00:00I am Captain Appropriate Fear.
00:02He cannot be that guy.
00:04Now, back to Stiney and Guru on 95.7 The Game.
00:09All right, crossover time.
00:10That means we welcome in Dan Dibley and Mark Willard.
00:15Gents, how are we doing today?
00:17We're doing great.
00:18Keeping an eye on that NFL wire with early cuts happening
00:23and people wanting out and people getting dealt
00:26and other people on the street.
00:28So, just kind of keeping an eye toward it.
00:31I think we're now inside of 24 hours until the actual cuts happen,
00:351 o'clock tomorrow.
00:36What did you make of the IG post, Juwan Jennings Saturday?
00:41Which one?
00:42The one?
00:42The freshman.
00:44I can't use the verbiage.
00:46Was there any other way to tell you?
00:48I was a little bit off the grid, so share with me what the...
00:51How about you do it, Willard, so I don't get in trouble.
00:53Who was the artist that came out with the album?
00:55He quoted a song, I'm blanking on the artist,
00:59just came out with a new album, and...
01:02Offset.
01:02Offset.
01:03Okay, so Offset comes out.
01:04Formerly the Migos.
01:06And so, none of us can do the whole quote
01:09because the N-word is in it.
01:11Yeah.
01:11But it is a very, very clear insinuation sensation.
01:15Right.
01:16You messed with the wrong dude, yo.
01:18Oh, okay.
01:19Wow, dibs.
01:20And so, has Juwan joined the ranks of,
01:22I'm going to social media to complain about my company?
01:25Right.
01:26Probably.
01:26Okay.
01:27Probably.
01:27So that was the gist of it.
01:29Yeah.
01:29I wasn't happy with the way you were messing with me,
01:31and you're messing with the wrong individual.
01:33Look, are you shocked?
01:35I think because we've been there.
01:36And again, I know you weren't here Thursday and Friday.
01:39I think a lot of days were like litmus tests
01:42on the percentage of calf versus cash, as you called it.
01:47And a lot of us were moving more toward cash each day.
01:50Today, I have arrived at about 99% cash.
01:54So you think the calf is fine?
01:55Yeah.
01:55He's skipping practice.
01:56Kyle Shanahan's like, he'll be ready for week one.
01:58Well, how do you know?
01:59You've been telling us for a month,
02:01I don't know about calves,
02:03and now you put a timetable on it,
02:04it feels like a threat to me.
02:07Yeah.
02:07And Terry McLaurin gets what he gets today, 96 million.
02:11But he ain't on that level, though, but he got it.
02:13No, but he got it.
02:14And that, to me, was just the point.
02:17But, yeah, I mean, McLaurin, he got it,
02:19and we're less than two weeks away from week one,
02:22and they want him bad enough to where they gave him 96 million,
02:26not fully guaranteed,
02:27but he got himself a three-year piece,
02:29and now Juwan is taking IG.
02:32Wow.
02:32Do you think that Shanahan believes that
02:36because he thinks Jennings will end up playing on his current contract,
02:41or he has a feeling that they will work something out
02:45before the regular season?
02:47I don't know if I would look at it either of those ways.
02:49I think they're trying to push the button that they have.
02:54Juwan's still trying to push the button that he has.
02:56Do you think he has one, Will?
02:57Not enough.
02:58He's got one.
02:59That's what we talked about.
03:00He's got one, but it's not enough.
03:02I mean, what are you going to do, miss games?
03:05If he licked his chicken overall, yeah.
03:0710 million for his career?
03:08I don't think you're missing the chicks.
03:08He's not going to miss games.
03:10So what I worry about as a fan is the middle ground
03:12because I feel like the middle ground is Niners don't budge,
03:16Juwan keeps getting more and more mad, doesn't want to miss games,
03:20so shows up next week and then practices twice,
03:23and you send him out there.
03:24And I don't feel he's going to be ready.
03:25We've seen that before.
03:26And you either play poorly or get hurt or both.
03:29I hate that.
03:31So I feel like the next 24 hours are huge for Juwan and the Niners.
03:38Well, and the other thing I was thinking about is if the season goes well,
03:43then week eight, Jennings might be your number four receiver again.
03:48If the guy from the Bears pans out, you know what I mean?
03:53I mean, you could be back.
03:55Pearsall could be halfway through a pretty good year.
03:57Who's the guy from the Bears?
03:59The Rams.
04:00I mean, Rob.
04:01What do you mean, Demarcus Robinson?
04:02Demarcus, he's a good receiver, no doubt.
04:05He's a good player.
04:05There's no doubt.
04:06And so if you pay Jennings more, which you might,
04:13but then what happens if everything works out and now you're in week 10
04:17and Robinson's good and Pearsall's having a hell of a year,
04:20and boy, Iuk looks great.
04:22Yeah, but what if you're four and six?
04:25Which they have been and fixed it in, you know, five.
04:29That may be something they've got to, I wouldn't say prepare for,
04:33but if their defense is all about getting better over the course of the season,
04:39they may start slow and get better over the course of the year.
04:44No?
04:44Well, you would expect that for younger players.
04:46If you have that many rookies and second-year guys
04:49and the occasional third-year guy, you would expect, yeah,
04:52with a new coordinator that they may start slowly
04:55and they may get better as time goes on.
04:58And if you look at their schedule,
04:59the back of the schedule is actually a lot friendlier than the front of it,
05:03even though the whole thing, to me, is somewhat of a picnic.
05:06You could be in a spot where you've got six or seven games left
05:09and you could basically run the table late in the year.
05:13I mean, I think it means something that they've gotten to the playoffs
05:18from behind the eight ball a couple times already in the Shanahan tenure.
05:23But as it relates to Jennings, I don't – I mean,
05:27he's going to be on the 53-man after tomorrow, right?
05:31Could be on IR.
05:32That would be four games?
05:34And there's no winner in that.
05:36As far as week one in Seattle.
05:39No, that's –
05:40No, that's – yeah, you're right.
05:43So where do you guys stand if that was your son or best friend
05:46that he just signed technically a new deal,
05:48but when you look at his age and I get he's got – you know,
05:51you look at the health of – the lack of health from the nine of receivers
05:55that you think would bode well for him to get new money.
05:58Stine brought it up like this – the ink ain't dried on the last one.
06:03Are you in that camp or – I get – hey, go get your chicken
06:06however you can get it.
06:08Yeah, get your chicken where you can get it.
06:10If you can get it.
06:11I don't begrudge him for being able to go out there and try,
06:13but I'm of the camp where you just signed a deal, you have a contract,
06:18you go out there and you work your deal.
06:21And I understand in the NFL it's not the way it works
06:23and they can cut him – they can cut him tomorrow
06:25and say, you get nothing, good day, sir.
06:28They already gave him an $8 million signing bonus,
06:31which was, you know, last time around.
06:33So he got a nice little chunk of change
06:36and then after a year you're going to come back and look for more.
06:39I get where the team might be saying, yeah, we're not doing this.
06:44I'm still stuck in not knowing what's being asked for.
06:47And that's the big part.
06:49I really sit here and feel, and I hate how waffly this is,
06:52but I don't know whose side I'm on.
06:55Because that's important.
06:56Yes, if you're asking for the McCaffrey extension,
07:00which is – or the Trent Williams extension,
07:02which is let's give you $4 million and guarantee some money,
07:05then I'm on Juwan's side.
07:06That's a bump.
07:07If Juwan is looking at his stats and going,
07:09you now need to pay me $20 million a year,
07:12then he's out of his mind.
07:13I got you.
07:14And I – like, we don't know that.
07:16But you're messing around real quick, Stonnie,
07:18with a player signs, gets two days of practice,
07:21go out there, and then you got a soft –
07:23we saw it with Aiyuk.
07:25Like, nobody wants that.
07:27I mean, the other way you could look at it,
07:29if you're Jennings, and I get it's the NFL,
07:32and this isn't the first avenue you want to go down,
07:36but you're a No. 3 receiver,
07:38but you're coming into this year going to have a much bigger role,
07:43you would think, the first eight games of the year.
07:45Maybe the whole year.
07:46Exactly.
07:47Maybe the whole year.
07:47So this actually could be a year where Jennings could have a big year,
07:53and then he's a free agent.
07:55Like, he's going to have – there's a possibility he could have an outsized role
07:59this year, have the best numbers he's ever had,
08:02and then he gets to hit free agency.
08:03He could, but I – like, every NFL player I've ever sort of, like,
08:07had the opportunity to talk to about this kind of thing,
08:10they don't ever think in those terms.
08:12No, I know.
08:13You don't think in terms of what might happen next year
08:15because you have no idea what's going to be attached to your body
08:19at the end of the year.
08:20You use every single piece of leverage you have every year
08:25to get every dollar you can,
08:28and I completely understand and, to a degree, support that.
08:33Now, again, I don't –
08:35So take that IG post as – is that your last proof of where this thing is at?
08:40I mean, how much more do we need?
08:42Man.
08:42How much more do we need?
08:43I thought it was fake.
08:45How much more do we need?
08:46The Niners are speaking like it's a holdout.
08:48Jawan's acting like it's a holdout.
08:50It walks like a duck and it talks like a duck.
08:53It's a duck.
08:55It's a holdout.
08:56Shout out Gabriel from Cleveland.
08:59Yeah, so, I mean, what do you do if you're the 49ers?
09:02You go out and you wait until cut-down day tomorrow
09:04and you see if anyone springs free that you can pick up
09:07and just throw in there.
09:09I just think that the Niners need to have a receiver
09:12is less than other teams.
09:14We've had this conversation about, you know,
09:16what they try to do offensively
09:18and now they've got two good running backs
09:20and, you know, Shanahan's probably thinking,
09:22all right, we don't need to throw it at all, really.
09:24And if we do, we'll throw it to Kittle or Pearsall.
09:27I don't think he's thinking that.
09:28I think he wants a – to me, deadline spur action.
09:31And what I dig, here's the –
09:33for those of you who are Jawan fans, Niner fans,
09:36I'm both – and I, like,
09:38I look at the rhetoric getting ramped up as a good thing
09:42because it does mean that –
09:44There's go time.
09:45It's a deadline tomorrow.
09:46Tomorrow's cut-down day.
09:48Yeah, all right.
09:48Tomorrow the roster needs to be set
09:50and both sides are starting to throw things at each other,
09:53which tells me they're putting all their cards on the table.
09:57That's why you said 24 hours.
09:58Yes.
09:59Yeah, that's why McLaurin happened today.
10:01It's roster time.
10:03We've got to figure this out.
10:04What are we doing?
10:05Are we doing this or are we doing that?
10:07And so you're seeing very passive-aggressive threats.
10:11Yes, Kawakami writes an article where it's like,
10:13ooh, you might go to IR, and then your incentives are all blown up.
10:18Like, okay, Tim wrote it, but someone said that to him.
10:22Yeah, blown out.
10:22So they're all throwing it out there on the table,
10:24which tells me I feel like cool heads will come to the forefront here
10:32over the next 24 hours.
10:33It depends on what the ask is,
10:35and it all goes back to what you're talking about
10:37because it feels like they're fairly far apart.
10:39I think you're right.
10:41If it was just like a couple extra million, guarantee this, guarantee that,
10:45and I'll feel better about it, I think that would have already been done.
10:49But you're probably in a spot if you're Juwan and your agent's Drew Rosenhaus
10:53and he's used to the big win.
10:56This is not some small-time thing, so you're probably thinking about that.
11:01Yeah, but McLaurin and Washington were at ground zero the whole time.
11:05I thought he was going somewhere.
11:06And then it got quiet, and then he got $100 million.
11:09And I think Mike had to follow.
11:12Whoa, that one might be different.
11:15He'll be out there Thursday.
11:16Boy, those two sides are really mother-bleeping each other in public.
11:23Yeah, and I know you're high like I am.
11:26Stoney knows.
11:26I'm Pierceaw, and Dib said it.
11:28But I just don't like the fact that if there is no Jennings, you're our number one,
11:33even if it's for three or four weeks.
11:35I just know the Niners are a better football team with Jennings out there
11:39when I show up in crunch time.
11:42I'm starting Juwan.
11:43No doubt.
11:43So, Dibs, to your point with B-Rob and the new running backs and weaponry,
11:47I like that, and I like Pierceaw, but you want that adult in the receiver room,
11:51and that's just what I think Jennings is, and I thought this would be done.
11:55So, I would be stunned if there's no Jennings week one at Seattle.
11:59I'd be surprised.
12:00I wouldn't be stunned.
12:01Nothing would stun me anymore, especially now that we've gotten to this point
12:04where we're less than 24 hours away from roster decisions.
12:09And even if he is able to sign today, that's, what, 13 days until the game?
12:15Can he get up to speed?
12:16Probably, but like you're saying, Mark, you know, when you go from ow my calf
12:21to now we're going full speed,
12:22you are more susceptible to have these sorts of injuries occur.
12:25My neck and my back.
12:26Sure.
12:27I think this week of practice is big.
12:30Not like if it's just next week.
12:32It's already Monday.
12:32I hear you.
12:33Yep.
12:34You're listening to 95.7 The Game, KGMZ FM and HD1 San Francisco
12:38and Odyssey Sports Station in the home of the Golden State Warriors and Valkyries,
12:42always live on the free Odyssey app.
12:44Coming to you live from the Laughing Monk Studios,
12:46Laughing Monk Righteously Brewed in San Francisco.
12:49I also think that if the 49ers believe they are in a transition,
12:55and I kind of think they do, then they're not going to pay.
12:59I don't think they are.
13:01When you say that, though, it's almost, the insinuation is that the Niners are like,
13:06eh, we won't really have to win this year.
13:09I don't, I don't.
13:10I mean, it's not that they're going to go out and not try as hard or,
13:13but the way you could look at it is, this is Brock Purdy,
13:17I know he's still under last year's contract.
13:19It's like, what's the team you're going to put around Purdy,
13:23and who do you want around him in three years?
13:26Probably not Juwan Jennings.
13:28You're going to want Pearsall and Aiyuk to be 1-2-2-1.
13:32Maybe not, but what if I looked at it in a different,
13:35sort of through a different lens, which is right now,
13:38and I think this is something we haven't talked as much about yet,
13:41you did just publicly give your quarterback $52 million.
13:45Hello.
13:46Are you really going to introduce him to the world without his receivers?
13:50Like, dude, you got to, you got to, that's part of the contract to me.
13:54You've got to then absolutely put him in his best position to succeed.
14:00Oh, man.
14:00You need to put, if that's the man, then you got to put people around the man.
14:05That he already is accustomed to.
14:08I mean, they may be looking at it like, in six or eight games,
14:13we will have our people around him.
14:15God, that's half the year.
14:16It is.
14:17It is.
14:18He could be 2-4 or 3-5.
14:19Well, they've done it before, 3-5.
14:21I hear you, but that's a lot of ifs, and that's a long time from now.
14:25I mean, I think we're saying, what if they're 2-4 and Jennings doesn't play?
14:29Does that mean you believe that if Jennings plays, they'd be 4-2?
14:33I would like to think you'd have an impact on the game.
14:35I mean, is he going to win you a couple games on his own?
14:40I mean, he has in the past.
14:41I think there's a way to look at it.
14:43If this is the start of the Brock Purdy era, it's like, I'm paying 15.
14:49I'm not.
14:50Yeah, that's interesting.
14:51Because it's just the start of this.
14:52No, no.
14:53That's his number.
14:53I'm just saying.
14:54Oh, God.
14:55I'm like, 15 a year?
14:57No.
14:58No, I'm saying.
14:58No, no, no.
14:59I've got to give Brock that guy his guy.
15:01No, Stiney, I think your point is fair, but at the same time, what is a coach's job?
15:08To me, a coach's job is to put his players in the best position to succeed.
15:12And that has to be factored into this discussion about Juwan.
15:16Are you putting Brock Purdy in his best position to win in Seattle if, you know, and again,
15:23I don't know what Juwan's asking for, but this feels like not that big of a deal is what
15:30it feels like.
15:31And that's why I've got to believe he's asking for like twice as much, I feel like.
15:39And I know we don't know the number, but I do feel like I need 10.
15:42We'll break you off 10.
15:44I need 12.
15:45Oh, what are you doing?
15:47Maybe 15.
15:49We can't do that.
15:50It's also the precedent where, you know, you've already had this happen again and again and
15:54again.
15:55And Mooney Ward said when he didn't get his money, he kind of went in the tank and then
16:00he had the personal stuff happen, but it affected him and them all last year.
16:04So you get to a point where you can't just keep allowing these guys to knock on your door
16:09and give them restructures, especially if he's not an A-lister.
16:13They've always said, you know, they're A-listers they take care of.
16:16And Juwan Jennings is not that.
16:18He had a great year, but he's not an A player for them.
16:22If they thought so, they probably wouldn't have drafted Ricky Pearsall.
16:25And now you did what you did with Iyuk and that is an ongoing disaster.
16:30So you're going to pay another wide receiver more money than you really want to.
16:33I think the precedent of Iyuk is part of why Juwan Jennings is not getting taken care
16:39of.
16:40And it's part of the reason he wants to get taken care of, too, I got to believe, is the
16:46way he watched Iyuk go about getting what he ended up getting.
16:50Remember, he had a post on social about that.
16:52Yeah, everybody, well.
16:54And I was told, I got you.
16:55Come on now.
16:56But now I feel like I was right.
16:58I just feel like everybody, every wide receiver in the league had his brain scrambled over
17:03the last three years.
17:04And I get it.
17:05Why wouldn't you?
17:06Everybody was getting humongous dollars that I think are completely out of line in terms
17:13of their importance as related to winning.
17:16I'm not saying they're not fun.
17:18They're important.
17:19They're right.
17:20They're very visible.
17:21They are the swag of a team.
17:23They are the fantasy picks.
17:24And all of that matters.
17:26But go through all the Super Bowl winners the last 10 years and talk to me about their
17:31big, bad, wide receivers.
17:32And you'll see largely a bunch of teams that look like the Chiefs.
17:37Where it's like, yeah.
17:37Up until Philly.
17:38Right?
17:39Like, well, Hollywood Brown, maybe, or whatever.
17:41Like, it's not.
17:42So, I just.
17:43But if you're a wide receiver, and you are, what did he miss, 1,000 yards by 20 yards or
17:49so, and only 20-some-odd guys are getting 1,000, and you think, I'm putting up numbers
17:54that are top 25 in the game, and these dudes are all making 30 million a year, and I'm
17:59making seven.
18:01Yeah.
18:01You're going to ask.
18:04You're going to ask.
18:05So, let me ask you this.
18:07You guys, what type of look is this from the Niners Brass, though, that you had got this
18:12rectified?
18:13It's the same look that it always is.
18:15Yeah, exactly.
18:16This is what they do.
18:17Even though it's a B, C, it's a B, an A-lister like that, I get.
18:20Well, we don't know what the ask is.
18:22And that's where you can't, like, to Mark's point, you know, you can't really make a firm
18:26judgment on where you sit based on what you know or what you don't know, and all roads
18:32lead back to Kaminga, and when we all talk about this Kaminga thing, and last year he
18:36turned down 35 million a year.
18:38It's like, whoa, he did that, then you should fire the agent, and the agent says, no, we
18:43never turned that down, and Mark was saying before, there's never anything that was offered.
18:49So, even with Kaminga, all we know is 7.9 qualified offer, that's sitting there, and
18:55everything else is, who really knows?
18:57So, it's hard to make these judgments.
18:59Well, I feel like if it's true that the Warriors have an offer for Kaminga for two years, 45 million,
19:08that makes me believe last year, they would have signed him for three or four years at
19:1420-ish million.
19:16Four for 85, 90.
19:18And I, at the time, that Kaminga probably laughed at that.
19:21Exactly.
19:22Yeah.
19:22And that was a big mistake.
19:24I think when people say there wasn't an actual offer, I think what happened is, what's your
19:30number, here's our number, oh my God, they're so far apart.
19:34We'll catch you next year.
19:36Talk to you later.
19:36And that's why I believe Draymond was talking to Kaminga and that little thing that he wrote
19:40up about guys reading the chessboard wrong.
19:43To a degree.
19:43I'm like, I believe there was some of that in there, like, dude, you should have signed
19:47that.
19:47For the life of me, I understand the Wagner and the Barnes and how Kaminga could see that
19:54and want it, or think he should get it.
19:58But he's been making six, seven, eight, nine.
20:03It's like, I get it.
20:04Those guys got broken off.
20:06But your next step is now 20, 22, 24.
20:11Do what you need to do with that.
20:13And then you'll get your 35, 40.
20:15It's like, what?
20:16You're going from eight to 20.
20:18I don't get the problem.
20:20I hope that didn't happen for you.
20:21His agent may, you know, if you believe that the agent's the one talking to the reporters,
20:25they brought up Kade Cunningham.
20:27That's where I'm like, dude, you lost me.
20:29You lost everyone.
20:30Don't compare yourself to Kade.
20:31But he can.
20:31That's why I'm saying that can't be.
20:33There's no way.
20:34Like, that's the kind of stuff that lets you know sometimes who you're dealing with.
20:37It's like, that's what we don't know about Juwan.
20:40Are you asking for 20?
20:41Then you're a crazy person.
20:44But if you're asking for 10, I think you're completely in the right.
20:49So, if you want to, yeah, if he wants to compare himself to Kade Cunningham, he's delusional.
20:54Yeah, I feel like Jennings has been such a solid player for the Niners that if he were just asking to bump up to 10 or 12,
21:04I do think they would do it.
21:05Well, except for they are, well, they're pinching right now.
21:08I know.
21:09Does he make a key as good as that?
21:10Like, they change their philosophy.
21:13You ever had a parent do this?
21:14I do this to my kids all the time.
21:16You know what I mean?
21:17Where they're like, well, you always say yes to that.
21:19Well, not anymore.
21:20There's a new sheriff in town doing this, right?
21:23Change it up on him.
21:24Mark Willard II.
21:26I did it to the kids.
21:29I'm such a softie, but I did a little one with the kids this year.
21:34I sat him down right before the school year started.
21:36I said, you know what?
21:37No more dad with hair on fire from 7 to 8.30 every weekday.
21:43Both of your schools are right there.
21:46Get yourself there.
21:48And they're like, you know what?
21:50To their credit, they're like, cool.
21:52And then I feel like a moron because I'm like, oh, that's how.
21:56Why didn't I do this three or four years ago?
21:58Well, because they've been late nine times.
22:00Well, there you go.
22:00But I think there was a low bat with the Niners this year.
22:04They're like, we're going to do things different this time.
22:06Absolutely.
22:06And you see in the way that they let a lot of those guys go.
22:10And, you know, some of the free agent contracts, like Banks gets $84 million.
22:15Okay, good luck to you, Aaron.
22:16We're not doing that.
22:18And Jalen Moore, your swing tackle, well, we don't want to pay that.
22:21Now, Greenlaw took less than allegedly offered.
22:23He's been out there allegedly to get Greenlaw to knock on his door, and he still said no.
22:27By the way, you weren't here.
22:28The Chiefs dude that called in who said Sky Moore can't catch you.
22:32Oh, he has snotty laughing.
22:33Did you know that Jalen Moore is not going to start?
22:37Oh, no, he's not.
22:37Two years, 30 mil.
22:39He didn't win his job.
22:40It's called depth, Mark.
22:41Back up.
22:42Back up.
22:44Now, I give the Niners a W for the way they handled Banks and Jalen Moore.
22:47That was correct to not pay those guys.
22:49Well, the point is to what you were saying about they are doing things differently, and
22:53it was, you know, Mooney Ward and Hufunga and Greenlaw and those two linemen we mentioned
22:58and Debo's on the move, and so they definitely are doing some belt tightening, and Jawan Jennings,
23:04whatever the ask is, they think that it's more than what they're comfortable paying, which
23:10is why we've reached this point.
23:12How was your trip, dude?
23:13Don't take it out.
23:13Yeah, can you tell these chains?
23:14Put your head down.
23:15He's been flying private jets.
23:17Dan had a trip, too.
23:19I know he did, but I talked to him about his, and his was much less involved and shorter
23:24than yours.
23:25Much less fun.
23:26Yeah, and I have four more hours to ask.
23:29They don't have the races anymore.
23:31You don't even know what's going on with Dan Dibbley.
23:33Oh, wow.
23:33I thought you had a race named after your dad.
23:36We do when they have horse racing, but there's no more horse racing in Northern California.
23:41The bleeding heart liberals and the tree huggers have put a pillow over the face of Northern
23:47California horse racing.
23:49They put it literally over the head of a horse, though.
23:52No, no, no.
23:52God, no.
23:53Ever since Golden Gate Field's closed, the Northern California racing circuit has completely
23:58dried up.
23:59So they didn't have it at the Alameda County Fair this year.
24:01Nor did they have it at State Fair in Sacramento.
24:03Wow.
24:03Nor did they have it in Santa Rosa.
24:05Nor did they have it in the Solano County Fair, which they haven't in, like, 15 years.
24:09Horses are like wide receivers.
24:11They've got new leverage, Simon.
24:13You're right about that.
24:14Tell them what the pilot told you before.
24:15Yeah.
24:16How was your trip?
24:17It was fun.
24:18A lot of golf.
24:18Seven rounds.
24:19And?
24:20All told.
24:21And?
24:21If I give you my seven scores right now, will you let me leave?
24:24And then you can talk about them.
24:25Only if you're actually correct with all seven of them.
24:28I know exactly.
24:2995, 80, 89, 88, 91, 89, 82.
24:40You were not confident enough for me to believe that those are correct.
24:43And are you telling me?
24:44Check my gin.
24:45Did you?
24:46I always called it gin.
24:48Is it gin?
24:48I don't know.
24:49Anyway.
24:49I'm more of a new vodka guy myself.
24:51Good point.
24:52Did you put everything out or did you pick up inside the leather?
24:55No.
24:56This is.
24:56No.
24:57It's all on the up.
24:58Up and up because there's money.
24:59And your body held up?
25:00Was this seven days in a row?
25:02No, no, no.
25:03Seven days in.
25:04It was five days on the trip and then two this weekend I played.
25:08So seven rounds in how many days?
25:10Nine.
25:10Oh.
25:11And you're ready for retirement, Mark.
25:13And how's your back?
25:14Dynamite.
25:15Okay.
25:15I feel good.
25:16What else?
25:16What else happened?
25:17Give me one non-golf thing that stood out on the trip.
25:20Don't point to the clock.
25:21You know who I bumped into?
25:22Okay.
25:22I bumped into three NBA players.
25:24Okay.
25:25In band and dudes.
25:26Any of them active?
25:27All three of them, I think.
25:29Well, two play.
25:31DeAndre Jordan?
25:32Is he still?
25:33He was on the Nuggets, I think, recently.
25:35He's been an actor since he's ever been around.
25:36DeAndre Jordan, Zach Levine, and Dougie Buckets McDermott.
25:40Oh.
25:41Outstanding.
25:42Does Dougie Buckets still play?
25:44He plays golf.
25:45Yeah.
25:45Okay.
25:46For sure.
25:47It's not easy when you're tall, by the way.
25:49No.
25:50Did you see them actually swing any?
25:52I asked them their score.
25:54Oh, so you talked to them?
25:55Just briefly.
25:56Did they know who you were?
25:58I wasn't going to tell you.
25:59How did you approach him?
26:00What did you say?
26:00I went up to DeAndre Jordan.
26:02I'm like, yo, would you shoot?
26:05And he goes, 104.
26:07Oh, damn.
26:07And I said, well, that's a tough course, man.
26:09That's not bad, as you know.
26:10And you're seven feet tall.
26:11Right.
26:12And then I walked by, and then I saw Levine, and he was on his phone, like, big time in
26:16me.
26:17And that's when I looked at him, and I go, would you shoot?
26:20And he goes, 90.
26:21And I said, hang in there.
26:23Okay, but at any point, you didn't say, like, I know that you're DeAndre Jordan.
26:27You just talked to them as if they were someone in front of you in the coffee line.
26:31No, I talked to them like they knew that I knew they were NBA.
26:33I knew that you knew.
26:34But I wasn't going to be like, oh, and I host a radio show in 95.7, the game in the
26:38Bay.
26:38Can you come on?
26:39You didn't take a selfie or anything.
26:40I don't know.
26:41And then what did Dougie Buckets do?
26:43We ignored him.
26:44Why?
26:45He was a little more reticent.
26:48On 95.7, other game.
26:51All right.
