00:00I mean, what people have to remember is that New Orleans has been under an Eric Holder consent

00:04decree where a federal judge basically decimated the New Orleans Police Department. It's why

00:09I had to bring in a whole new troop NOLA to basically get crime under control in New Orleans.

00:15But look, here's the thing. That's why we welcome federal assistance. That's why we asked the

00:21president to send us National Guard troops down to New Orleans and into Louisiana. We need more

00:28boots on the ground in order to get crime under control. And so we welcome our federal partners.

00:34We've seen it work in other parts of the state in New Orleans as well.

00:37And we're going to just lean in even heavier to make our streets safe.
