00:00Earlier this year, Paris County Council announced that they were going to close this centre
00:04that exists to support those adults with learning disabilities. They then said that they would keep
00:11the centre but only use 50% of the current building. All this when we know that there's
00:16increased need for supporting those with disabilities in the community and we know
00:21there's a waiting list to use this specific centre. Can I ask you today, Cabinet Secretary,
00:26how are you supporting and funding local authorities to support services for particularly adults
00:33with learning disabilities? How are you supporting them in terms of running centres such as Sylvine

00:43investigate and look into some of the decisions that Paris County Council are making in regards
00:49to this particular centre? What was important was there was a public meeting, the Cabinet member
00:55was clearly there, local elected members and families and people who are affected by this.

01:08actually do engage with the people who are affected by difficult decisions that need to be made to
01:15ensure that they get the right answers in terms of the way forward because it is important that we find
01:23up what actually does suit and work for disabled people and they have to be on the lead. So I hope...
