The filmmaker gives an update on the possibility of a 'Kill Bill' sequel.
Transcript
00:00I think it's just, um, revisiting the characters 20 years later.
00:06Quentin Tarantino has the perfect actor in mind to play the bride's daughter if Kill Bill 3 ever happens.
00:12While appearing this week on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast,
00:15the director discussed a potential sequel to his blockbuster two-part action film.
00:19Of the hypothetical film, the Oscar-winning director says
00:22just imagining the bride and her daughter Bebe having 20 years of peace.
00:26Then that piece is shattered.
00:27And now, like, um, the bride and her daughter, bride and Bebe are on the run.
00:33Tarantino also already has a special casting in mind when it comes to casting the bride's daughter.
00:38Just the idea of being able to cast Uma and cast her daughter Maya in the thing would be f***ing exciting.
00:44Tarantino already has a working relationship with Thurman's real-life daughter Maya Hawke.
00:49The 22-year-old had a role in the filmmakers Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
00:52as one of the Manson family followers.
00:54Tarantino has made it clear he's going to retire after making his tenth film,
00:59which many have assumed to mean he's going to make just one more.
01:02But a potential Kill Bill sequel could provide a loophole and an extra movie for fans.
01:07As he made clear yet again during the Rogan interview,
01:10the director counts Kill Bill 1 and 2 as one film.
01:13But a third could also be considered part of that same saga,
01:17which means it technically wouldn't count as his separate final film.
01:20Elsewhere, Tarantino added that he plans to continue writing for various projects during his retirement.
01:26I hope to do two more books and a play, and then we'll see what we are.
