Lil Uzi Vert 'Suicide Cult' Controversy Explained | Hollywoodlife
Transcript
00:00Lil Uzi Vert is apparently facing backlash for promoting a suicide cult and we have all the
00:06details. Plus, Azalea Banks is feuding with Elon Musk because of course she is.
00:14Hey guys, it's Ali for Hollywood Life starting with Azalea Banks who if you're not familiar
00:18with her already, well too bad because unboxing her would take us like three videos to do so
00:23try your best to follow along. Anyway, she recently revealed on an Instagram rant that
00:28she was at Elon Musk's estate in LA in order to finish a song with his girlfriend Grimes.
00:33So far so good. Banks alleges Grimes ignored her for days while she was staying with them
00:38and described the ordeal as a real life version of Get Out. Azalea claims Elon was tweeting on
00:44Acid and she believed the real purpose of her trip was for her to be in some weird threesome.
00:49Azalea also claims she overheard one of Elon's phone calls and says that he was scrounging
00:54for investors and that she could run his $71 billion company Tesla better than he could.
01:00The only thing Azalea can run is her mouth. She's a great artist but lord help me. I'm
01:04surprised your VH1 hasn't given her a reality show yet. Anyway, Azalea's Insta rant continued
01:10and she apparently said some more outrageous things about Musk. Shocker. However, Elon apparently
01:15spoke with Gizmodo and claims he never met or communicated with Azalea in any way. This
01:21is the most bizarre story ever. On to something lighter. Not really. Recall Lil Uzi has been
01:27facing backlash after telling fans they were going to hell.
01:30Obviously, all y'all motherfuckers are going to hell right with me. So let's get it. Oh,
01:36you already here. I'm so sorry. You can't get out. You're stuck. It's over. You heard the
01:41songs a million times and you didn't even know. That's but I still love you anyway though.
01:46Well, Lil Uzi is now pissing off more people after revealing the artwork for a potential new
01:52project called Eternal Atake. The cover apparently resembles the logo for Heaven's Gate, which
01:57was a cult in the 70s led by Marshall Applewhite. On top of this, Uzi apparently had an image
02:02of Marshall as his profile picture on Instagram. Essentially, Marshall told his followers they
02:07had to follow a strict set of rules before killing themselves so their spirits could be taken
02:12by spaceships. But wait, things get weirder if that's even possible. But apparently members are
02:18still associated with the cult and have threatened Uzi with legal action. Page Six reports members
02:24were pissed Uzi wasn't abiding to copyright laws and they claim he had no right to steal their artwork.
02:30In another statement sent to Genius, members claim that they would be threatening legal action
02:34against Uzi, which might explain him taking the images down. This is pretty wild, but I need to hear
02:41your thoughts. So sound off in the comments below and click right up here to subscribe and hit that
02:45bell button if you want more weird stories like this. Also, make sure you download our Hollywood
