00:12The Old Town Road and Panini rapper spoke to the anchor about knowing he was gay growing up.

00:20What were you praying for?
00:22That it was like a phase.
00:25The star added that his new level of fame gave him an advantage when publicly coming out.
00:29Me being in this position, like, it's easy for me, but, like, some little boy 10 miles from here,
00:39it's not gonna be good for him.
00:41Lil Nas X publicly came out on Twitter during Pride Month 2019 in a post about his song, Closure.
00:54Hours later, he posted a follow-up tweet to confirm that he came out.
00:57He captioned a photo of his album's artwork that features the colors of a rainbow,
01:01saying that he thought he made it obvious.
