00:00A huge sports day today in the Bay.
00:02Niners get beat by Jacksonville.
00:04Bob Melvin gets fired.
00:06And the Warriors open up training camp with Media Day today.
00:10No Jonathan Kaminga, but they have signed Gary Payton II.
00:13Let's welcome in Mark Willis, Dan Dibley.
00:16It is the crossover.
00:17A lot going on.
00:18What are you guys coming out with today?
00:20Yeah.
00:22Everything.
00:23The frustration of the U.S. Ryder Cup effort.
00:28Well.
00:29I mean.
00:29I turned it on.
00:30Friday and Saturday count too, fellas.
00:33Anyway, that's enough of the golf.
00:34They were cuss words.
00:35I heard them.
00:35Oh, it was pretty fun.
00:36And the Sunday charge, great, but they fell short.
00:38In New York?
00:39They cuss?
00:40No.
00:41These were golfers and caddies.
00:42Yeah, I know.
00:43Cussing at each other.
00:43I know.
00:45Frustration is the word.
00:46I told dibs.
00:47I go, I think today, and it's a big day, and I don't mean this in a Debbie Downer way.
00:51I find today to be one of the most frustrating days that I can remember in recent history
00:56for a Bay Area sports fan.
00:57I find today to be an incredibly sobering day.
01:01And the Warriors are doing their part?
01:05Because I feel like this will be fixed in a day if they go play ball.
01:08It's almost October.
01:09How many days in a row have you felt like it was about to get fixed?
01:12A hundred days in a row.
01:13Look, I don't want to get into the weeds of media day, because I think most fans don't
01:17even know what the hell that is.
01:19And neither are most of their new players.
01:22And so, like, don't get it twisted.
01:24The fact that Steve Kerr is not even speaking at media day.
01:27Man, oh, man.
01:28I think the Warriors are absolutely livid that this situation is still in flux.
01:35Ah, that's interesting.
01:36So, that's number one.
01:38Number two, I'm not frustrated that Bob Melvin got fired.
01:42I'm frustrated at what has led to yet another firing at a leadership position for the Giants.
01:49It's another.
01:50You only needed 84 wins to go to the playoffs.
01:52That, man.
01:53It's ridiculous that you couldn't do that with that roster.
01:56Absolutely ridiculous.
01:57Well, I appreciate the accountability from Buster.
02:00And then don't even get me started.
02:01I mean, no, go ahead and get us started on the 49ers.
02:04We will.
02:05Nothing was good.
02:06But is this life without Bosa on, forget Purdy, on the defensive side?
02:10You better trade for Trey Hendrickson now.
02:12Your play didn't get sacked or touched.
02:15No.
02:15Lawrence.
02:15No, he didn't, yeah.
02:16No hits and no sacks and all the rest of it.
02:20And we'll get into it a little bit more in our show about the defense.
02:22I thought the defense was a lot better than most people are giving them discredit.
02:26Because they gave you the ball, Dibs, to win the game.
02:28They did.
02:29And they came out and held Jacksonville to a couple of three and outs.
02:33And then Brock Purdy immediately throws a pick.
02:35And, you know, the special team's touchdown that you gave up was not on them.
02:39And the kickoff return at the end of the first half that set up the field goal was not on them.
02:44So if you want to say they gave up 26, I think they gave up 16.
02:48And even though they didn't pressure the QB or they didn't intercept a pass for the 11th straight game,
02:54this is going to be the defense you have until they potentially trade for a guy.
02:58By design, it's going to be bend but don't break.
03:01And that's what they did yesterday.
03:03So you're hoping Zissanatti loses to Denver tonight.
03:05Oh, and they will.
03:06Okay, and the bottom falls out.
03:08100%.
03:09For Henderson, yeah.
03:09Like, I mean, Dibs is not wrong that in some way it was amazing that that didn't get worse.
03:16But I'm going to put that much more on Jacksonville.
03:18If that was Stafford and company.
03:20I'm going to put that much more on Jacksonville than giving the 49ers a whole lot of credit.
03:24The bottom line is, if the quarterback does not need his uniform washed, you're screwed.
03:31Oh, man.
03:32You're screwed.
03:33You're going to lose.
03:33On the road.
03:34You're going to lose tons of football games that way.
03:37And you can watch it.
03:38Every time he snapped the ball, it was four people that just went.
03:42Walked into a wall.
03:43And did not do anything about it.
03:47And, in fact, then, they stunted and blitzed less than they had in the other three games,
03:52which was a head-scratcher to me.
03:54But I don't want to act like an expert on how to approach that defensively.
03:58All I know is that pass rush is going to lose you a lot of football games.
04:01So they better do something about it as quick as other people will take their phone call.
04:05They've got to do it.
04:07All right.
04:08He's going to cost a lot of money, right?
04:10No.
04:11It's a one-year deal.
04:12Right, but then he's going to be a stopgap.
04:17Yeah, possibly.
04:18Possibly.
04:19If he comes and he fits and they do well, they could look to keep him
04:23and do other things with the financials going forward.
04:26The big rat on the table brought to you by ADCO is Nick Bosa with a third torn ACL.
04:33And he's coming up on being, what, 29 when he gets healthy?
04:36So if you aren't sure about whether or not he could be healthy,
04:39that might change how much you would want to re-sign a guy you went out and traded for.
04:44So it's expensive because Bosa's expensive.
04:47But first things first, you do have to start getting pressure so that you can actually get an interception.
04:52And poor Fred Warner.
04:54He had a couple of bobble, bobble, juggle, juggles.
04:58And Upton Stout, Mark and I were talking before the show.
05:02He thought it was pass interference.
05:03Yeah.
05:04I mean, if we want to go letter of the law, I do my notes, as you know.
05:08And when there's a call, I usually put a question mark after it.
05:11And that one drew a question mark for me.
05:12It was a little bit of a tuggy-tug.
05:15And for me, that was one that could have gone either way.
05:18And the fact that they finally got a pick and it was pass interference, that was the heartbreaker.
05:23But when you turn it over four times and give up a punt return,
05:26and they almost defied that and won, you don't deserve to win.
05:30No, it's actually, if you do it, this will depress you, so I don't suggest it.
05:35But if you dive into their metrics, it's miraculous they have any wins.
05:40They're coached by Shanahan, and they can't rush the ball.
05:47They're the only team in the whole league that hasn't rushed for a touchdown.
05:50They're averaging less than three and a half a carry.
05:52They're averaging less than 100 a game.
05:54Like, it is unbelievable when you think of you can't rush the ball.
06:00You've had two quarterbacks, two games.
06:02You have key injuries all over the place.
06:06You're introducing yourself to wide receivers in the huddle.
06:08So you add all of that up, and they're three and one.
06:12I don't know how they're three and one.
06:15I don't know how they're three and one.
06:17And that's why I was, you know, last week, I'm like, you got to be on cloud nine.
06:21Because how are they three and oh, but at the same time, you know,
06:25like you have to think that it's likely to get better in terms of health?
06:29Was Brock's performance a byproduct of the toe, or how did you guys process that?
06:34Because he'll tell us that was in the rust, a bad game.
06:36But man, Willard Dibbs, I was just like, I told Stiney and the listeners, like,
06:40if they ran him out there, he was healthy enough, right?
06:43Yes, he's healthy enough.
06:45So, I mean, and we don't...
06:46That's what you guys taught me last week.
06:47And the thing about it is we don't know where Mac Jones was with his knee.
06:50So unless we're going to go full-on Adrian Martinez mode,
06:54then if Brock is good enough to play, he plays.
06:57And if you play, then that's what you put on tape.
07:00And yeah, you had, as a team, four turnovers, and three go to him.
07:04And I know your toe's not feeling great, but them's the breaks.
07:07This is pro football.
07:08And if you play, you play to win the game.
07:12You do.
07:12You don't play to just play it.
07:14No.
07:14Hey, Sports Talk on 95.7 The Game is presented by
07:17Paramount+.
07:18You can't count on much these days,
07:20but you can always count on Sundays with the NFL on CBS and Paramount+.
07:24Watch your local NFL game live every Sunday, all season long.
07:28Visit ParamountPlus.com slash NFL to get started today.
07:32I've forgotten to do that.
07:33Mark, you were saying, yeah, 3-1, all the metrics,
07:36and you look at how they are 3-1,
07:38and they've made the play when it counted,
07:41and that's how they were able to go rabbit out of the hat.
07:44And then yesterday, it was time to make the play,
07:47and Brock Purdy fumbled, and that was night-night.
07:50And you had other chances to make plays that would have kept you closer,
07:53kept you in it, and you just couldn't get it done.
07:55There's a bunch of the plays.
07:57And, yeah, we can go back to, let's say, the Arizona game, right?
08:01Like Marvin Harrison had a chance to make a play.
08:03Yeah, there's no doubt.
08:04And he dropped the ball.
08:05Right.
08:06And so, like, we could do that, and that's been going their way.
08:09And yesterday, sure, there's the Purdy fumble, there's the ETN bust,
08:14there's the special teams bust, there's the fumble by Farrell.
08:21Yeah.
08:22And then there's all the interceptions that the Niners had their hands on
08:25that they couldn't bring in or whatever.
08:27McCaffrey also fumbled, and they got it back.
08:30Hey, McCaffrey's hands.
08:31What's going on?
08:33What the hell's going on with Christian McCaffrey?
08:36Why aren't those on the injury report?
08:38One of the balls was real, Cheech and Chong.
08:39I thought that was high.
08:40This is two weeks in a row.
08:42He can't catch the ball.
08:43He's fumbling the ball.
08:44He wasn't by himself, Willard.
08:46No, of course not.
08:47He dropped a drop of the game to me.
08:48Kendrick Bourne.
08:49He hit a right to death.
08:50He had three drops.
08:51Yeah, but there was one where it was like, you could have kept running.
08:54Well, and that might have been a touchdown.
08:55A house call.
08:56Yep, yep, yep, yep.
08:56I got one for you.
08:58I should have brought this up early in the show because listeners can –
09:02Yeah.
09:02See sometimes.
09:04You guys, were you really locked into the game on TV?
09:06Oh, yeah.
09:07Absolutely.
09:07Okay, so the 49ers are down at the Jacksonville 27.
09:11It was third and three.
09:13I think they pitched wide to McCaffrey.
09:15Yep.
09:15Got nothing.
09:16And now it's fourth and three at the 27.
09:19Trent Williams is getting into like a little something that's off screen.
09:24Yeah.
09:24With a D-back or something.
09:26From their sidelines.
09:26Birdie's looking at the sidelines.
09:28And then they show a replay.
09:31And then right out of the replay, as they're starting to do their fourth and three play,
09:37because they went for it.
09:37Yeah, they went for it.
09:38They show Shanahan, and he was like –
09:42Right.
09:42Like he was mad about something like right before they even were going for it.
09:47And I was like, what was he –
09:49There was something that was really on his mind.
09:51He was talking to the booth like, I just don't understand.
09:54Like something was going on.
09:55I don't know.
09:56At that point.
09:57I don't know.
09:57Do you remember seeing it?
09:58I do, yeah.
09:59It was just a split second.
10:00I watched it again today, and I think –
10:01So did we.
10:01We tried to decipher what was going on.
10:03Part of it might have been the fact that they can't run the ball.
10:07And maybe he wanted to change personnel, but couldn't.
10:10And he'd already – can I say pissed away?
10:13He did.
10:14Timeouts throughout the course of the game.
10:15And a challenge.
10:16And so, right.
10:17Well, that was back-to-back.
10:18Guru thought he might have been like –
10:20Like, come on.
10:21We got –
10:22Or at Purdy, because Purdy was looking at what was going on.
10:25Which must have been he had his back turned.
10:26I don't know.
10:27I just noticed that he didn't –
10:29Something was going on.
10:30We got to say one thing about Kyle.
10:32Bad game for him, too.
10:32No doubt.
10:33Because that was a sequence.
10:34But the Travis Hunter catch, which I thought was play of the game.
10:37But before that, even the announcers got into it.
10:39He declined the penalty.
10:41Yeah, I don't understand this one.
10:43Like, it was confusion city, but I'm like –
10:45I don't understand where –
10:47Like, I would love to know where the refs got their initial incorrect info
10:52that the Niners wanted to accept the penalty.
10:55And then –
10:56Because Kyle said he got wrong intel to accept.
10:58He's like, man, we shouldn't have done that.
11:00No.
11:01Kyle admitted that they accepted it.
11:03That's what they said on the broadcast.
11:04No, he said the officials –
11:05At this halftime.
11:05Yeah, no, I don't think that's correct.
11:07The officials apologized to him, he said, after the game.
11:11The officials apologized to him when he wanted to decline the penalty.
11:15Oh, come on.
11:16And they didn't.
11:17And then once they didn't, when he called timeout to try to get them to,
11:20they told him it was too late.
11:22It was irreversible.
11:24It's kind of like when you make a hotel reservation and then,
11:27I'm sorry, that's not even fun.
11:29They got a touchdown out of that draw.
11:30Yes, they did.
11:31Well, first he burns the timeout, and then the Hunter play,
11:34and he challenges it, which, you know, you challenge it.
11:37Bad challenge.
11:37Bad challenge.
11:38And there's another timeout.
11:39And then they eventually would make it all the way down.
11:41Part of the frustration for me, Mark, is that when you watch Jacksonville,
11:45and I won't get into the Trevor versus Brock conversation again,
11:48that was played out last week, but they, as a team, are not very good.
11:52I had to give it away.
11:53Penalty machine.
11:55And you said it earlier, he caught the kickoff out of bounds.
11:58And that was the first after the Niners score.
12:01I mean, what are you doing?
12:03It was mistake after mistake.
12:05Kick-catch interference.
12:06Another 15.
12:07The guy caught it out of bounds, which cost them 30 yards right there.
12:12And it goes to fourth.
12:13And like, thank you.
12:14Yeah.
12:14Trevor slides out of bounds.
12:16So when you say the Niners didn't deserve to win,
12:19I kind of think that neither team deserved to win.
12:21The Niners outgained them.
12:24And the four turnovers obviously were a huge factor,
12:27but it's not like Jacksonville was completely polished and buttoned up.
12:30They are kind of a mess.
12:32And Travis Hunter, you're not a two-way player, my man.
12:36Put the defense down.
12:38He's not a good corner.
12:40When he's out there, then I, oh, is that number 12?
12:43We're going his way.
12:44I wonder why they weren't putting him on.
12:46If we're going to give the Niners rookies room.
12:49That's pretty tough.
12:49Yeah.
12:50If we're going to give the Niners rookies room to be rookies,
12:52then Travis gets that too.
12:54Wow.
12:54He's a rookie.
12:55Yes, but he's trying to play both ways.
12:57And that's so unheard of in the NFL.
12:59And he probably shouldn't.
13:01That's my opinion.
13:02And I haven't watched every snap of his,
13:05but the defense is telling you what they think.
13:07He played 10 snaps on defense.
13:09Speaking of 10 snaps, Brian Robinson Jr.
13:13Hey, Kyle, here's an idea.
13:15Maybe you'll let him play some football.
13:17It's not like Christian McCaffrey's tearing it up on the ground.
13:21He had 10 snaps.
13:22I don't understand the run game at all.
13:24I don't either.
13:25I don't get it.
13:26How much is on Trent?
13:28Well, everything's on everybody.
13:29344 pounds of the head.
13:31I mean, I think that what they're used to doing is not available to them.
13:37Not available.
13:37And if that is because Trent is not as effective,
13:40it's because George is not there.
13:42It's because the defenses are totally keying on it.
13:45If it's that Christian has lost a half step,
13:48is it because, I don't know,
13:50you've got an injured quarterback out there every day
13:52or an ineffective one or whatever,
13:54and the receivers are introducing themselves and dropping balls
13:58so they don't threaten you over the top.
14:00I mean, all of these things are complimentary.
14:03And I know what people want to focus on.
14:05We want to focus on individuals,
14:06and apparently if you make a lot of money,
14:08you're supposed to put the team on your back by yourself
14:10and go win football games, which is stupid.
14:13Lamar Jackson's 1-3.
14:15Like, you can't do that.
14:16Like, everything sucked yesterday.
14:18I thought that was so frustrating to watch
14:20because almost every play was like,
14:23you sucked again, you sucked again, you sucked again.
14:26Like, every single play looked out of sync on both sides of the ball.
14:30And then had a chance to go win.
14:31And you still had a chance to win.
14:33That's why it's like, yeah, this team is pretty,
14:37it is a head-scratching first four games.
14:39The hook and lateral was pretty fresh.
14:40That was fun.
14:41Yeah.
14:41That was fun.
14:41I gotta be honest, I thought McCaffrey had a burst there
14:44for the people saying he's slow.
14:45I don't see the slowdown.
14:47I don't either.
14:47Okay.
14:48So I thought he's going his way, but then it reminded me,
14:51damn, that's how you gotta give it to him for a house call, you know?
14:54Yeah.
14:55I think when you watch him in pass plays, when he's out and about,
14:58the burst is there.
14:59The burst can't be there when your blockers are getting pushed back
15:02and there's no more.
15:03So you can't burst through a wall of humanity,
15:06and that's what I see on the ground game.
15:08225 on the ground for McCaffrey.
15:11305 in the air.
15:12You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ FM,
15:15and HD1 San Francisco, an Odyssey sports station
15:17in the home of the Warriors and Valkyries.
15:19Always live on the free Odyssey app.
15:21Coming to you live from the Laughing Monk Studios,
15:23Laughing Monk, righteously brewed in San Francisco.
15:27Football is one in the trenches.
15:31That's just the way it is.
15:32I can hear mad now.
15:33Rest in peace.
15:34Football is one in the trenches.
15:36And so, like, everything goes from there.
15:40And so, we can spend all our time, if we want, on Purdy and McCaffrey,
15:48and we can talk about interceptions and all that stuff.
15:51The bottom line is, the Niners need to run the ball,
15:54and the Niners need to rush the passers.
15:56And if you don't do those two things, you are going to lose more games than you.
15:59Either one happened yesterday.
16:00Dibs.
16:02You can't say trenches without Trent.
16:05Yeah, trenches.
16:07Yeah, you can.
16:07Right.
16:08Yeah, really.
16:09It's right there.
16:10No, that's why I didn't use his name, though.
16:12He's a part of this.
16:13He's a part of what I, like.
16:15Pro Football Focus gave him the highest offensive grade for the 49ers.
16:19Awesome.
16:19A lot of people throw rocks at those grades, though.
16:21I'm not shade at P.S.
16:23I'm into mixed bag.
16:23I didn't think he was a turnstile.
16:25No.
16:25I didn't think he was a turnstile.
16:26Again, like, I'm trying to go.
16:28Anybody who you want to bring up, who you're frustrated with, I'll go,
16:32okay, who did you like?
16:34Who did you like yesterday?
16:35Jake Tungis.
16:36I liked the guy.
16:37Who?
16:38Demarcus Robinson with that big catch.
16:40I do like.
16:41Over the middle.
16:42One.
16:42In fact, hold on.
16:43Hold on.
16:44One for 20 yards.
16:45I'm looking forward to his snap count going up.
16:47I'll give you that.
16:47Oh, yeah.
16:48Dibs.
16:49I like him.
16:50Dibs.
16:51I don't know anything about Demarcus Robinson,
16:54but he earned himself five weeks of criticism-free football after that catch.
16:58Five weeks.
16:59Yeah.
17:00Because he's new.
17:00He's new here.
17:01Sure.
17:01Wow.
17:01Yeah, second and ten.
17:03You pick up 20 yards and, you know.
17:05But was yesterday one of the weeks, or did he get five more?
17:09Five more.
17:09Oh, wow.
17:10Because it happened late in the game.
17:10That's fantastic.
17:11Can I put it right on the table?
17:12It was a five, six, seven, eight, nine.
17:14Okay, not until week 10.
17:16I got to call two guys out.
17:17Go.
17:18Because this, to me, was sour grapes.
17:21I didn't like Sala telling my man, I'll end you.
17:25And you had, I get it, what was going on before the game.
17:28Did he actually say that?
17:28He goes, I'll end you.
17:30I hope, like I saw it.
17:31I saw the quotes.
17:33I'll end you.
17:34Please explain.
17:35I don't know what you're talking about.
17:36And David Woodley goes, you don't want to mess with Sala.
17:38He hits the weights.
17:39And I'm like.
17:39Liam Cohen hit Sala with a keep my name out your bleeping mouth.
17:45And then.
17:45And a handshake?
17:47No, there was no handshake.
17:48Oh, no.
17:49But this is the game.
17:50After the game, they're all kind of doing whatever, dapping each other up.
17:53And all of a sudden, here comes Liam from the left side of the camera.
17:56And he wants.
17:56He said it.
17:57He wants Sala.
17:58And he says, you keep.
17:59My name.
17:59Sala goes.
18:00Out your bleeping mouth.
18:01And then other coaches are pushing him back.
18:03Some of the players start laughing.
18:05Because I think they think it's fun when the coaches start yelling at each other.
18:08And then Sala said something back.
18:09I'll end you.
18:11I'll end you.
18:11You don't want any part of this.
18:13I said, Robert.
18:14Do that after a win.
18:16They get different.
18:17He threatened to kill him.
18:18And then everybody.
18:20And then Fred Warner jumping over the top.
18:22Well, whatever.
18:23I'm going to talk to Tim's out of my friend.
18:24Then get down.
18:26If you're going to kneel, then kneel.
18:28I agree.
18:28Don't do a little baby backpedal like tick, tick, tick.
18:31If you're going to do that, now it's going to be a free game.
18:34Oh, man.
18:35And I love it.
18:35And I've always said this, and it'll never happen.
18:37And if I could change one rule, my dream would be no more kneel downs.
18:42If you don't get positive yardage, the clock stops.
18:45They did that in the Arena League.
18:46And they'll never do it with injury, obviously.
18:49But that game, the last two minutes of that game were ceremonial bull schmidt.
18:56Yeah.
18:56Because it was just over.
18:57I was going to do it.
18:59I thought you were going to give me the tiptoe down the sideline quarterback
19:02that you've got to hold up on.
19:04Yeah.
19:04I feel like once you see a tiptoe, then you can take the guy's head off.
19:09Not bad.
19:10You can't tiptoe.
19:10How about this one?
19:11I say keep your time out.
19:13How about this one?
19:14You were talking about a guy I've never heard of who got let off the hook,
19:18Chase Lucas.
19:19Oh, yeah.
19:20I mean, he almost gave up what would have been the game-clinching field goal
19:23because he put him in range with that penalty.
19:27Yeah.
19:27Yep.
19:27Yep.
19:28So, there was a lot of – oh, they were not –
19:31that was one of the worst games they've played in a while.
19:33That's what I'm telling you.
19:34So, does Brock play Thursday to you all?
19:37I have no idea.
19:38With Colin Kyle last night saying, I feel some pain.
19:40You'd think no, but I have not – like, I –
19:43Like, that's not good for them, man.
19:45I'm just not knowing.
19:46I think I speak for Dibs, too.
19:48Like, you tell me if you agree, Dibs.
19:49Like, I know you guys and even – and the Joes this morning,
19:53there's a lot of, like, OKC, you shouldn't have played him,
19:56or this is what I do this week.
19:58I personally have a terribly hard time giving radio opinions over someone's health.
20:06I have no clue.
20:06So, that was just a Brock bad performance.
20:08Maybe – well, yes.
20:10And was he 100%?
20:11I guess not.
20:12Does that mean he shouldn't have played?
20:13No.
20:14Maybe Mack can't walk.
20:15And I have no clue.
20:17I have no clue what's going on.
20:19I do think he was the less healthy of the two.
20:21He had an injury designation and Brock didn't.
20:23But I laughed at Stine when he brought up Martinez.
20:26If – again, if – I asked Stine in the green room.
20:28If they knew they were going to get that Brock Purdy, he wouldn't have played, right?
20:32No.
20:32OK.
20:33So, but you can't –
20:34No, no, no, no.
20:34I'm disagreeing with you.
20:36How do we – nobody even knows who Martinez is.
20:39Because he might be awful.
20:40In fact, I would guess he probably is.
20:42I fought all week for him.
20:43He's a third-string quarterback.
20:46Like, why would that, you know –
20:48So, you're taking 60% of Brock than 100% of Martinez.
20:53Again, the whole percent thing.
20:54If he's cleared the play and he's moving well and there's a game –
20:58And he obviously said I can go.
20:59Yeah.
21:00Like, I'm not going to – I think that's cherry-picking to come in today.
21:04And because somebody woke up not feeling good,
21:07now it means he shouldn't have played.
21:09The question was, if you would have known how he would have played
21:13and what would have happened, would you have played him?
21:15And I was like, no, of course not then.
21:18Because he played, he aggravated, they lost.
21:21It's like, there's your key, though.
21:23Nobody would be saying this if they won.
21:25Right, of course.
21:26They lost.
21:26So, they got to, like, the triple whammy,
21:28and now we've got to wait for Thursday.
21:29That's how you ask the question.
21:31Would you have played him if you had known that you were going to lose?
21:34No.
21:35Of course not.
21:35But if we don't know Mac, like Dib said, his availability,
21:38that's what's scripting about this is Mac.
21:40And that's what I'm saying about Thursday.
21:41Like, okay, so Brock's toe is not great, and Mac's knee may not be.
21:46Yes.
21:46Just throw in Adrian, sit all the starters, and treat it like a preseason game.
21:50You won't because it's a divisional game, and that's not the way it works.
21:54So, if Brock can go out there and gimp it up at whatever percent he was yesterday,
21:58he's going to go play, and that's just the way it's going to go.
22:01And the other one is Juwan Jennings.
22:03So, he's on the injury report with a shoulder and a knee, and then, well, now he's on with a rib.
22:08That's my point.
22:09So, he was out there, and he gets the McRib on the two-point play, and it's like, oh, my God.
22:15The very next snap, they threw him the ball on the interception.
22:20Is anybody else?
22:21And I mean, how do you know that a certain person is a million times tougher than you?
22:26That would be the one.
22:27He's over there on his back, like, wincing.
22:29I don't know if he's going to make it.
22:32Next play, we'll go your way, Juwan.
22:34I like your question.
22:35How do you know someone's a million times tougher than you?
22:37Every single person on that TV is a million times tougher than me.
22:40Well, when you see that, and you see the replay, it's like, oh, my God, how many ribs did he break?
22:45Let's get back out there.
22:46Is anyone else fighting this?
22:47Like, whatever it is in life that's frustrating, it could be something, family, work, or whatever.
22:52But you know how sometimes you get to the point where you're just like, just bleep it.
22:56I'm out.
22:57As you get older, you get more of that.
22:59Right.
23:00And we as fans, you don't get to do that with the whole injury thing.
23:06I'm so, like, I'm fighting it where I'm just like, this is so frustrating.
23:12I hate Will.
23:14They're hurt on every play.
23:16And then he goes down like, that's a tease, man.
23:20What do you mean?
23:20Like, Ricky Pearsall, he'll make the play.
23:22And I'm not faulting him.
23:23He's hurt.
23:24And then you don't get, like, go do it again.
23:26It's like, PCL, minor P.
23:29It's like, this dude's making crazy plays.
23:32He's a phenomenal player.
23:33And then he's laying out when he's healthy.
23:35Yep.
23:35But damn.
23:37I don't know his availability Thursday.
23:38I mean, Malik neighbors, like, go around the league.
23:41I don't know if it makes you feel any better.
23:42Go around the league.
23:43If that does.
23:43No.
23:44Everybody's still sitting down here.
23:46No, they are.
23:47They are.
23:48You just did, Will.
23:48No, but think about it.
23:50Burrow and Connor and neighbors yesterday.
23:55And what, 5'16"?
23:56Mike Evans.
23:57That's right.
23:575'16".
23:58They've had to play without their quarterback already.
24:01Like, I don't know, man.
24:02It was a lot this year.
24:04Dibs, you're the king of the deep dive.
24:07I did an intermediate dive.
24:09Okay.
24:09And maybe it's something you guys could talk about at some point.
24:13You don't have to.
24:14No, we'll produce our show.
24:15But go ahead.
24:15But I went back to an ill-fated Christmas game in 2020.
24:19I heard this earlier.
24:20Oh, this is kicking the books.
24:21Oh, let me be honest.
24:22No, that's what you asked.
24:23He asked, am I cooking the books?
24:24I'm in my kitchen now.
24:25I'm going, this guy's cooking the books again.
24:27Since Christmas of 2023, he's got 29 touchdown passes.
24:3221 interceptions.
24:33We've got to get that.
24:34We've got to be better than that Brock, right?
24:37No question.
24:37We've got to be better.
24:38Does that include the postseason?
24:39Yes.
24:40Okay.
24:40No question.
24:42But what do you want people to do with that, though, Snoddy?
24:44I want them to say Purdy stinks.
24:47That's also inaccurate.
24:49That's what you guys could talk about.
24:50And they didn't base those numbers in regard to paying them, right?
24:53They didn't look.
24:54That means nothing.
24:56I had to text Shasky this morning because I'm like, well, when you go, okay,
25:00now he's overpaid.
25:02If that was your opinion two months ago, three, four, five months ago, okay,
25:07fine, we're not doing that off of two games.
25:11He's played twice since the contract.
25:14And apparently in six of the eight quarters, he was hurt.
25:19Well, that might be the bigger issue.
25:20He's only making $9 million.
25:22So that too.
25:23That's what, but good consent.
25:25I'm sorry, Jordan Poole.
25:26I'm sorry, Captain W.
25:27It's time for Jordan Poole to hit.
25:29And I was right then, and I'm right now.
25:32And you know where you're right?
25:33Everywhere.
25:3495-7, the game.
25:35Not everywhere.
25:36Not everywhere.
