01:32Now today we're in Ohio where the top 8 drivers will battle it out once again.

01:54We are here at Dragway 42, located in West Salem, Ohio.
02:00This is our first time here.
02:02It is a very beautiful facility.
02:03This track opened its doors in 1957 and it is just an hour south of Cleveland.
02:09We're a lot closer to sea level, which is a huge change after spending a few weeks in the mountains and even in Vegas.
02:15It's also cooler than the temperatures we've been dealing with.
02:18Lower elevation and cooler temps means the engines can breathe easier and produce more horsepower.
02:23Every driver will have to make big adjustments to what they've been doing.
02:26Right now, Kai Kelly is still sitting number one in points, but last week he went out in the very first round, which means he gained no points whatsoever,
02:35which allowed other drivers to make up some ground.
02:38Here's how it works.
02:39If you win the grade 8, you get 10 points.
02:41Plus, you also get $10,000.
02:44If you runner-up, you get 7, and if you make it to the semifinals, you will get 3.
02:48Those points go towards an individual championship that will be worth $100,000 at the end of the season.

05:40I've never even raced Nate, so honestly, I'm kind of excited to see where we stack up against
05:45each other because we're so close in points, so it should be a pretty even matchup as long
05:49as both cars make the trip.

16:25Usually, when that happens, the housing's bent.
16:28So, in Colorado, we had added compression to the engine and changed the stator.
16:32So, we just ran the same stuff in Vegas.
16:35Coming here, the air's a lot better.
16:37So, we're going back to our old setup.
16:39And, for some reason, the car keeps knocking the rear gear out every race.
16:42This axle should just slide right out.
16:44So, that's usually a sign something's binding up.

23:23this is a chance for everybody else to make up some ground all right so take advantage of that

24:44it's gonna be a hell of a run i have a lot of respect for him i love sean but we're gonna try
24:49and do our best to beat him like we're gonna go on to the next round it's our turn to take one and
24:53come up in points i mean just to be real we get past sean this might be our night what land did we get

34:33get an opportunity off of it and it didn't work because he was telling me my was too low and i was
34:38like dude yours is lower than mine see y'all got to argue it was lower so i won what would you have
34:45done if his big ass would have grabbed a whole ticket he might have kicked my ass but he didn't know
34:50i would have dropped her to my next day you would have gave him a fight oh yeah brother boy's money

35:04the third day it's always rough for me that's that's what we're around mallory a lot you know

35:23and he's hauling ass so you know i'm a little tired but i really want to kick his ass i'm ready
35:29i'm ready for anything i don't know my car was making a really killer run we looked on the race
35:33pack it looks killer so minus the fact of it you know backfiring and uh freaking big ball of fire
35:41you know we're not quite sure why do what it did it could happen when it gets cold temperatures like
35:47this we place the rocker and the push rod in that side we decided to leave the hood scoop off in case
35:53it decides to happen again in the finals the car is running good so we feel good about it hopefully
35:57we fix the issue and we're going to go up there for the final and hopefully kick some ass trying

36:15different uh we're racing lizzie unfortunately last time we raced her she drove out of my life
36:20and lizzie music gets the win wow it was really close and then she locked it up and she just started
36:32kind of pulling away man i was like oh no it was pretty humbling uh in the car i felt like we were
36:40on a pretty decent pass but wasn't the greatest error for pro chargers uh it was a little bit
36:46favorable for the nitrous stuff but lizzie's fast she goes to a lot of finals she wins a lot of races
36:51and it's just like anybody else in the grade 8 we can't underestimate her she's going to go out
36:55there and pat is going to do anything he's got to do to win this race and we're going to try to do
37:00anything we can for them not to win it all right folks here we go this will be the last race of the
37:07night this is your grade 8 finals
37:10over in the left lane backing up that nitrous powered camaro
37:29that is lizzie music she is going up against none other than murder nova murder nova over in the
37:37right lane this race right here for ten thousand dollars and very important points towards that

38:28something you know some sort of a magic tune that that's going down and it's going down fast you

38:47and we're winning races you know couldn't be happier this is this is what we strive for every
38:53time we work on the car every time we make a pass on the car every time we spend money on the car
38:58this is what we do it for uh it's been a long time since we've had this winning feeling and uh
39:03we love it you know and we're not going to sleep until we get an invitation to win
39:08so tell me about the grade 8 is it pretty fun

39:55quick light i was ready for it uh i'm not real sure she was so i let go of the button i knew i left
40:01out before her car 60-footed like we told it to and we made a hell of a pass i could see her for a
40:07little bit and then all of a sudden she fell back and we took the wind light yeah i got blinded by the
40:12light when i did it all right it happened i know i don't know what's causing it but it's crazy
40:21wow yeah i know yeah i'll leave that up to them good job sean you see your crew's a class act
40:29okay at the end of the night sean was able to win yet another great eight event that is two in a row
40:39plus he took out kai kelly in round one which made us to where he could not extend his leap
40:44that landed him fourth on the leaderboard and there's plenty of races left for him to catch up
40:49next time this is the great eight sean you've won two great eights in a row man kai's been struggling
41:01a little bit on fridays he's going to struggle we need to capitalize on it we actually broke the
41:05transmission so we have an hour to put a new transmission in the car i think we can change
41:10the tranny in an hour i just got to worry about murder novo on his little killing spree he's doing
41:14because he keeps winning every weekend he's going to catch at this point we have to get points every
41:21grade eight if we're going to catch kai
