00:00This total now listed at 54 and a half and a line that's down to three points
00:03as a favorite for the Lions.
00:06Must win situation, Joe, for each one of these teams.
00:08But one team coming in hot and healthy, one team coming in not so hot
00:14and banged up, that's the Lions.
00:17The Lions have a lot of issues here.
00:20And I know, folks, it's easy.
00:22Everyone wants to be like, well, yeah, no, they're going to flip a switch.
00:26And no, they're not.
00:28And the first giant red flag for me, Donnie, was, and, you know, keep in mind,
00:33you think it's easy to replace coordinators every couple of years, Donnie?
00:38Like, you not only lost your OC, but you lost your DC as well, people seem to forget.
00:45And that is why Detroit's defense, Donnie, have you noticed?
00:48They always seem to be playing from behind now.
00:51They've allowed 13 or more first half points in four of their last five games, Donnie.
00:56And you know who they've played?
00:57The Commanders, the Vikings, the Giants, who showed Eagles, Packers, offenses that are not the strong suit.
01:07And yet, I don't think any one of those teams holds a candle offensively to the Cowboys here.
01:13And if they become, if they're down again early in this game, Donnie, they have decided that they're going to try to run the ball more than pass the ball.
01:22Have you noticed that also with Jared Goff and Dan Campbell?
01:25Because he knows his offensive line, very suspect.
01:29And Jared Goff could be a sitting guy.
01:31He doesn't have Amon St.
01:33Brown anymore.
01:34He doesn't have Laporte.
01:35They are very limited right now in what they can do offensively.
01:40And like I said a couple of weeks ago, Donnie, how many 80-yard Jamar Gibbs runs are going to bail you out?
01:45How many more does he have in him before teams are like, yeah, that's not going to happen?
01:50And that could very well happen again here tonight.
01:53Yeah, Dallas doesn't have a great secondary.
01:56So if you had Amon Ross St.
01:57Brown available along with Jamison Williams, that's a really good threat where that play-action pass can really kick butt.
02:02And also understand this, Amon Ross St.
02:04Brown is like that safety blanket.
02:06He's open on every single play, and they scheme him open.
02:09He's a fantastic wideout.
02:10He's not there.
02:11So now you have Kennedy in the slot, and to slot on the outside there, it's like, what are we doing?
02:16Then, okay, let's go back to our tight end.
02:18Ross Dwelly?
02:19I mean, there's nothing out there as opposed to Jared Goff has to be perfect.
02:23His wide receivers have to line up.
02:24And if you do have a bad secondary, which Dallas does, you roll coverage to Williams,
02:28and you force two guys that aren't used to beating anybody into beating you,
02:31and then you leave it up to Jameer Gibbs, who's sensational, might be the best back-end football, most explosive.
02:36But if you know the run is coming, you can have eight men in the box.
02:39You can't do that when you have a healthy wide-receiving core for the Detroit Lions.
02:43Let's see what happens on that offensive side tonight, which then puts the quarterbacks for us tonight, Joe, into focus.
02:48If we're looking at the passing props for each one of these guys live, 252.5 for Jared Goff.
02:53Dak Prescott, 269.5.
02:56If I'm looking at those two totals for me, Joe, you understand, like, Dak and the Dallas Cowboys, wonderful wideouts.
03:02He's cooking at quarterback.
03:04He probably gets that because they're M.O.s.
03:06We're going to pass, pass.
03:06We're going to pass some more, and you just can't stop us here.
03:09But from a Detroit perspective, you should look at Jared Goff and say, yeah, high total in this game.
03:13You have to counter.
03:14But I don't see that as a point, Joe.
03:16If Jared Goff throws for 270 in this game, that means Williams went absolutely off or one of those other two wide receivers stepped up.
03:22I look for Jared Goff if Detroit wants to win this game.
03:26I don't think he can go over 252.5, which means that running game really boosted them tonight in their game.
03:33They're going to have to, which I think is also a reason, Donnie, why we're starting to see the under money come in, right?
03:39We're starting to see this was as high as 54.5, Donnie.
03:43And that's okay if you had the full complement of weapons here.
03:47But if Detroit's game plan is, listen, we've got to run the ball, run the ball, run the ball, and maybe take a couple of shots down the field,
03:56the only problem is you're taking on a Dallas defense that the minute they got Quinn and Williams, you know what, Donnie, since he's gotten there,
04:04they're a top five team against the run.
04:07You are not running against the Dallas Cowboys front there.
04:10That's the problem.
04:11And you tried to bring a guy off the couch who retired a year ago, Donnie.
04:18You tried to bring a dude off the couch to come back and help you, and he couldn't pass the physical.
04:24That's the state of the offense right now for Detroit, and I don't think it's going to get any better anytime soon.
04:31And styles make fights, right?
04:33This right now, tonight, this is an issue with the way the style that they play defense, Dallas, and offense.
04:41It's an issue for this Detroit team right now.
