The EU's former foreign policy chief, Federica Mogherini, has been detained by Belgian police as part of an anti-fraud investigation. Stefano Sannino, a top EU civil servant, was also taken into questioning on Tuesday.

00:01The EU's former foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini was reportedly detained in police raids as part of an anti-fraud investigation, according to Belgian media.
00:14Mogherini was among three suspects taken for questioning on Tuesday morning after Belgian authorities searched the offices of the European External Action Service.
00:25Her name was revealed by newspapers L'Echo and Le Soir, citing sources.
00:32According to Le Soir, the second detainee is Stefano Sanino, a top director at the Commission for the Middle East, North Africa and the Gulf.
00:41The third individual is reportedly a manager at the College of Europe.
00:45Tuesday's raids were carried out at the request of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, which is probing suspected fraud related to an EU-funded project.
