00:00I've been Shrecked. I've never done Shrecking. It affects performance. Now back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:12Alright. Crossover time. The fellas, Gibbs and Willard, have joined Guru and myself.
00:20How's everybody doing today? Yeah, doing great. Yeah. Doing great. Fantastic.
00:26Good to have you back, Warren. It's good to see y'all. You had a good Thanksgiving? It was phenomenal.
00:30How was all of yours? Yeah, great.
00:33I had a great one. Everybody said great. I had a great one.
00:35We talked about pounds because I asked the LBSs, how many did you gain over, if any?
00:40And we went around the room. Do you check?
00:42Did you check? I have no idea. Did you do a money? Who got on the scale this morning?
00:46I got on one yesterday. You? No, I did it Friday night.
00:50Okay. Yeah. And? I was about up one.
00:54Okay. Yeah. Alright. For me, that's good. That's fine.
00:57And then if you don't check again, you can just tell yourself.
00:59Yeah. Yeah. Whatever.
01:01No. Did you even own a scale?
01:03I'm not trying to be too crass, but you got to pay me to get me on a scale.
01:08Ooh. Wow. Ooh.
01:09Alright, how much?
01:10Shout out Abundant Life.
01:11Oh, yeah. 15 months of Abundant Life. That was enough to get me on the scale on the regular.
01:15Oh.
01:15I'd probably gain four or five, whatever.
01:17Like one time. Like what if we just did like a cameo version of jumping on a scale?
01:21Not bad. I'd probably be sitting up about six or seven. A clean six or seven.
01:27Okay.
01:27How'd you do, Mark?
01:28With what?
01:29The weight. Did you go up?
01:31Oh.
01:31He never goes up.
01:32He's like Seinfeld.
01:33He's even Steven.
01:36Totally.
01:36It kind of is.
01:37I hate it.
01:38The fluctuation is about three pounds and it goes up and down based on, and I hate doing
01:44this because I know how much this triggers people. If I want to lose, if I wanted to lose three
01:49pounds, we'd do that by Thursday.
01:51I love it.
01:52That just, you said, like that's it. I lucked out that way. That's the way it works. Sorry.
01:58That's why I said, you know, I was stuffed.
02:01There's all different ways you can excel in life and some of the things you get are God
02:08given and you can't control them. And so you try to make the best of what, you know,
02:13what the great one gave you.
02:15Talking about God, right?
02:16Oh, the big boy.
02:17Oh, the big boy. Big boy.
02:19And when you are.
02:19I thought you were talking about Shade Gil, just Alexander for a second.
02:22Oh, no.
02:22Eight o'clock tip.
02:23Anyway.
02:23Oh, God.
02:24You got your. Oh, yeah. I know. You got it.
02:27We asked you about it yesterday.
02:29That's right. If you lived on the East Coast, the sun was going until 145 in the morning.
02:34So I'll be able to stay up for one quarter tonight.
02:36That's about right. Steve Kerr, not a fan either.
02:38And he was talking.
02:39Yeah, we asked him and, you know, he's talked about some of the NBA finals games where you're
02:44playing at Cleveland and those things didn't tip till, you know, 830 or 9, close to that
02:49local time.
02:50So it's not totally unusual, but he was accurately saying, you know, it's the new situation with
02:56our TV partners, our media partners, and this is just the way it's going to go.
03:00Yeah.
03:00This is the cost of having one of the most recognizable stars in the league.
03:06I don't believe that Charlotte has any 8 o'clock games, for example, or the Washington organization.
03:14They probably don't have any 8 o'clockers.
03:15So you're good.
03:16You got the chef.
03:17You play at 8.
03:18That's how it goes.
03:19I will tell you, if you get off work at 6, this does make it a little bit easier to
03:23get in your seat.
03:24You know how they all want you in your seat on time?
03:25Yep.
03:26It's a little easier.
03:27You got about that morning night.
03:28Oh, nice.
03:29You got the hat on.
03:30I was like...
03:30You got the...
03:31Is that a new golf polo?
03:32Yeah.
03:33Where'd you get it?
03:34The team store.
03:35No discounts.
03:36Dibs always ask who rich you up, but I spent my own chicken.
03:39There's a sniff in there, and there had to be some sort of a discount.
03:42No, and I told them, the boss was like, I do this every year with my own money.
03:47Three shirts.
03:48Well, Kate helped me last year.
03:49He didn't help me this one.
03:50That's a nice polo.
03:51Yeah.
03:52I appreciate it.
03:52That looked good on you.
03:53Stoney said, I look like I'm coaching.
03:55You coaching?
03:56You look like you're golfing.
03:57Are you going tonight?
03:58No.
03:58You just wore that just because?
04:00Yeah.
04:00You just wanted to give him some love?
04:01Yeah.
04:01Okay.
04:02Well, is that allowed?
04:03Totally.
04:04Oh, yeah.
04:05Yes.
04:05You won that.
04:06I got the message last week.
04:07Good question.
04:08I got it.
04:09That's a great question.
04:09I got it loud and clear, man.
04:11Yeah, we were just worried about you.
04:14No, I get it.
04:15You don't do that.
04:16Well, I didn't.
04:18Can I just say, I've been in the business 13 years.
04:21Dibs, it's been a while since I've actually not gone as a media member.
04:29Let's bring the audience in to what we're talking about.
04:31Tell people what we're talking about.
04:32We were live down at Laughing Monk and during the crossover.
04:36Miners, Panthers, Monday night.
04:37You were there in cowboy uniform, head to almost toe, I don't know.
04:42And Mark had a difference of opinion as to whether or not you should, could, or will,
04:46or would show up in that gear.
04:48But I misunderstood his point.
04:50You never come down my road for, you hate to see the star.
04:53I mean, I don't like it.
04:54But I wear it.
04:54So I was hurt, like, why is Mark today triggering him?
04:57But you were saying, you have no dog in the fight.
05:01Why are you wearing that?
05:03And Mark, it was the most uncomfortable visit to a sporting event I had.
05:08I felt like I was thirsty.
05:10People, older women, men, your team's not playing.
05:14I'm like, whoa.
05:15And I got it, like, sit this one out.
05:18You're a civilian.
05:19See, but we know you.
05:21But you're walking amongst 60,000 people who, maybe some of them know you.
05:26Half of a minimum.
05:27But a lot of them don't know what you're made of.
05:31And so people in that environment.
05:32They got thick.
05:33Yeah, they're going to take that as.
05:35Disrespect.
05:36You showed up to tick people off.
05:38And I'm with my good friend and his daughter.
05:40And I'm like, this thing could go.
05:43How would you ride if you were at Jerry's World and the Cowboys were playing the Eagles?
05:49Hands could have been put on me.
05:50Hands could have been put on me.
05:51And I showed up in a full Dwight Clark uniform with pads.
05:55With my best friend and his daughter, which she would have had to watch.
05:58It's not getting too dramatic.
06:00Like, it got.
06:01I go, Stiney.
06:02That's what I told Stiney the next day.
06:03That's what he was talking about.
06:05Dude, if you did.
06:06Like, that's the other thing.
06:07Is somewhere tucked in there, there's.
06:10I don't take this part as disrespectful.
06:12But in a way, it's almost like you're trusting that Niner fans are quote unquote soft.
06:19It was a man.
06:20If you did that in Philly.
06:21It was like walking in the wrong hood, man.
06:23There's no way that you wouldn't have gotten that fight.
06:25I saw what Botte and Chapsky had to deal with.
06:27No doubt.
06:30Anyway, yes, he could wear his warrior polo to the Warriors game.
06:32And Stiney, I know I'm talking from Westbrook.
06:34Do I ask him about Shrekie?
06:36Sure.
06:36So I look up to the, on the TV, KTVU, the TV in the studio is on.
06:41My neighbor, I grew up with, Norm's neighbor now, Randy Villazan is on.
06:46Him and three guys.
06:48And they're getting interviewed.
06:49And at the bottom dibs, it says, Shrek'ing while dating.
06:53I go, Stiney, what the hell does that mean?
06:55Shrek'ing.
06:56I know the movie.
06:57So I bring it up and it says, Shrek'ing refers to dating someone you consider below your standards with the assumption that because you're out of the person's league, you'll automatically have the upper hand in the relationship and be unlikely to get hurt.
07:14So I asked Stiney, have you ever Shrek'd or been Shrek'd?
07:17He says he ain't never been, no, I've been the Shrek-y often.
07:21Right, right.
07:21How do you come up with a term for that, dibs?
07:23I don't really know.
07:26I mean, it kind of speaks to me of like Beauty and the Beast.
07:29I don't know if the Shrek dynamic, I don't know if I've ever even seen Shrek.
07:32I've never heard of it till the day.
07:34You're on to something.
07:35Yeah, so in other words, if you are a six and you're dating somebody who's a four, you feel almost untouchable because the four is going to be so happy to be with a six that you as a six can act and comport yourself in a way.
07:48That is wow.
07:49I mean, yeah.
07:50Willard, have you ever Shrek'd or been Shrek'd?
07:52I see you over there thinking.
07:53Yeah, well, I'm texting Christy right now to find out if I'm being Shrek'd at the moment.
07:58I like, no idea.
07:59Also, if you have to ask, you are being Shrek'd.
08:02Yeah, yeah.
08:03Well, I just want to know if I asked her.
08:05I thought, would she know what the hell I even meant?
08:07I've never heard of that.
08:07She's got two teenage daughters, so she might know.
08:10I've never heard of it.
08:11Well, and the other expression that we always use was, you outkicked your coverage.
08:16Sure.
08:17Are you married up or down?
08:18I heard that.
08:19That's the thing.
08:19So you're married up.
08:20What's that mean?
08:21Yeah, people say that as a compliment.
08:23That's just a way of saying like your wife is beautiful without being creepy.
08:27How did you get her?
08:28Exactly.
08:29Exactly.
08:29Right.
08:29So it's supposed to be taken as a lighthearted compliment.
08:33Yes.
08:34You outkicked your coverage.
08:35You're overchicked.
08:37Right.
08:37That's been said.
08:38I've heard that before.
08:39I should change my wife's nickname from Supper to just Shrek because I'm currently being,
08:44I'm the Shrek-y.
08:46Sure.
08:46I mean, it's not even like you.
08:48I think I've been the Shrek-y in nine of my ten real relationships.
08:53That's solid.
08:54Ten relationships?
08:55If you went to high school, I had a high school girlfriend.
08:58How long has it got to go to be real?
09:00You know, Mike Green has to be on the call.
09:03Oh!
09:04And it has to be.
09:05Okay.
09:06It has to be.
09:06That's a hundred.
09:07The first one ever.
09:08It can't just be like, it can't be a single elimination situation.
09:12Okay.
09:12Sensation.
09:13Right.
09:13It's got to be like, Mike Green's on the call for, you know, multiple, thank you.
09:17I'm the best of seven situation.
09:19That's pretty good, Grant.
09:20I'm the one and done.
09:21Oh, Tim, that's great.
09:23Yeah.
09:23I mean, we used to just say, and Seinfeld did something on this, who has hand?
09:28Yeah.
09:29Meaning short for upper hand.
09:30Oh, gotcha.
09:31So who has the hand in the relationship?
09:34And just a great line was Jerry was dating this girl, and he always thought he had hand.
09:40And then she broke up with him, and he goes, what are you doing?
09:44But I have hand.
09:45And she goes, and you're going to need it.
09:48That's a good line.
09:50I always wondered, because your recall of Seinfeld is so uncanny, did you pay attention
09:57the first time, or have you seen all of them multiple times?
10:00Yeah, I've seen them all multiple times.
10:02Your retention of many things is not great, such as golf holes.
10:07Like, I can tell you, the 12th hole at Franklin, he's got no idea.
10:10No chance.
10:11And we could have played it two days earlier, but Seinfeld, it's uncanny how good you are.
10:16That's pretty good.
10:17That Seinfeld and, uh...
10:20Cheers.
10:21No, Scarface.
10:23Well, but there's also...
10:25Midnight run.
10:25There's a short-term, long-term thing.
10:27Yeah, I think there is.
10:28Like, I bet you could think of Larry Bird box scores from 52 years ago.
10:32But you can't remember breakfast.
10:34Correct.
10:35That's wow.
10:36That's absolutely correct.
10:36He skipsed it after getting on the scale.
10:38Yeah, that's pretty good.
10:40Exactly.
10:40Hit him with the Niner question.
10:42You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ FM, and HD1 San Francisco at Odyssey Sports Station.
10:47Always live on the free Odyssey app, and now broadcasting from the Laughing Monk Studios.
10:51What question?
10:52That we started the show with.
10:53With the big boss.
10:54Yeah.
10:55Which was it?
10:56About the Niners.
10:58The theme of the show today.
10:59I kind of forget.
11:00If this were Seinfeld, this would be another episode.
11:03Dam-a-dum-dum.
11:04Why are people not jumping in with both feet?
11:07Yeah, do you feel that?
11:08And we'll get their opinion.
11:10That's normally how it goes.
11:11Oh, I think they are now.
11:13Ross Tucker is.
11:14I feel like that was a hell of a weekend.
11:18That was a hell of a weekend for the Niners.
11:20Man.
11:21I mean, first of all, the Rams with an unsightly loss.
11:26Who thought that?
11:27All of a sudden, you're not human if you're not dreaming a little.
11:31And you're half game back.
11:32You're right there.
11:33And you're a half game behind the Bears who occupy the one seed, and they're going to be here in four weeks.
11:41Sunday night.
11:42It's impossible to not dream.
11:43I don't care if it's rational.
11:46I don't want to.
11:47That's beautiful.
11:47At this point in the year, I don't want to be told what's rational.
11:51How can you not let your mind wander a little bit?
11:55Because the Rams play the Seahawks still.
11:58They're both a half game ahead of you.
12:01You have the potential to have the tiebreaker over both of them.
12:06I mean, it's impossible to not let your mind wander a little bit.
12:10And then, just the way the Niners looked in a, you know.
12:14Brock bounced back in a major way.
12:16It was all set up to be ugly.
12:18Like, I really thought, just from his standpoint, and it didn't happen.
12:22Great performance.
12:24Just a smart, heady, like, have you ever enjoyed throwing?
12:27Toe looked healthy.
12:28He was running left, right.
12:29But have you ever enjoyed throwaways more?
12:32Those were the best throwaways I've ever, like, right?
12:36Yeah, we talked about that yesterday.
12:37Yeah, after three picks, you're like, yes, just throw it away.
12:40This team's back in the school.
12:41Live another day.
12:42Right.
12:43Or putt.
12:44I think he had 21 targets and 27 actual pass attempts,
12:49which tells you that on six of those throws,
12:51they were targeting either the guy in the third row,
12:54or the guy in the chain gang, or the ball boy,
12:56or the guy who holds the K-ball.
12:57You see the targets, and when it's such a clear throwaway,
13:00nobody gets tagged with a target.
13:02And so, yeah, beautiful throwaways.
13:04And, you know, Miles Garrett, I see you coming, Miles.
13:07Not going to get me this time.
13:08Can you imagine?
13:09Can you imagine being that size in life
13:12and just teasing Miles Garrett on the field?
13:16Sorry, bro.
13:17Sorry, had to throw that away.
13:18Like, what kind of moxie do you have to stare at Miles?
13:21I would be so terrified if Miles Garrett was chasing me.
13:25And I flip-flop on this, but I wish he would want out.
13:28Like, he's not going to be in the playoffs.
13:30He's not going to be out in the playoffs anytime soon.
13:32I'm with you.
13:32Someone's stiny that great.
13:34I want to see you play a playoff game.
13:35They were just in a couple years ago, weren't they?
13:37He did want out.
13:38But I'm talking about, well, the Benjamins.
13:41Yeah.
13:41Yeah.
13:41Well, if that's what it was all about, like, then don't.
13:44Could you imagine if he was on the Niners with Bosa?
13:48He's so good.
13:49He's such a good player.
13:50Go ahead.
13:51It's like an NBA player not making the playoffs.
13:53Yeah, it's just that this is all you need to know.
13:56What?
13:56Dibs from the 209.
13:59Stiney, that was George, not Jerry.
14:01Oh, yeah.
14:03There you have it.
14:04Yeah.
14:04Easy to get those two confused.
14:06Yeah.
14:06You know.
14:07Both have dark hair.
14:08I'm so bad.
14:09There's one other thing we were going to ask these guys.
14:11Well, the concern about stopping the run and then running the ball yourself.
14:16But how are you 9-4?
14:17Like, that's crazy.
14:18They run when they need to run, and they stop the run when they need to stop the run.
14:23They're doing enough.
14:23What else is there?
14:24Explain the D.
14:25They're doing enough.
14:27You probably didn't like the stat I asked Evan for yesterday.
14:31He gave you one today, and you both got duked.
14:34You got schnookered.
14:36Oh, yeah, he did.
14:36That was great.
14:37He schnookered you.
14:38I'll tell you the schnooker.
14:39Ask Martin.
14:40We'll see if he was listening.
14:42I wasn't.
14:43Okay.
14:44I did.
14:44But not this.
14:45I didn't hear this.
14:46McCaffrey's averaging 3.5 yards a carry.
14:49And, you know, I got into the, you know, but if he runs twice, it's 3rd and 3 or 3rd.
14:56And Evan comes in like he always does, and he goes, okay, sign you go.
14:59Sign you go.
15:01Where does Christian McCaffrey rank yards per carry of all starting 32 running backs?
15:09This year.
15:10Now, he said.
15:11That's a great question.
15:12And I'm thinking, okay, this is vintage I got you, Evan.
15:16So, I go, Gugu's 14, and I go 12, and he goes.
15:22Let Mark say his guess.
15:23Yeah, what's your guess?
15:24Well, now we get my mind spinning on the setup.
15:28Exactly.
15:29If I just go back to had someone asked me that question two hours ago, I think I would have
15:35been right around where you guys said.
15:37Yeah, I.
15:37Last.
15:38Is he really?
15:39He's last.
15:39Now, that's why we were like, what?
15:41That's why he set us up.
15:43Yeah, and it's a little nuanced because among starters.
15:46Yeah, talk to me about who the starters are because that's changed.
15:48Well, among all qualifying running backs, there are 49 of them.
15:52Okay.
15:53He is 43rd.
15:54So, to the same point, he's near the bottom in yards per attempt, and that includes, you
16:00know, guys who are in job shares.
16:02Maybe you're not the starter.
16:03Right.
16:03And maybe you are the starter, but, yeah, he leads in carries, and he sure doesn't lead
16:09in yards, but you guys actually made a good point earlier.
16:12I think it was you, Stiney, or George Seinfeld.
16:14I get you two confused, but, like, they might run for three, and run for three, and then
16:19they pass for seven, and then they come back, and they run for one, and then they run for
16:23four, and then they pass for six.
16:24Yeah.
16:25So, a lot of times, their runs are functional runs, and that's what I thought in the Cleveland
16:30game, especially.
16:31You just ran it to keep it, and you keep the defense honest.
16:35So, yeah.
16:35I mean, yeah, dibs.
16:36Like, I'm thinking, okay, if you're going to run for three yards, if it's first and ten,
16:43you can live with that.
16:45If you're running for three yards, and you're behind the sticks, it's first and fifteen,
16:49because you had an offsides or an illegal procedure, that's different.
16:54And so, I wonder how many times they're running for only three yards, like, on a third down.
17:00I'll bet most of them are on first and second, obviously, because those are running downs,
17:05but third?
17:07What's wrong with third and five?
17:08Nothing.
17:09And what's wrong with a three-yard gain on third and two?
17:11How many did they convert this past?
17:13Eleven of how many?
17:14Third downs?
17:15Yeah.
17:15Eleven of seventeen, I think.
17:17Especially because, is there any team that can throw that eight-yard pass is better than
17:22the Niners out of the backfield?
17:24Like, when they get third and five, third and six, they get eight or nine yards seemingly
17:27all the time.
17:28To 23.
17:29McCaffrey, turn around, boom, six.
17:30It's like, can we cover him?
17:31Well, I guess not.
17:32I mean, Schefter sent out a tweet this morning that, and I don't know who from the Niners or
17:37Christian's agency or whatever, kind of like, wanted to get his head here, but Schefter
17:42wrote about it.
17:42He's like, Christian McCaffrey is having an historic season, and is completely obviously
17:48on well past pace.
17:48Just by usage, for sure.
17:50For the second time in his career to go thousand-thousand.
17:53Roger Craig.
17:54Right.
17:55Which is unbelievable.
17:56And I think that three and a half yards of carry that you guys are talking about has
18:01totally kind of given Niner fans the blahs about what is an historic season.
18:08Listen, I don't hear a lot of people, because you hear either, boy, they don't run the ball
18:13well, Christian's lost a step, or...
18:16Ross Tucker said that today.
18:17He thinks he lost a step, but he's still fired up about...
18:19But I don't see it.
18:20But he's still really good.
18:21I mean, has Steph Curry lost a step?
18:23You guys do all that.
18:24He's still really good.
18:25Well, the right on the table is the long run.
18:27I think that's what's killing it.
18:28Exactly.
18:29And that's what changes your average.
18:31Like, most running backs do a lot of two- and three-yard carries.
18:35And then you mix in a 25-yarder, and your average is really good.
18:39And when he catches him, I'm like, oh, he's gone so many times, but they tackle him, but...
18:43I mean, he...
18:44And the other thing I hear a lot is people just constantly being concerned about how often
18:48he touches the ball.
18:50So there's this, like...
18:51He's a warrior, man.
18:51There's this inherent, like, negativity or hesitation about Christian this year in the
18:58midst of, like, Dibs, we were talking...
19:01He's an MVP candidate.
19:01Yeah, should he be an MVP candidate?
19:04He's 40-1 to win OPOY, Offensive Player of the Year, and he's not even listed in the
19:09MVP odds.
19:10Yep.
19:10And that's a quarterback award, but Offensive Player of the Year, your odds on favor right
19:14now is JSN, Jacksman, Smith, and Jigba.
19:17Taylor from Indy.
19:18Taylor is second.
19:19So how is he...
19:19And it's a gigantic leap to McCaffrey, who's third.
19:22Wow.
19:22Well, I mean, the thing, McCaffrey has 322 touches this year.
19:28Wow.
19:28The next highest dude is Taylor, with 261.
19:32That's amazing.
19:33That's 61 extra touches.
19:36He's doing two jobs.
19:36That's five extra touches, essentially, a game.
19:40Man, man.
19:40Oh, man.
19:41So, like, he is shattering.
19:44Like, he's going to shatter 400.
19:46And that's value, though.
19:47If he stays healthy.
19:47He's doing...
19:48He's doubling down.
19:49He's doing two jobs.
19:51Yeah, he's had 11 more carries than Taylor.
19:53And to talk about the average, two things stand out.
19:56One, Taylor's long this year is 83.
19:59McCaffrey's is 20.
20:00Ah.
20:00So that right there, in a one-carry scenario...
20:03To Willard's point.
20:03...Taylor gets 63 more yards.
20:05And the other one is, their first touchdown against Cleveland,
20:08McCaffrey goes for two, he goes for zero,
20:11he goes for two, it's a touchdown.
20:13Three carries for four yards.
20:14Doesn't help the average.
20:16Right.
20:16But he got a touchdown, and they went up 7-0.
20:18So, a lot of these stats, you can look at them however you want.
20:21And they also do get at least two a game of a minus three.
20:26They run that toss play that I don't really care for.
20:29And he'll lose three and four at a clip.
20:31That goes on his ledger.
20:33Willard will like this, though.
20:34Doesn't the law of averages say if you're carrying the ball for less yardage,
20:39you're going to need to carry it more to make up for the yardage?
20:44You see what I'm saying?
20:44Like, if somebody's got a five-yard rushing average,
20:48then they're going to get first downs more quickly,
20:51and they're going to score more quickly.
20:53Maybe.
20:54I actually don't know.
20:55That's interesting.
20:56The reason I'm hesitant on the math is because of what Dibbs just said.
20:59Like, if your five-yard per carry average comes three yards,
21:06two yards, one yard, 30 yards.
21:09Well, that's, in theory, you still only got one first down out of that.
21:14Yeah.
21:15Maybe.
21:16And if it was the fourth carry, actually, you had to punt first.
21:19You know what I mean?
21:20No, I absolutely do.
21:21I'd love to find out about it.
21:23I don't know if it means more first downs.
21:25And they throw it to him so much,
21:27and he converts a lot of first downs that way.
21:30Yeah, I mean, I'm just thinking, okay, you get three, you get three.
21:33Then you get five on a pass.
21:35Now you're only at the 31.
21:37You've still got 70 yards to go.
21:39Whereas, you know, Taylor gets three carries to the 36.
21:43And that's only five yards, but over the course of the season.
21:46But could you imagine, before we get out of here,
21:49where this thing could end up?
21:50Because I'm a dreamer.
21:51And for you to say Niner fans should be loving all this
21:55in regard to the possibilities.
21:57The day, I think it was the Arizona game, Warner was on the ground.
21:59I just lost all confidence in the defense because not that the players were bad.
22:05Come on, this is too big of an ass.
22:07But where is this thing going?
22:11Like, if they just qualify, I feel like that's house money, just me.
22:15But now I'm thinking, Robert Sala's got these dudes dibs to where they got an attitude.
22:21Bethune didn't play.
22:22They don't care.
22:23It's just Okawano didn't play.
22:25They don't care.
22:26Here comes Klee Farrell off the street, two sacks.
22:30Like, I'm panicking, but the players aren't.
22:35And they're like, bring whoever on.
22:38Do you guys enjoy the fact, I was listening to the guys this morning,
22:43Shasky was kind of like, it's so interesting to me,
22:46the different perspectives that people can have over the same thing.
22:50And the parody in the NFL right now, Shasky looked at it and he's like,
22:54it's just, there's so many bad teams in the NFL.
22:58And he started, like, listing off the teams that are automatic outs, you know,
23:03New York Giants and New Orleans Saints and all this.
23:05My mind goes to the complete opposite space, which is, I love this.
23:11I love this.
23:12I love the fact that every one of these teams has warts.
23:16And, you know, you said it earlier, Stiney, I agree with this.
23:19What feels daunting in the playoffs for the Niners is the idea of winning three or four in a row.
23:24No doubt.
23:25But in a vacuum, any one matchup, of course they could win.
23:30And the pedigree of Kyle getting ready and Robert Sala for said quarterback on a playoff stage,
23:36they slayed that dragon.
23:38They beat Dallas with Garoppolo trying to throw the game away in Dallas.
23:41Beat Green Bay.
23:42Just, like, that has to mean something.
23:44Nobody's great.
23:45Nobody's great.
23:46The Eagles have just had a complete migraine headache of two weeks.
23:48I think it's 2023 all over.
23:50I could be wrong.
23:51It might be.
23:51The Bears are the one seed and no one thinks they're even one of the top five teams.
23:54Six weeks ago, we're like, the Bears, get out of here.
23:57Like, I mean, the NFC South does what they do.
24:00The Lions aren't even a playoff team as of now.
24:03Right.
24:03Green Bay doesn't scare me.
24:06I mean.
24:07But I guess if you're a, if you're a, what's my guys, not Paul Taglebu, what's my boy's
24:12thing?
24:12Roger Goodell.
24:13You love this, right?
24:14It's wide, the parity.
24:16The AFC is the exact same.
24:17Those are, they got acne.
24:18It's like, you two, among them, a lot of people still think the Chiefs are the best team.
24:22I don't think they're going to make it.
24:24We need to win.
24:24They lose this week.
24:26No, you need all five.
24:28Oh, yeah, no doubt.
24:28You got to run.
24:29I just looked at it.
24:29You got to run it.
24:30You got to run.
24:30Patrick even said it.
24:32I think four gets it done.
24:33I don't know, Stoddy.
24:34We got to win all five.
24:3410 and 7, 10 and 7 isn't going to do it.
24:37I watched that Thanksgiving like as happy as I was, Mark.
24:40I'm like, we're learning a bit.
24:41Mark, you're the king of saying we can't go win-loss, win-loss.
24:44No, I know.
24:45Let me prove it to you.
24:46No, I don't want to hear it.
24:47No.
24:47I don't.
24:48We're in trouble, partner.
24:49I know that.
24:50The Bills, Jags, and Chargers are all 8-4.
24:54They've all beaten the Chiefs.
24:57You're going to tell me those teams are only going to win one more time?
24:59If they win two games, the Chiefs are blocked.
25:03Got to let it play out.
25:04They're blocked.
25:05They're not getting blown out.
25:06They just, what they mastered, they can't win close games.
25:09Willard's right.
25:09It's out of their hands now.
25:11Houston, this Sunday.
25:12Well, if they run the table, it's not out of their hands.
25:15I don't believe it.
25:15If they win five in a row, they'll go.
25:17But that's hard no matter what.
25:18He gave them every opportunity.
25:20They're the only NFL team this year to play seven road games.
25:24Wow.
25:25And this would be the first year in Mahomes' career that they don't win five in a row
25:30if they don't run the table.
25:32Interesting.
25:32By the way, but they might.
25:34So you said, I love it.
25:36They have three hard games left in the wrong home.
25:38I hear you.
25:38Houston's got a D.
25:39Games are hard.
25:40Yeah.
25:41All right, guys.
25:42Have fun tonight at the Warriors game.
25:44Have fun doing a show with Willard.
25:46Playoff.
25:4795-7 the game.
25:50Bye.
