03:38So I don't know about you, but I've amassed so many baubles over the years.

03:47And instead of buying new, I thought we could just upcycle some old ones.

04:57So we're going to do a bit of bauble pimping, right, using a bit of acrylic paint.

05:09So we have a beautiful kind of flocked look to this.

05:14Give yourself a nice big squirt of paint.
05:18Now, all I want you to do is get your paintbrush.

05:21And we're just going to paint a layer of acrylic paint on your bauble.
05:25All the way over it?

05:27How did you get into crafting, Sarah?
05:29You know, my mum used to do loads of this when I was little.
05:32I just developed a love for it.
05:33And then I made it my life and started a business in the industry when I was at university.
05:39So always done a little bit of crafting.
05:41Right.
05:42Now, keep it quite thin, right?
05:45Yes, OK, perfect.
05:45Now, I'm going to get a nice spoonful of flour, but the trick is we're going to take it through the sieve.
05:50And then all we do is pop the flour over the top.
05:55Is that the same?
05:56Right?
05:57Now, when the paint dries, it will have stuck to the paint, and then we're going to dust off the excess flour.
06:03OK.
06:04So you won't see the flour.
06:06All you'll see is a lovely flocked effect.
06:09As soon as you started cascading that, I could see a wonderful life just playing over in my mind.

06:27Because we need to leave this to dry, I've just got a box, and I've got a couple of little skewers in the top of the box, so that it'll just hold it while it dries.
06:38Then after the paint dries, we'll be able to use a nice big brush and dust off the flour, and you'll just get that lovely red flocked effect.

07:46And it just doesn't feel like work, because I absolutely love what I do.

07:50My mum was a nurse and dad was a teacher.
07:52And I remember when I started working in wine shops, they were kind of like, you're doing what?
07:56And they didn't really drink wine.
07:57I mean, now they're absolutely luscious, of course.
07:59But it's true, if you do what you love.

08:04It's just always been something I've enjoyed so much.

09:50Well, what we're going to do is we're going to marble some of these plain boring white baubles.

10:05to sit on the surface.

10:15The trick is you want to go quite fast so that the colours merge together.

13:01And actually, at that point, you can always just bring your hands and just rub off the excess.

20:18I do a lot of sign language and then when I first started, yeah, when I first started
20:23learning the Deaf Club that I went to, we were just signing Christmas songs like carols.

23:45I like to craft up everything and I thought I'd make a little cream cheese Christmas tree
23:50just to keep Scarlet Nolly going all day.
23:52Now, it's got a bit of cling film and I'm just going to roll that out.
23:57You can use any cream cheese you want.
23:59This is just a regular cream cheese.
24:01And I'm going to pop that in the middle and then just fashion it into a bit of a tree.
24:07And then I'm just going to pop that in the freezer just for 10 minutes.
24:14You want it to be long enough that it firms up, but not so long that it loses its texture.
24:19And then while that's chilling, I'm just going to cut a bit of dill up that we can wrap our tree in.
24:38Right, I'm just going to roll my tree in the dill.
24:41And then that will just sit on display.
24:58Looks great, doesn't it?
24:59And we'll put a few little baubles on the tree.
25:02And then I'm just going to add a few little crackers now.

35:16So around about, I'd say about a third of an inch.
35:24And then on the bottoms, I'm just going to slice them off like this.
35:29To make a bit of a crescent shape.
35:31So, you want a large in first, then a medium coming the other way.
35:40And then right in the middle, you want a cutie little small one.
35:45And I'm just layering them round each other to form that lovely little rose shape.
35:50Then, once you've got your oranges in like a rose shape, I'm just going to top them up just with water straight out the tap.
36:04They'll pop in the freezer.
36:06And they should freeze perfect.
36:09And I mean, they look brilliant.
36:23And all I'm going to do, these silicon moulds are ideal.
