00:00Gabungan Rakyat Sabah leaders have rejected claims that Warisan won the popular vote in last Saturday's Sabah state election,
00:08describing it as a failure to understand mathematics.
00:12Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah Vice President Masyong Bana mocked Warisan,
00:17saying the popular vote narrative that it was pushing showed that it could not accept its defeat in the polls.
00:24Parti Bersatu Sabah Vice President Arthur Sen said the idea that Warisan's popular vote win showed it was more popular in Sabah was misleading,
00:34noting that GRS contested only 55 seats while Warisan contested all 73.
00:40Warisan received 288,703 votes, just 2,314 more than GRS's 286,389.
00:50He dismissed the narrative that Warisan was popular throughout Sabah,
00:56pointing out that the party led by former Chief Minister Shafi'i Abdel was defeated in 48 seats while 23 candidates lost their deposits.
01:06Meanwhile, Masyong said it would only mislead Sabah Hans when all parties should respect that GRS had been given the mandate to form the state government.
01:15He said it's an unfair comparison.
01:19They just want to confuse the Rakyat who actually want the new government to get to work.
01:25They should just move on and be a respectable opposition.
