00:00Ben Affleck finally speaks out about all the Batman backlash.
00:04Hi everyone, I'm Brian Corsetti for ENTV, and Variety.com has all the details.
00:11Ben Affleck hit up Jimmy Fallon Monday night and talked for the first time about landing
00:15the role of Batman in the Man of Steel sequel.
00:18It called me up and said, do you want to do this?
00:20And I thought, well, you know, I'm like 25, man, are you sure about this?
00:25I said, come down, I want to show you what we're doing.
00:26Turns out, the studio warned him about the backlash he might get after the announcement,
00:31but Ben wasn't worried.
00:32I'm a big boy.
00:33I don't, this is not, I handle f**k.
00:37Apparently, the Oscar winner's ego wasn't as tough as he thought.
00:40I saw the announcement, I looked at this thing, I looked at the first comment, it's like Ben
00:44Affleck's gonna be Batman.
00:45The first video just goes, no.
00:48Get off the internet, alright?
00:54Affleck's biggest critic may just be his daughter, who questioned his popularity during a recent
00:59conversation they had.
01:01She was like, Dad, what is this?
01:03I was like, that's actually a wax dummy of me, and she was like, really?
01:08Why would anyone care enough about you to make a wax dummy?
01:12New reports have emerged that Affleck will also play Batman in future films in the franchise.
01:17The Man of Steel follow-up is expected to start production in February 2014 with a release
01:21date set for July 17, 2015.
01:24I'm Brian Korstetti.
