00:00In this context, New York City's elected Major, Soran Mamdani, has vowed to protect the rights of the metropolis

00:06more than 3 million immigrants, sharing useful information to be aware of during ICE raids.

00:13In a post on his ex-account, Mamdani stressed,

00:16ICE cannot enter into private spaces like your home, school or private area or your workplace

00:22without a judicial warrant signed by a judge.

00:25The Major-elected added, sometimes ICE will show you paperwork and tell you that they have the right to arrest you.

00:32That is false. ICE is legally allowed to lie to you, but you have the right to remain silent.

00:38Mamdani ended his message assuring that New York will always welcome immigrants,

00:43adding that he will fight each and every day to protect, support and celebrate our immigrant brothers and sisters.
