, and other congressional leaders.
01:37Like the Marcoses, Soto and D also have relatives in elected posts in government.
01:42Advocates have long pushed for the passage of an anti-dynasty bill, but it has been difficult for the proposed legislation to hurdle Congress, an institution dominated by politicians who come from dynasties themselves.

02:58But when he faced the commission created by his own father, Marcos asked that his testimony be held in private.
03:04His counsel, Michel Lazaro, said his client sought an executive session so he could speak as candidly as possible, hinting that he might disclose critical information.
03:12After the session, Marcos told the media he was giving ICI full authority to release the video of his testimony if it would not compromise the probe.
03:21The media asks for the video the following week, Tuesday, December 9.
03:25In a message to reporters, ICI Chairperson Andres Reyes declines to release the video, saying a written authority is required.

04:31The movie stars Leonardo DiCaprio as a washed-up revolutionary who springs into action when his daughter's life is in danger.
04:38The Warner Bros. film will compete in the Best Movie Musical or Comedy category against Marty Supreme and Bugonia, among others.
04:45For the Best Actor, Musical, or Comedy category, DiCaprio will go up against five-time Golden Globe winner George Clooney,
04:52who stars in Jay Kelly, and Timothee Chalamet, who is gunning for his first with Marty Supreme.
04:58Meanwhile, Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, and Tessa Thompson are all nominated for Best Actress Drama category.
