Tommy Lee Jones so hated working with Jim Carrey on 'Batman Forever' that the Oscar-winning actor trembled when he told the comic how much he despised him.

00:00Every once in a while, somebody you really admire hates your goats.

00:06Jim Carrey may have many fans, but don't count Tommy Lee Jones among them.

00:11Jones apparently hated working with the comics so much he actually trembled when he told Carrey how much he despised him.

00:18Carrey discussed the tumultuous relationship when he dropped by Norm Macdonald Live for his episode going up Tuesday.

00:24Jones played Two-Face and Carrey played the Riddler in 1995's Batman Forever.

00:29For Jones, the experience was not a happy one, and he made that crystal clear to Carrey.

00:40The situation came to a head in the middle of production before the two had their biggest scene together

00:45on the Joel Schumacher film, when Carrey randomly popped into the same restaurant that Jones

00:50was having dinner at, he told Macdonald.

00:51I went over and I said, hey Tommy, how you doing? And the blood just drained from his face, Carrey said.

00:58And he got up shaking, and he went to hug me, and he said, I hate you. I really don't like you.

01:03And I said, what's the problem? And pulled up a chair, which probably wasn't smart.

01:07And he said, I cannot sanction your buffoonery.

01:10Your entrance was good.

01:12His was bad.

01:13Macdonald suggested that Jones' dislike probably came from Carrey, who had risen quickly to become

01:18a huge star, being the center of attention no matter the room he entered.

01:21You walk into a room, he's not the center of a chair.

01:24Well, he might have been uncomfortable doing that work, too. That's not really his style of stuff.
