The UAE has turned over 100 schools to Egypt

The UAE has turned over 100 schools with 1,668 classrooms to Egypt on Tuesday, August 4, 2015. The handover event, which took place at the Egyptian Prime Minister, Ebrahim Mahlab’s office on Tuesday, saw Dr Sultan Bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, UAE Minister of State and Chairman of the Coordination Office of the UAE-funded Development Projects in Egypt, signing off on the completed UAE projects along with four Egyptian ministers. The completion of the projects comes on the eve of Egypt’s much anticipated inauguration of the New Suez Canal on Thursday, in which the UAE has also played a significant supporting role.

00:30The school opened at 1.30pm and there were many students, about 120 or more.

00:36We are talking about 100 schools in 18 provinces.

00:40We are talking about 11,000 job opportunities at the national level.

00:45A very large number of students have been saved.

00:49It includes about 1,877 classes.

00:52It accommodates about 75,000 students in different levels of primary and secondary education.

00:59The project has provided many job opportunities,

01:02starting with the companies involved in the project,

01:05starting with the engineers, the supervisors, the workers, the supervisors.

01:09This has created many job opportunities for the youth.

01:12These schools will also take advantage of the summer,

01:15during the seasons, of the mother's day program.

01:18This will benefit the young generation.

01:20Also, when a school is equipped with a large factory or office,

01:24it can solve many problems.

01:26The first problem was that the distance was too far.

01:29The students were at a high level in the school,

01:32so they were forced to move from a distance.

01:37But the school is very close,

01:39so they won't get tired in five minutes.

01:43The school started to be organized,

01:45and the problem of movement was almost solved.

01:48This school is close to my house.

01:51This is my class, and this is my book.

01:53I memorized it.
