Ombudsman mulls own marshal unit to implement orders

01:00Crowdsourcing is no longer noise.
01:03It is now an evidence gathering tool.
01:08Six, we are creating the Office of the Ombudsman Marshal.
01:12A long overdue reform.
01:15These marshals shall serve as cyber warrants, secure evidence, enforce orders with our investigators, and ensure that no one interferes with the work of justice.
01:28With the PNP, the DOJ, the DND, the DICT, and the AMLA, and the Sandinian Bayam, we aim to build a firm, seamless partnership in enforcement.
01:43And with our civil society organizations, we seek not mere support, but sharp research, independent analysis, and investigative insights that will assist in the creation of this office.
01:57The Ombudsman Marshal will be our modern enforcement bar for size, disciplined, and unafraid, built to confront corruption at the level it operates today.
02:12Seventh, and for me, one of the greatest signs of hope, young Filipinos are returning to public service.
02:21More than 500 young lawyers, engineers, CPA lawyers, have applied to join us.
02:29They are not joining for salary or prestige.
02:32They want to fix the system they inherited.
02:37To CHED, Commission of Higher Education, our universities, youth groups, civil society, and the private sector,
02:45continue to nurture these minds.
02:53Each integrity daily, the future of integrity in government, is standing at our doorstep.
03:00Eager, angry, idealistic, and ready.
03:06Ladies and gentlemen, let me end with this.
03:08The presence of every sector here, the Constitutional Fiscal Autonomic Group, government agencies, academe, development partners, civil society, and private sector,
03:21tells us a new national story.
03:26Corruption is no longer tolerated, ignored, or shrugged off.
03:30It is confronted, systematically, collectively, and fearlessly, and we will not return to the old normal.
03:41That 2025 be remembered as a year we turned public anger into public purpose.
03:48That year digitalization became our backbone.
03:52That year transparency became non-negotiable.
03:55That year public interest finally outweighed private profit.
04:02That year the Muslim became a shield and not a weapon.
04:08And that year the next generation chose to stand with us.
