The Fourth Edition of the Egypt Defence Expo (EDEX 2025) kicked off in Cairo on Monday, turning the Egyptian capital into a global stage for next-generation military equipment and weaponry.
Footage shows the latest defence-industry innovations on display, with pavilions from over 25 countries - including UAE, Russia, China and Turkey.
The Egyptian-based Arab International Optronic showcased 16 new systems at the exhibition, including a fire-control and armoured-vehicle management system and a remote control and engagement system.
"We have been working to enhance our capabilities and localise military industries. We are actively working on technology transfer and collaborating with various companies from France, Spain, and other countries," noted Khaled Mohamed, the company's deputy manager.
The Egypt Defence Expo, held biennially, kicked off at the International Exhibition Centre (EIEC) on Monday. The four-day exhibition is set to conclude on December 4.
