01:32Now today we're in Ohio where the top 8 drivers will battle it out once again.

01:54We are here at Dragway 42, located in West Salem, Ohio.
02:00This is our first time here.
02:02It is a very beautiful facility.
02:03This track opened its doors in 1957 and it is just an hour south of Cleveland.
02:09We're a lot closer to sea level, which is a huge change after spending a few weeks in the mountains and even in Vegas.
02:15It's also cooler than the temperatures we've been dealing with.
02:18Lower elevation and cooler temps means the engines can breathe easier and produce more horsepower.
02:23Every driver will have to make big adjustments to what they've been doing.
02:26Right now, Kai Kelly is still sitting number one in points, but last week he went out in the very first round, which means he gained no points whatsoever,
02:35which allowed other drivers to make up some ground.
02:38Here's how it works.
02:39If you win the grade 8, you get 10 points.
02:41Plus, you also get $10,000.
02:44If you runner-up, you get 7, and if you make it to the semifinals, you will get 3.
02:48Those points go towards an individual championship that will be worth $100,000 at the end of the season.

05:40I've never even raced Nate, so honestly, I'm kind of excited to see where we stack up against
05:45each other because we're so close in points, so it should be a pretty even matchup as long
05:49as both cars make the trip.

16:28So in Colorado, we had added compression to the engine and changed the stator.
16:32So we just ran the same stuff in Vegas.
16:36Coming here, the air's a lot better.
16:37So we're going back to our old setup.
16:39And for some reason, the car keeps knocking the rear gear out every race.
16:42This axle should just slide right out.
16:44So that's usually a sign something's binding up.

28:19good second round I end up drawing Kayla feeling a little sick today normally a third day after
28:34chemo is my worst day but I'm making it and getting in this car and do my thing I think we tweaked a
28:39little bit enough we took some rear stair out of the car kind of maybe hopefully it'll straighten it out
28:44on the past so we feel good about it hopefully we fixed the issue and hopefully kick some ass

29:42the track is going to be killer at this point she does very well on a good track so we got to be on
29:53our game
30:05all right folks here we go this will be the last pair of the semi-finals for the grade eight
30:22over in the left lane that is going to be lizzie musy lizzie musy going up against kayla morton in the
30:30right lane nitrous in the left pro charger in the right who will move on to face murder nova
30:48and lizzie musy gets their
31:18first turns on the wind light so your grade eight finals will be murder nova versus lizzie musy for
31:25ten thousand times after my burnout backing up i hear the car it's like it's just off knocking
31:33a little bit it and my dad's like it's a rock arm loose and i was like i know i hear it i hear it
31:37he's like just just run it just run it i'm like okay all right it's either gonna not make it all the
31:41way or it's gonna make it just right at the finish line so uh as i'm getting ready to stage the light
31:46turns green let go of the button car is trucking down i'm like oh my god it's gonna freaking make
31:50it let's do this you know and all of a sudden right before the finish line this freaking big-ass ball plane
31:55sends my hood scoop up into orbit like not a good situation um yeah i end up i couldn't see the
32:02scoreboard honestly but like after like the whole explosion thing i got sidetracked of that kayla she was
32:08like right next to me she was kind of close coming in i think she got a little loose on that run but
32:14uh i didn't know if i won or not to be honest with you my guys had to tell me on top end like holy
32:20okay let's go i heard it i was like that i know that's mean i ain't heard it sounds so bad
32:26i'm surprised it made it that far me too i said oh we're home right i thought it was gonna make it right
32:31after the finish line but it did it without the rocker arm being in place it'll be all out of sync so
32:37it definitely throws the motor off and yeah timing everything just that's what you get that big ball

33:04uh first and foremost lizzie musy you find yourself here in the finals for ten thousand dollars
33:11and it's your first grade eight finals of the season so great job there uh but i have bad news
33:17you're going up against murder nova who is trying to make it two in a row for grade eight wins
33:23pretty bad as you know he won last week in las vegas grade eight finals ten thousand dollars
33:29we're gonna flip a coin for lane choice are you gonna let lizzie call it absolutely okay it's only
33:34the right thing to do lizzie call it in the air heads is the call it is
33:40heads i actually changed it up this time look at that lizzie it is your lane uh left lane
33:46left lane is the call good luck y'all go ahead get suited up let's go racing all right

34:00half and then uh decided to protest the the height of my bender oh for real that ain't three inches
34:08well i don't have to tell you they measured it when they came and teched the car nobody measured that
34:13dude i can put three fingers under mine and i can put three fingers under yours you cannot put three
34:17fingers under yours dude i want to look at it i wish i'd have been involved now i'd have won that
34:22one i could have won that race i think i could have won that race oh yeah no we won and we won fair
34:28and square and we won by a lot so they found a technicality and they were trying to you know
34:34get an opportunity off of it and it didn't work because he was telling me my was too low and
34:38i was like dude yours is lower than mine see y'all got to argue it was lower so i won what would you
34:45have done if his big ass would have grabbed a whole ticket he might have kicked my ass but he didn't
34:50know what his jaw hurt the next day you would have gave him a fight oh yeah brother boy's money that's what
34:54i was hoping how are you uh i feel like i'm having a little rough time right now the third day it's
35:05always rough for me that's that's what we're around mallory a lot you know and she's always like she
35:11always says the third day is the day i don't want to get out of it yeah it's weird like hits me like
35:15a break train like that's what she said every run i'm like i have to go like lay down because it's bad
35:20got sean bertanova in the finals he won the last grade eight and he's hauling ass so you know i'm
35:25a little tired but i really want to kick his ass i'm right i'm ready for anything i don't know my car
35:30was making a really killer run we looked on the race pack it looks killer so minus the fact of it
35:36you know backfiring and uh freaking big ball of fire you know we're not quite sure why do what it did
35:44it could happen when it gets cold temperatures like this we place the rocker and the push rod in that
35:50side we decided to leave the hood scoop off in case it decides to happen again in the finals the
35:55car is running good so we feel good about it hopefully we fix the issue and we're going to go
35:59up there for the final and hopefully kick some ass trying trying the best i can yeah no you're killing
36:05it you're killing it so you're calling ass too well you're running really good we'll see we'll see last
36:11time you drove out of my life so we'll see we'll see if it's any different uh we're racing lizzie
36:17unfortunately last time we raced her she drove out of my life
36:25and lizzie music gets the win wow it was really close and then she locked it up and she just
36:32started kind of pulling away man i was like oh no it was pretty humbling uh in the car i felt like we
36:39were on a pretty decent pass but wasn't the greatest error for pro chargers uh it was a little bit
36:45favorable for the nitrous stuff but lizzie's fast she goes to a lot of finals she wins a lot of races
36:51and it's just like anybody else in the grade eight we can't underestimate her she's going to go out
36:55there and pat is going to do anything he's got to do to win this race and we're going to try to do
37:00anything we can for them not to win it all right folks here we go this will be the last race of the
37:07night this is your grade eight finals
37:19over in the left lane backing up that nitrous powered camaro that is lizzie musy she is going up
37:33against none other than murder nova murder nova over in the right lane this race right here for ten
37:40thousand dollars and very important points towards that individual championship
37:54two times in the the grade eight and two wins you know the
38:24cars rolling we have uh we've stumbled upon something you know some sort of a magic tune
38:30that that's going down and it's going down fast you know and the track is taking it two in a row dog
38:36you like an old hat at this damn damn good job good job good job car's working well motors producing
38:46all the power and we're winning races you know couldn't be happier this is this is what we strive for
38:53every time we work on the car every time we make a pass on the car every time we spend money on the
38:58car this is what we do it for uh it's been a long time since we've had this winning feeling and uh
39:04we love it you know and we're not going to sleep until we get an invitation to win
39:09so tell me about the grenade is it pretty fun man i mean good job thank you good job good job proud of
39:18you oh dude thank you hey but you guys know i couldn't have done it without y'all you know that
39:23hey man did you help each other that's the way i look at it huh did you even have a chance to see

39:45boom so thank you uh i went in really fast she lit the top bulbs i went in with the other two she
39:53was purging her car it was a really quick light i was ready for it uh i'm not real sure she was so
39:59i let go of the button i knew i left out before her car 60-footed like we told it to and we made a
40:05hell of a pass i could see her for a little bit and then all of a sudden she fell back and we took the
40:10wind light yeah i got blinded by the light all right i know i don't know what's causing it but
40:20it's crazy yeah i know yeah i'll leave that up to them good job sean your crew's a class act okay
40:32at the end of the night sean was able to win yet another great eight event that is two in a row plus
40:39he took out kai kelly in round one which made it so where he could not extend his leap that landed
40:45him fourth on the leaderboard and there's plenty of races left for him to catch up next time
40:55this is the great eight sean you've won two great eights in a row man kai's been struggling a little
41:01bit on fridays he's gonna struggle we need to capitalize on it we actually broke the transmission
41:06so we have an hour to put a new transmission in the car i think we can change the tranny in an hour
41:11i just got to worry about murder novo on his little killing spree he's doing because he keeps winning
41:15every weekend he's gonna catch me at this point we have to get points every grade eight if we're gonna
